That he may be, but who knows what kind of damage we did. He didn't respond, only picked up his guitar and started putting it away.

Nonsense. So they can see each others memories? Big deal. Takes the guess work out of everything. Her hands slowly moved into her pockets, unsure of what to say next.

You /shot the ground/. This could just be the start of it. Should he say something? ...he wasn't sure. What else was there to say? He'd come over, intruded on her privacy, thanked her...

The start of not being two hopeless children, I hope. "Do you... think it's going to be a regular occurrence now? The memories, I mean."

Or some sort of insanity. He shrugged a little. ".....would...that be a good thing? Do you think?"

Well if they go insane then you're coming with me. "Ah...maybe? I don't know. It's not like if I say no they will stop."

Despite how romantic that might be, I'd rather not. I'm sure I'll find a way out before then. "We are not sure how they work, maybe they will..."

Like hell you won't. I'm not letting leave me alone with Clarenz.
I'm not that bad.
FUCK OFF!
"If that was the case then you wouldn't of seen anything of my memories so far."

Don't forget Beckett, you seem to like /him/. "......" ...that was true. He didn't really want her to see any of his either, they were painful for him and probably confusing for her.

Only because he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. "...I guess...if more happen, it happens?" That was some terrible positive thinking and Ivory knew it. No, everything about this was horrible. He shouldn't see these things. What if he hates her for it?
2015-07-13 03:07:58 -
🌀
No, he really doesn't. Appearances are very deceiving. He shrugged again, eyes on his guitar case before he slung it over one shoulder. Which ones had she seen? A few of them would make her scared of him, and he didn't want that at all... "....what....did you...?" He wasn't sure how to ask, or if it would be impolite. She'd asked him, but he'd brought it up first, so that was different.

You only say that because he threatens you with fire. "What did I see? Well I quite a bit, but it was all clustered together, they were all before you reached adulthood, however."

He threatens me with fire because he has nothing more constructive to do and it amuses him much more than it should. ...oh. Times weren't fun when he was a kid. "...like? Sorry if you do not want to talk about it..."

So he's a pyromaniac? "A better question would be do /you/ want to talk about it."

Yes, and a stupid one. "...um....well...I do want to know what you saw, and..." It'd been a long time since he'd thought about any of the details. He'd told Cale the basics, and of course his sister knew, but he hadn't seen her lately either, and neither of them wanted to bring it up around the other. But..... ".......yes." As long as it wouldn't hurt her.

I don't know about stupid. "Good, because something like that? It doesn't really scare me, but...I don't want to hurt you either."
Rain tapped on the roof harshly.
Thunder clapped.
Fourteen year old Ivory was sitting in the living room with a blue and black hair girl, who was braid Ivory's hair, which was currently a bit past her shoulders.
"Neither of your parents don't come home on Saturdays until really late, right?"
"Yep, every Saturday they go out together until they come home at 3. Why do you ask Emma?"
Emma looked around. "Turn off all the lights in your house and meet me in your room. I wanna show you something."
Curious, she did what the girl told her to do. Once she came back to her room, Emma had her laptop removed from the bag and opened to...a game. on the floor "What's this?" She asked, moving over to the computer.
"This new game called Amnesia, my brother just bought it and downloaded it to my computer. It's like really scary. Like it's rated M scary. I wanna see how well you do in it."
Ivory gave her a look of confusion. "Okay." She sat down in front of the computer's screen.
After a quick lesson on what to do, Emma pulled up the save she had been stuck on for a while. A red foggy room. Ivory managed to stay close to the wall until she moved into a room where there was a tall blood casket the stood vertically in the center of it.
"...is that an iron maiden?"
"I think so. Go touch it."
Ivory moved the character forward and clicked on it. Suddenly, the door flew out and let out a blood curling scream, causing Emma to jump and yelp in fear.
"okay then." Ivory turned to exit the room. Then a low, desperate like moan sounded.
"IVORY RUN!"
"What? Why?"
"THAT MEANS THE MONSTER IS OUT RUN!"
Ivory moved the character a few steps before she turned around. This was the monster? A creature with metal armor and it looked like his face was sawed in half? Emma let out a scream as the monster took notice of the character, and killed him.
"That....wasn't scary at all." Ivory spoke once the game over screen came up.
Emma rolled her eyes. "Leave it to the goth to not be scared. You're crazy."

You haven't spent twenty years with --
He jolted at the flashback/mental jumpscares. How was she not scared of that game?? If it'd been in real time instead of spanning the space of about half a second, he'd be huddled in the corner whimpering right now. But it didn't seem related to anything they'd been talking about. Did that mean they could happen any time, with no warning? .....
He recovered. clamping one hand on the strap of his guitar case and absently rubbing his neck with the other. What were they saying again? Oh. Right. "You...you will not." She wasn't scared? ...oh. Thank Sarandiel. He couldn't be hurt by that any more anyways, unless she thought he was useless and stupid because of what she'd seen.

Ivory toook a step forward, noticing the jump. "Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes." He tried to relax so she wouldn't bring it up. Obviously she didn't like him seeing her memories, so he didn't want to tell her if he could avoid it.

Children. So she'd seen Bird too. "....we were okay for the most part. He left her alone a lot of the time." As he spoke, his face emptied of expression. See? It wasn't hurting him. It couldn't.

He shook his head a little. "What parent has not struck their child at least once as punishment for something they did wrong? It teaches them not to do it again..."
