"What? Really? Or his purple crazy-clone girlfriend?"

"Yeah. I guess it was the one good thing that came out of this. Maybe they think I'm dead? I'm not sure though."

"Wow. They must've been really confident in that thing. Well, let's not let them know you're still up and about, I guess. But that won't really change much. You just can't go outside for a while longer."

"Mhmm. Just a bit longer, then things can go back to normal." Could they really?

Zane went to see her earlier on in the day. He couldn't sit around any longer, and Cale was getting stir-crazy as well, meaning he wasn't that fun to be around, especially as he was still kind of pissed about her biting him. Which is why he hadn't told him who he was visiting. He at least knew that that definitely wouldn't end well. With this in mind, he took his guitar with him to put on the appearance of just going to play on the street. He never stopped or took it out though, and instead made a beeline for the shop, going around to the back door he vaguely remembered and knocking there. Of course the main business wouldn't be open, it was the middle of the afternoon. But when Cale told him that the thing they'd had was a lethal disease, and that she had cured him -- of course he'd told Zane, why wouldn't he -- he'd wanted to thank her better in person right away. Maybe she wouldn't want to see him, what with the weird memory thing...she'd witnessed him being punished, and the stupid mistakes that went along with that. She'd probably think he was stupid, and worthless, and she'd be right, and....
......he was still staring gloomily at the ground and mentally beating himself up when the door opened.

A knock on the back door. Who could that be? Especially at this time of day? Lance stood up from his computer desk and grabbed a thin jacket before putting it on. Didn't want to die answering the door, and Ivory was currently...well...being Ivory. Besides, he would prefer to answer the door himself, being the more social one of the two. With haste, he moved to the back door and answered it, doing his best to stay out of the sunlight. To his surprise, Zane was there. Probably here to talk to Ivory.
"Afternoon." He greeted before stepping out of the way. "Come in. Whatever it is can be discussed inside. Sun and vampires don't mix, but I'm certain you know that."

He looked up in slight surprise. "...oh. Thank you." He ducked inside and closed the door behind him quickly.

"So, you're here to see Ivory. I assume?"

"Yes, I, um..." He wasn't sure how to explain why, much less what had happened at his place.
2015-07-12 09:44:25 -

"Hmmmm? She refuses to tell me what happened, if that's your problem. Then again, she's never really open about her problems in the first place."
2015-07-12 09:45:34 -

Well, that obviously wasn't an issue anymore. "I do not know if it is a problem, it may be partially, but...I hope not?"
2015-07-12 09:48:10 -

"Partially? Care to explain? Like I said, I'm kind of in the dark."

"Ah...it was...like..." He raised his hands and performed some odd little gestures as he tried to figure out a way to explain. ".....a.....mutual flashback?"

Well that peaked Lance's interest."It was?" Should he tell him? Bah, he'll find out on his own. "I'm assuming Cale doesn't know about this yet because Ivory is still in one piece."

He lowered his hands. "...no. However, several glasses are not."

"Good. It's best to keep it that way for now. Ivory is just....well, I'm sure you know already."

He frowned. "Is just what?"

"A bit more hard on herself than one should be."

"....yes....well, more than a bit, but..."

"Yes, but she is still my best friend, and I don't want anything to happen to her." He paused for a second. "She's in her room, by the way, if you want to see her. I'm positive she'll be more than happy to see you."
2015-07-12 10:09:43 -
🌀
Would she? He doubted it. "Thank you." He glanced past him. ".....where is...?" He'd only ever been in the living room, and that was when he was drunk.

"Down the hall, only door on the right." He then heard the sound of music coming from the other end of the house. "Just follow that and you'll find her." Sounded like the door was open as well.

He nodded and followed the instructions to pause outside her bedroom door, wringing his hands, and cleared his throat slightly.

Of course, Ivory was too drowned out in music to notice Zane had arrived, let alone to hear him clear his throat. Currently, she was tapping away at her computer, writing out a commission she was given a couple days back with her playlist blasting through her laptop speakers. Her room wasn't exactly as big of a mess as one thought it would, in fact it was pretty neat. Books lined the shelves on the left side of the room high above her, most of them various romance novels. On the right side, movies stacked the shelves, a large quantity of them being her favorites. Her bed was completely unmade, and the black sheets matched the galaxy painted on her four walls. The room remained dark thanks to the black out curtains that covered her window. However, the large part of the mess was her large desk ad vanity the took up most of the rooms space. Papers of various scribbles and drawings filled its empty space of the desk, while the vanity contained a large container of makeup, with her most commonly used items sprawled out for her use.
Ivory sang along to the current song playing, not realizing someone else was there. "What if I'm an ocean, far too shallow, much too deep? What if I'm the kindest demon,Something you may not believe in? What if I'm a siren singing gentlemen to sleep?"

It wasn't nearly as messy as she'd made it out to be. He didn't really want to interrupt her. This was a pretty song, though. He listened for a moment; the chord progression was fairly consistent. He decided not to enter her room without permission, and so sat down crosslegged in the hallway, leaning against the doorframe, pulling out his guitar and strumming along to the song.
