"See you." Once he left, she turned on the phone to look at the video. The sound of the wind blowing was the first thing she heard.

Wait. Was that Seculus talking? And Tassek responding not like a dick?

They were getting along.

A smile spread across her face. They were actually not arguing.

It was peaceful up here. More so than even the empty apartment; more so with the knowledge that darling didn't hate me quite as much anymore. I swung my legs over the cracked brick lining the building. Should I go back inside? ...maybe. He likely would have left for school already. I straightened, balancing for a moment on the ledge, before turning back to the stairwell and descending to Terezi's apartment. I still couldn't think of it as anywhere near my own, especially since, as of yet, I hadn't actually helped pay for it.

When the video ended, the door opened once more. This time, Seculus entered. She set the phone down on the table. "Did you enjoy the sunrise?" She asked him once he fully entered.

I shrugged. "It was pleasant. I've seen similar in my time." I closed the door behind me and glanced at the phone. He'd been recording it? Goodness, I'd forgotten. "For the most part I just like the roof. Did you enjoy the video?" I was referring to the actual video. Did it record sound too? I still didn't know how these worked.

He doesn't want happiness for anyone but himself, and if he does cause it inadvertently, he's sure to take it back. Now you know." I wanted to tell her no harm done, but I knew that wasn't true. I felt a phantom ache in my chest, both for her and the pain Louhkie had caused myself and others. There was also the fact that she was desperate enough for someone to like her that she turned to him. Oh, poor, poor dear. I held her to my chest and stroked her hair. "Relationships are give and take...he gave you nothing."
