He laughed, shaking his head slightly as the engine rumbled to life and he moved to stand behind the wheel. "A week, maybe more. My hunting skills? You'd eat seafood for a week if I caught it?" He grinned, slowly starting to push the lever forward and set off.

He was looking back at the island almost wistfully as they head off, only turning around to navigate them through a bend of currents and a small channel before glancing back again. "You had fun, right?"

"See, Ampora delivers good. You saw all the wildlife I said you'd probably see, plus you got a fuck tonne a cool photos, an' got to jump of a waterfall an' swim into cool ass fucking caves."

He blushed at that, only a small one but a blush all the same. "I have the proof that you're not a stoic ironic asshole 24/7." He grinned and sat down now that they were on deeper water. The wind was slowly picking up to a light breeze.

"Ah, you're not?" He snickered and stretched his legs out on the bench, looking at him.

"It is, those were some of the best tracks, but it's usually the same vibe, add or take a little mix here and there to entertain the crowd. Usually it's young people that are there to get smashed and hook up." He shrugs. "That's the general vibe of it, young adults that want to hook up. The oldest looking person i've seen there was probably in his mid thirties."

He nodded, turning the wheel a bit towards the wind. "So, thumping deep bass an' general Dave-incorporated beats?" He teased, head tilted slightly. "I've been to a few clubs like that. I generally end up leaving pretty early on though, because I either get bored or the screechy pitch of some of the music or the booming bass hurts my fins an' I just leave."

"I'll figure it out. Just as long as he understands "strong alcohol" an' "DJ friend privileges" then I don't care if he speaks the most redundant English ever."

"Nothing wrong with a strong bass that you feel all over your body on the dance floor." He smirked a little. "It's not too full though, if it's in the usual place I go to, the crowd is pretty chill until around four in the morning, then it fills up a bit more."

"Oh, English understands "strong alcohol" pretty well, trust me." Dave laughs, brushing his still damp hair back with his fingers. "But he looks like he's straight out of a fucking 80's movie. Maybe 60's. I don't know how he does that, he's just about three years or so older than us."

When you're on just drag me along an' I'll judge your music skills for all to see." He grinned a bit, to show he was just teasing even though he did look genuinely interested in going along.

"That is weird." He pulled a face. "Must'a been kept away from proper civilization for too long if he looks like that."

"Huh." He looked a bit skeptical. "Every movie? Every single one? How the fuck does he find the time to watch them all? That's just bullshit, what even." He shook his head, a bit confused as to why anyone who like every movie in existence.

He shifted a bit, sitting more upright as he felt the stronger wind blow through. It wasn't too much, probably just a breeze really but it was perfect for getting the sail out. "Wanna help me unfurl the sails? We'll probably just use the jibe, there's not enough wind just yet for the mainsail." He'll probably put it out a bit anyway, to catch whatever wind there is and turn off the motor for a bit.

Eridan called him back for a second, handing him a long black rope and telling him to bowline-it around the turning point of the jibe. He followed just to make sure it was done right, before walking back to the cockpit. "Sabriel's good for this, we don't even need to leave the cockpit. Which is a blessing when it's windy, lemme tell you."

He examined the black rope for a second, it being pleasant to the eye, for some reason, and did as Eridan told him to, looking back at the other. "Just that? That's it?" Wow that was easier than expected. Kinda hard to fuck that up

He just pulled a face, shaking his head in almost bemusement.

"Yeah that's all we need to do at the front. See these cleats?" He pointed to two along the sides of the cockpit, two on each side. He threaded the end of the black rope through one, then wound it around the winch that was on the edge of the cockpit. "It's pretty easy. You get to do the fun bit, the winding. You just keep going until I say stop." He put the handle in the winch, moving so Dave could kneel next to it and stepping to the otherside of the cockpit. He picked up the red line, untying it from the framework and keeping a firm grip on it. The boat was facing into the wind, so there'd probably be a lot of noise once the jibe came out. "Okay, start winding."
