Fuck yeah. I slung my arm out the window against the side of the truck, leaning out into the night air. What a great evening to get the hell out of Dodge. But what now? The kid had to wake up eventually, that was how it worked. I didn't know about his girlfriend, vampires complicated shit, but at some point we'd either run out of gas or leave our hosts in the middle of nowhere. I was already starting to get tired from holding him back for so long. Goddammit.

Unfortunately for me as well, I was starting to feel a little weak too. On the bright side for me, I saw a couple step into the woods as the car passed them. They looked young, mid-twenties. Looking like they didn't want to be caught with something. Time for a snack. I put the breaks on the car and got it to a stop. "I'll be back. Time to have some fun." I stepped out of the car.
