"Nothing." He sounded a little like a whiny child, oops. He sighed again, hugging him. "Nothing you can help with. I'm fine Dave, just need to sort out some inner dilemmas."

He hesitated, chewing at his lip in an effort to distract himself. "Yes and no." He said at last, hugging him closer. "I'm just being dumb. Don't pay attention to me, go order your Thai and get Sollux to carry me out because I don't want to move." He attempted to joke, but hugged Dave a little tighter despite his words.

Instead of leaving him, Dave instead got up with Eridan in his arms, kissing his cheek. "You know what you need? You need to pet a cat. Let's go pet a cat." And so he heads for the living room with him.

"Noo. No Dave I don't need to pet a cat. Dave. Dave no." He clung to him as he was carried, resting his chin on his shoulder and sighing moodily. Really, he was happy that Sollux and Dave were getting along just fine, he was just afraid of being left out.

Dave plopped down on the couch with him, giving him another kiss, and promptly stealing Eona from Sollux. "Tough luck buddy, your time is up. Order some curry for us, will ya?"

"The fuck?" Sollux frowns at them, but one look at Eridan's pouting, slightly too upset to be fake expression and just sighs. "What kinda curry do you want..

Eridan cuddled Eona close, turning so that he could rest his head on Dave's lap.

Dave just petted Eridan's hair, holding him close as Eona mewled softly at him. "Doesn't matter, the good kind of curry."

Sollux rolled his eyes and floated off to go find a menu for a curry place and a phone number

Eridan shifted and curled up, hiding his face against Dave's stomach and gently scratching Eona behind the ears.

Dave ran his fingers through Eridan's hair, staying in silence for a little while. Eventually though, he speaks up. "Can I rub your horns?"

"You're a bit of a horn slut aren't you?" He asked, humour colouring his tone like food colouring. He raised a hand to cup Dave's cheek, rubbing his thumb over his skin. "Maybe I should give you a massage in return for the horn rubs you've given me instead."

Dave can't help but laugh a little, nodding as he leans into his hand. "Can't help it, I do it for the sweet purring. I'm addicted to it. Especially if its yours."

"That sounds like a great idea, actually. Not now though. Now I want you to feel as special as you are to me."

He rolled his eyes, though the effect is ruined by him still face planting on Dave's stomach. "Why me? Sollux purrs louder than me, I could hear him from my room!" He said the last bit louder, and snickered when Sollux called back.

"Not my fault!"

"Why can't I give you a massage now? I'm fine." He wheedled, shifting to look up at him.

His grin widens, and he leans down to nuzzle his hair. "Because your purrs are more special. Takes effort to get them out of you, and I love them. I may be a horn slut, but Sollux is a purring whore."

"Because you're making that face." He bops his nose. "You're making the face that makes me want to make you feel good again."

"I'll slap you for that."

"Shut the hell up and get us curry, escort." He nearly got a pillow to the face for that, but Sollux missed.

"You're not gonna give up until I say yes are you." He frowned at him, gently brushing his finger over Eona's nose. He sighed, resting his cheek against his leg again. "Fine."

He snickered at their antics, just petting his hair while they had their little banter. "Yep, definitely not gonna give up." He nods, and just kisses the back of his neck before finally starting the horn rubs, applying what he learned with Sollux.

He doesn't relax straight away when Dave starts, not like Sollux did. It's a gradual process, the gentle action slowly unwinding his tense and unhappy bones and muscles until he's lying there, eyes half closed. The purring doesn't come until Dave's been at it for ten minutes, and even then it's quiet, merely a rumble.

Dave is patient and cautious with his methods, so he's already expecting a long ass time to go by before he relaxes, but it's really rewarding to slowly see it happen in his features. When he low rumble emerges, Eona seems interested again. And gently paps his adam's apple with her paw, since she can feel it there quite well.

Eridan shifted her away a little, not too happy to feel that. It felt weird, and he jjst settles her on his chest. His purr doesn't get any louder or stronger, and that's probably due to Eridan's reluctance to relax fully. But hey, at least he's purring a little bit.

She mewls in protest, but understands that she probably shouldnt do that again, and ends up just curling up over his chest as a small purr of her own starts to be heard as well.

Eridan figures it'll probably be a little embarrassing if the kitten has a louder purr than he does, but loses the train of thought under Dave rubbing at his horns. Ah well, who cares. He currently doesn't.

The kitten can't purr very loudly since she's really young, so it about matches, really. Dave leans down to place soft kisses on his hair as he rubs his horns, the kitten watching like she was watching prey

He didn't really fall asleep, but he sort of zoned out of everything that happened around him. When he zoned back into focus, Sollux was sitting on the ground with his head resting against his hip, fiddling with something on his phone.
