"Probably? Or maybe they were sailing past one day and were just 'that's a nice place, I think i'll stay'." He shrugged, resting his cheek atop Dave's head.

"It's a neat place and all, I like coming here, but living here might be a bit too extreme." He just couldn't stand the thought of living alone. He needed to be around people.

Dave walked around a bit more, and stopped when they got to a lake of sorts. It was tiny, but definitely deep. "Think theres something under there?"

Eridan glanced at it, stretching to get a better look. "Dunno. Want me to go find out?"

He nods, and puts Eridan down. "Sure."

Eridan kissed his cheek as he walked past, wading into. The water and ducking under quick enough. It certainly was deep, and murky down the bottom. He swam as far as he could, eyes squinted a bit against the debris floating around the bottom.

There were a couple of old coins at the bottom, and a key, but nothing else. Not even fish.

Eridan hesitated before taking the stuff, wondering if it was left there for a reason or thrown away to hide something, but they could always throw it back in later. He swam back up, breaking through the surface and heading back to shore.

Eridan moved to sit next to him, sneezing a few times t g et the gunk out of his nose and gills that had been at the bottom of the lake. "I found this." He showed it all to Dave, looking over it himself.

Dave rose his brow at they key. "Key? What for?" Well there WAS a locked door back at that house.

He shrugged, picking it up and turning it over in his hands. "I'd say the house, but whoever threw it away probably did it for a reason." He was curious though.

Eridan weighed the pros and cons of it, chewing at his lip. "Okay fine. Lets go." He pulled Dave up and started walking back to the path.
