Terezi glanced at the sun. Shit, it was still day. "I'm thinking later I might go over to Tassek's and try to talk to him. I don't want any bad blood between you two."

"Thank you, but there is decidedly no bad blood on my side, you don't have to bother. Besides, it's mainly Louhkie secreting hate for me into everything he touches. It would be best to not give him a chance to make darling angrier by bringing me up in unnecessary conversation."

I went over to the TV, tracking down the power button and avoiding the volume knob at all costs this time. Then I sat on the couch, moving the folded blanket aside.

She put the DVD into the movie player, and hit play once the menu came up. She sat down on the couch, avoiding the streams of sun that peaked through the curtains.

I glanced over and noticed her shrinking away from the long beams stretching across the couch. Oh, right. I quickly got up, grabbing the blanket, and moved to the window, stretching it across and keeping it there by wrapping the corners around the curtain pole. There. Then I returned to the couch, now sunlight-free, to watch the movie.

I smiled at her, then turned my attention back to the screen. This was definitely a better-quality film. It was also in color, which was a plus. I was leaning forward with my elbows on my knees, propping up my chin in my hands.

After one or two more movies and various other things, I glanced at the clock. Good heavens, five thirty already? I'm joking. This day had been ridiculously long. I'd been anticipating this since last night. I got up off the couch and looked at Terezi. "I need to get to the cafe. I believe it's dark enough for you to come with, if you so wish...." Anndrea had said she'd wanted to see, maybe this could be her chance.

Oh, it was that time already? Hmm. "I think it'd be best if I visited Tassek today." She stood up from the couch. A part of felt a little saddened. The fuck? "Though, maybe some other time."

Once Seculus left, Terezi fixed the hole in her pants and retrieved her hoodie. Now she doesn't look like a total tool box. She exited her apartment and made her way towards Tassek's apartment.

I managed to find the cafe, but stood awkwardly by the door for a few minutes, not sure where the owner was or how I would find him without seeming relatively creepy. Fortunately, he came out for me at the appointed time, a broad grin in his face. "Good to see you decided to come! Let's get you in uniform and I'll have Daisuke show you the ropes." This was fairly straightforward so far. I nodded and followed him to the back room, watching the other employees at work. I still wasn't entirely certain what was going on here. "So, what's your name? Need something to put on the employee roster." "What? Oh--Seculus." Oops. Maybe I should've come up with something else. It wasn't exactly something someone would name their child. "Seculus? Great. The girls will eat it up. Good job coming up with that beforehand." Huh? Well, that was one less thing to worry about, but again, huh?

Soon enough, Terezi found herself outside Tassek's door. She had planned that she would slowly ease onto the topic of Seculus, and go from there. Though things never go to plan. She knocked on his apartment door.
