"If it was, you wouldn't be able to feel this." She took one of their hands into both of hers.

They giggled. "Are you getting cold, though? Since you can feel that better now."

"Mmm, still." They rested their chin on her shoulder and looked past her at the starry sky. "It's so pretty. I didn't know they could get that bright!"

She looked as well. "Yeah, New York tends to dull them a lot with all the city lights and pollution."

I sat up in that foggy place, or 'the astral plane' as deities apparently called it and rubbed the bridge of my nose, sighing. Looks like a long night 'awake' by myself, since I'm pretty sure this thing has a range. I stood up, yawning, when suddenly something very, very cold grabbed my arm from behind. I jumped and spun around to find myself face-to-face with a tall, pale-haired creep who looked too much like Seculus for comfort. He was giving me an icy glare. "What do you think you're doing here?" "Same thing as you, apparently being /a fucking douchebag/. Were you waiting for me or something? Who even are you?" "You're barely even an angel. You shouldn't be here. No one /wants/ you here." "I don't want to be here either, leave me alone." "Not here. /Here/. With the others. None of them like you. None of them care about you or your well-being past the point of only average interest in your death." I took a step back from him. Every word cut deep, deeper than it should considering I didn't even know him. "Would you leave me the fuck alone?" "I thought you didn't want people to leave you alone. So I wonder why you tell them to. You must be a pathological liar, even after all of that. This is why Ivory will never love you. This is why /no one/ will ever love you. You're not worth loving. You ruined Ivory's life, so why should she forgive you? You just tagged along and they resigned themselves to it. They want you gone. They want you to leave. You should just /leave/." "ARE YOU /ENJOYING/ THIS?! WHAT DO YOU WANT???!" "I want you to see the truth. No one cares about you. Why do you bother living? It's annoying for everyone else. /You're/ annoying, a liar, a nag, a hypocrite, and a terrible person. Do us all a favor and quit pretending you deserve any measure of human decency or the respect normally given to actual people." He shoved my arm again, and I felt a sharp sting. I looked down to see a spreading stain of ice. No. That can't be right. "/Seculus/?" He pulled his hand back and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Yes. The honest part. He's broken, too, and it's your fault. Just like Ivory and Ren. Good luck being lonely for eternity, you toxic piece of shit." He shoved me and I slipped in my stocking feet on a thin layer of ice. As I hit the ground with a crack I found myself sitting up in bed, drenched in a cold sweat. I looked around. Ivory and Ren were back. Ren, at least, was sleeping, but I didn't know about Ivory. She wasn't there. Seculus, what I could only assume was the real Seculus, or at least the one I knew, was still fast asleep. I stared at my arm, which was still coated in ice that had stopped moving. He'd been speaking for so long, I hadn't had time to process it, but now I did. And he was right. All of it was right. No one would ever love me. I have no right to be cared about for what I've done, even if I pretended to improve. I got out of bed and went out onto the balcony. I sat by the bars on the concrete crosslegged and looked at the stars, then dropped my eyes to my hands and started to cry. I didn't want to wake them up. I didn't want to bother them. I shouldn't even be here. There was a dull ache following the cold that dripped down towards my fingers like a malicious molasses.

When they got back, Ren passed out on the bed immediately. Well then. She guessed they were a little /too/ eager for spooning. She decided now that everyone was asleep, she could take a shower. Once finished she wrapped her hair in a towel to let it dry. As she reached for the gold earring to put back in, she noticed something under her right ear. It was like a cut, but no signs of blood came from it. Like...a crack you would see from a broken porcelain doll. Odd. She never saw that before. Then again, she hadn't exactly been around mirrors lately. With her free hand, she placed her hand to it and touched it. A shock emitted through her body, and she dropped the earring onto the ground in surprise. Okay, no touching that, but what was it about? It was best to hide it until she knew for sure. She dried her hair off the best she could before he let it down, got dressed, put the earring in, and headed back into the room. She then heard crying, and noticed Madison was no longer in bed. She strolled over to the balcony, and stepped outside. "You alright?" She asked calmly, her hair more over her shoulders than usual.

Fuck. I failed. Again. "I'm f-f-fine," I whimpered, running my wet fingers back through my for once bed-mussed hair. I don't want to know how stupid I'm being for being this upset about something I brought upon myself. I already know that I'm somehow the fourth wheel here. Might as well leave me to it.
