Eridan grins at Dave, quick then gone. The shark bumps against his legs, thrashes a little before it settles. Eridan frowns down at it, running his hand gently over the side. "I have a clip-tracker in the box in the third cupboard on the left hand side above the couch. Someone get it. Now." He didn't want any animals to die if he's got the chance to help them. And while this little shark looks okay, there's something wrong with it's gills, maybe a blockage or something, but he can't do anything until the boat is anchored. So he'll tag it, get all the details down and then track it later. Maybe when everyone else is asleep.
Someone pressed the tracker into his hands without a word, and he hears Sollux sigh before there's the small computer that comes with the tracker hovering by his head with the help of psionics.

The someone that went to get the tracker wasn't Dave, because he was still trying to figure out where the tracker was from Eridan's explanation when it got there. He isn't very good with directions.
He looks up at Sollux once he sees the computer, raising a brow with a small pleased smile. "Are you going to help?" That gives him some brownie points, definitely.

"You're on boat watching duty, aren't you. Meanth I'm the only one left and I'm ninety-two perthent thure he'll drown me if I cauthe the death of a thea creature. Doethn't give a shit about himthelf, oh no. Thea creatureth need all of hith care." He rolled his eyes, leaning over the side a little to have a look at the shark again.
"Can you two shut up with your petty black attempts and bickering. I don't want to go poking holes in things." It's called a clip on tracker for a reason, but who cares. He makes sure it's adjusted, then types the details into the computer and sets the tracker on. The one on the shark beeps once, and the computer instantly locks on to it. "Done. Gimme a sec, I'm just gonna get this one moving. See if it understands me enough to follow the boat." He slipped into the water again, gently guiding the shark down away from the prop.

Dave still laughs a little, shrugging. "So you are, good." And with that they stop their little bickering. Until Eridan is off the boat again that is.
"The aquarium is looking pretty good, he has qualified staff there and they've taken care of most sea life that the other places cant afford to take in. Plus, it's open to the public, so they do make money to cover the bills, it's not just 100% spending." He hoped the shark would be alright.

"It'th frivulouth thpending." He insisted, moving the computer back inside the boat and leaving it on the bench next to him. "He bought it for hith own needth, and then thimply added to it tho that it would theem official. What thort of lithenthing doeth he have for it? Jutht becauthe he can underthtand the fish and shit doethn't mean he should thet up an aquarium or rehabilitation thenter or whatever the fuck it ith." Still, he was glad that it hadn't been for some selfish need. Eridan looked like he was actually being useful with it.

He has to roll his eyes at that. "Are you still insisting on that? How is taking care of animals frivolous? Just because he feels good doing it, it doesnt mean its selfish of him to buy the aquarium. Also he is trying to get the license so that he can also legally help around."

Sollux just scowled, flicking Dave on the nose with his psionics. "Look at it from my perthpective. He'th been a literal piethe of shit for a long time, and he'th been known to buy thingth for hith own thelfish dethireth and not give a shit about anyone elthe. Pluth the fact that Feferi had all but ordered him to keep a low profile, get hith dumb degree and jutht bathically don't do anything outrageouth. Then he doeth thith. And yeth, whatever, it'th doing good for a bunch of thea creatureth, but he'th thtill going againtht what he'th been told."

Dave blinks and scrunches up his nose, not having been expecting the little spark. "And you've ignored him for the longest time while keeping a lunatic troll around who's name rhymes with "Fuck Vriska"? He's had no friends for the longest time, and I'm not changing my mind on this. He's not a slave, he doesn't need to follow orders."
2016-04-16 10:58:47 -
🌀
Sollux grimaces, feeling a little unsure about his decisions to cut Eridan from his black, and for basically throwing him under the bus named Feferi's anger. "Can we not talk about Vriska. I don't have any control over her, nor do I want to. She thtayth ath far away from me ath pothible, thankth." He crossed his arms over his chest, frowning a little.

"My point stands. You can't tell me Eridan is spoiled and a brat when you don't do anything about her. She should be in fucking jail for all I care, and honesty, I doubt she hasn't killed at least 4 trolls for fun."
He rolls his eyes, leaning on the railing so that he can look away from Sollux.
2016-04-16 11:03:57 -

"Troll rules are different to human ones. Vrithka'th... I haven't looked into that one. But she'th only been allowed to pay her way out of one killing, and that wath it. She hath paid for the other oneth, but not with jail time. I don't pay enough attention to her, she pitheth me off. The thingth she'th done..." He trailed off, scowling and looking out over the water. He didn't like thinking about it.
2016-04-16 11:05:44 -

"Right, and how many people has Eridan killed? One. Out of self defense. Yet look, she's walking around freely, doesn't have a certain fish bitch going after her and keeping her in line. Hmmm. Uncanny." Dave is so salty over this.
2016-04-16 11:07:29 -
🌀
"She hath Kanaya on her ath?" He offered, thinking about it a bit more. "Eridan'th only got more of a brunt becauthe we all think he did it for attention. Vrithka'th thneaky about it. And the trollth she'th killed are uthually from fights anyway, and she'th slipped up or they've slipped up." He shrugged, scowling. "Jutht drop it."
2016-04-16 11:08:59 -
●
"Doesn't surprise me that you'd think that, but if you use your brain, you'll realize that Eridan isn't stupid. Weird, I know, but hear me out on this: he didn't do it for attention. Why? Because he's not stupid, he was just... desperate. Not murderous."
He dropped the subject either way. "Just try to judge Eridan on your own. Look at what he does, and ignore whatever you think you know about him."
2016-04-16 11:11:57 -
🌀
"I know more than you think. I wath hith kithmethith before the meth happened." He snapped, arms crossed over his chest and mood utterly sour.
Eridan chose that moment to haul himself back up onboard. His hair hung around his face, and he grimaced a little as he pushed it out of his eyes. "We've got about another hour and a half before we reach our destination."
2016-04-16 11:17:49 -
●
Dave looked over at Eridan, his mood lifting a little again, and he smiled. "Sounds good. What do you want to do first when we get there?" He looks at both Eridan and Sollux, since he deserved to at least not hate his time there.
2016-04-16 11:20:19 -
🌀
"Swim."
"You jutht thwam!"
"I'm a seadweller you cretin, I'm allowed to want to swim more than once." Eridan rolled his eyes, dropping to sit beside Dave and turn the autopilot off. He pressed a soft kiss to Dave's temple, adjusting the direction a little by turning the wheel. "Maybe eat first though."
2016-04-16 11:23:26 -
●
Dave made a grossed out face when his shirt got wet from Eridan sitting so close, since it felt pretty gross against his skin, and took it off before leaning against him. "Eating sounds pretty good, I'm starving."
Eridan had taken the time to do his tattoos already and Dave showed them off proudly. In fact, he had been waiting for a good situation to show them to Sollux.
2016-04-16 11:28:47 -
🌀
Eridan pressed a kiss to his shoulder in somewhat apology, stretching his legs out. Sollux was could see the shoulder tattoo from where he was sitting, and had to admit that it did look rather good.
And then he saw something similar on Dave's shoulder, but couldn't quite see it properly. He squinted at him. "Don't tell me you inked him up too."

Dave moved to be sitting on Eridan's lap, a smug smirk on his lips as he turned his back to Sollux. The koi was a huge piece, and it took them days to get ready, but it looked pretty good. "Maybe"
2016-04-16 11:41:08 -
🌀
Sollux stared, and he knew that his mouth was open. But fuck, that was an impressive piece of work. He came to sit beside them, his fingers lightly tracing the patterns of the koi and the waterlillies surrounding it. He wanted to compliment Eridan on his art skills, but then remembered that he hated him. "Bet you cried like a little bitch, Thtrider."
2016-04-16 11:42:16 -
●
He looked very smug, good thing Sollux couldn't see. "I'm used to more pain than that." He just says, shrugging. If Sollux paid close attention, he could see the huge scars that got covered by the tattoo, and he could definitely feel them if he traced his fingers over them. "So I'd say I just complained like a mature bitch."
2016-04-16 11:44:16 -
🌀
Eridan kissed his cheek, his arms around Dave and keeping him steady. "It was a bitch to go over the scars." He sighed, rubbing his thumb over Dave's skin. Sollux could feel the scars, and even had a vague idea as to where they came from. He gleaned that knowledge from the few times he'd gotten psycho-analysing on Dave. He didn't mention it.
"I'm thurprithed you managed to even do them properly." He snarked, trying to cover up that he liked the fact that they /both/ were inked up.
2016-04-16 12:27:17 -

Dave kisses Eridan's neck in return, humming softly in content. "Thanks for doing them for me. This would have costed me way too much money at a regular tattoo parlour."
He can't lie, the scars really hurt, and he did cry when Eridan went over the big one from his shoulder to his hip, but it's not like Sollux needed to know that. "I love them."
2016-04-16 12:30:55 -

"All it cost me was a few mixed songs and a free coffee." He grinned, not really caring the fact that Sollux was watching him be openly affectionate. He shifted Dave over again, his arm around his shoulder now. Partly so that Sollux could see the clock one as well, and also because he had to drive a boat here.
Sollux eyed the clock, shifting over a little to make room. "How many do you have?" He asked Eridan after a few moments of silence, shifting his gaze from Dave's tattoo to Eridan's. "Did you get that sign thing you wanted?"
He nodded, a little surprised that Sollux was showing interest in him.
