But this one," he pointed to the other page which showed like a coral sort of scene with a lot of sea creatures and waves. It all blended together and looked quite neat. "I like this one as well."

He hums a bit in thought. "How about you start out slow? Get the ones you really want to get first, and you can get the rest later if you're into them. Each of these is going to take at least two or three hours either way. But I like the wave, its more simple."

He rolled his eyes, but flipped through a several pages. It did have a seahorse, but not a very detailed one. It looked sorta tribal,mand the seahorse was cut in half by the Aquarius symbol. There were a few wave-y sort of designs are the outside in a circle.

"Yeah well it's not like that'll be anything new." His fins bristled and he put his sketchbook down with probably more force than necessary. "Latex. I've been painting latex over a mannequin arm and testing it out. I've been doing this ever since I was given the book on old seadweller traditions." He hasn't really been doing it that long, but he hoped it would get Dave off of his back.

He sighs. "Eridan I'm not trying to get you not to have the tattoos done. I'm just asking you to know how to do them right before you do them on yourself. As I said, maybe go to a tattoo parlour and ask to be trained."

"I paint latex over the arm, wait for it to dry then peel it off an' go at it. It looks, feels an' acts like a layer of skin. An' since I got the book, I just told you."

"I don't want to be trained. There is no one to train me for this. This isn't just any old tattoo shit, it's a tradition. I don't know any old seadwellers that haven't retreated to far under the water that I can ask."

He scowled, and turned to yank open a drawer in his desk. The force he used made some of the little figurines balanced precariously on the top wobbled. He pulled out a stack of pale skin coloured things, and dropped them onto the desk. Latex curled when it was left without being pressed flat, but if he just stretched them a bit they would stay straight. His first few were obviously shitty, but they got a lot better as they went along.

"These are starting to look good. They look less wobbly, and more neat." He smiled a little, because fuck, if he was going to have them done he might as well tell him when he's getting shit right.

"I just wanted your opinion on the designs, not on me actually doing them." He picked up one of the first latex pieces, running his finger over the design. "I've got all the right equipment, the right inks. I've read up on everything I need to."
