"No. Not even to infiltrate my school lacrosse team." Why lacrosse? Well, Cale seemed like the kind of guy to play lacrosse, for whatever reason. She didn't say anything about the other man. What could that mean? "You didn't kill him, did you?"

β
Terezi gave out a weak chuckle. lacrosse? Well that was a new one. "No. I didn't kill him. Maybe he realized how bad he fucked up and decided to quit while he was ahead?"

π
"Maybe." He was no doubt physically traumatized, though. Broken arms and the like. "I figured one of them would at least try something at my apartment though, since they both know where it is. Maybe we're lucky and they'll just leave us alone." Maybe. What was with this 'us' business again? Don't get ahead of yourself, kid.
2015-04-15 16:49:32 -
β
Us? Well whatever. It did make sense at the moment. "Maybe. Or they're plotting something. Though I'm hoping that your idea is the more true one." Well, at least she hoped Spyders wasn't planning anything more if she didn't tell anyone what happened. Though the following didn't let up.
2015-04-15 16:54:12 -
π
"Yeah. But until then I guess we get some peace." Right? And from the subconscious that knows more than it has any right to, didn't Zane say they beat Spyders up? So why would they be plotting something? But I digress.
They arrived at her apartment. He took one last look at her scarf. "Well, we're here. Thanks for meeting my dad. I think he really like you."

β
"I guess we should enjoy it while we can." She figured Cale had given up by now. Probably got the hint he royally fucked up. Again. Though this time no one was dead.
Her gaze never left his face. "One can hope he approved of me. Shall I see you again soon?"
2015-04-15 17:03:57 -
π
This time? He felt his face flush a little as she stared at him, probably from the cold. Probably. "Y...yeah. I hope so." He tried to think of anything he could invite her too, but every social event was that came to mind was just a college dorm party full of people he didn't know. Not that going to a stranger's party at all wouldn't be awkward enough, much less with a girl. Ugh, this was why he needed a larger circle of friends. Or any at all. At this point the only possibility was the librarian's 41st birthday. Which technically he hadn't even been told about, only overheard.
Pathetic.

Terezi smiled and turned to face her apartment. "Goodnight Tassek." She calmly spoke. "Be safe, okay?" Obviously, she had nothing in mind. Really, what could they do? She was a vampire. He was human. That's how it will always be. This wasn't Twilight and there was no sparkly dude falling to their feet at the sight of. Though, she would admit that she really was starting to enjoy his company.
Maybe it was why she saved him so much? Just to see him again.

"Night. You too." Really. Because if you didn't, there was nothing he could do about it. "See you." He waved and stuck his hands in his hoodie pockets again to keep them from going numb, walking back towards his building. He glanced back at her before disappearing around a corner.

She waved back and walked into the apartment building. As she headed in, she removed her scarf and rubbed her next. These should go away soon, right? At least he walked her home. As usual, Tassek was as sweet as could be. He really deserved a better friend than a vampire. She sensed Spyders on the roof once again. Looks like he'd be making himself comfortable then. Though, it was probably evident to him now that Tassek was indeed human. As if he needed anymore proof that Tassek didn't change.

That was the last time Terezi saw Tassek, at least for a while. Spyder's antics only escalated from there.
At random periods, he'd come into her house and get physical once more. He never once left the roof. When he fed, he'd choose random people from her building to kill, just to give her the illusion that he was coming for her.
He had never hurt her until that day, and now he was making up for it.
Everything about him scared her now. His gaze alone could make her flinch now. Eventually, she even stopped leaving the apartment to feed. Terezi didn't want to run the risk of seeing him. On top of that, she couldn't hide the bruises anymore.
The makeup couldn't fully cover the black eyes. The hoodie only covered so much of the bruises on her arms and neck. Along with it, scratches trailed down her back, neck, and shoulders. It was safe to say Spyders officially found his outlet on her.
She still remembered the words he whispered to her before leaving the other day.
"Peut-Γͺtre que je pourrais vous tuer la prochaine fois. Je vais voir comment je me sens."
Threat or not, it scared the hell out of her. Enough to cut off contact with anyone.

Tassek arrived at Terezi's apartment on a snowy day, bundled up from the cold. Since he'd walked her home, he hadn't had time to visit, as he had been busy with tutoring more students for midterms, along with taking his own. One girl seemed to be almost faking her lack of science-related knowledge. Oh well. Not his business.
Today, though, he'd brought a movie: the original Dracula. He figured either it would go horribly wrong, insult her, and end with him kicked into a snowdrift, or be a good laugh. He hoped for the latter. Desperately.
As he entered the lobby, wiping his feet off on the mat, the landlady didn't look up at him. Curious, but he was used to the overfriendly nature of the owner of his own building.
Going up the stairs to her apartment, he hid the movie case behind his back and knocked. Better see what kind of mood she was in before digging a grave for himself.

The sound of someone knocking made her yelp. Even she had to admit that she was a mess. Also, the noise scared her so loud she fell off the couch, almost getting pricked with the terribly sew piece of fabric she was woarking on. She just couldn't get her hands to stop shaking.
Was it from hunger or fear though? She really didn't know.
Fortunately for her, Spyders still remained on the roof, so that meant Tassek came over to visit her.
She stumbled to get herself standing, and headed to the door. She opened the door a crack to expose her hand,"Hey um..." Her voice was monotone. "I don't think this is a good day you to um...visit."
God,he smelt amazing. She gripped the door, trying to fight the instincts to bite him.

His voice and expression betrayed disappointment. "Are you busy? Sorry, I hadn't seen you in a while, so I thought... A-anyway, I brought something that might cheer you up." He proffered the old film. Even if he couldn't watch it with her, maybe she'd get a kick out of it. She didn't sound good. Maybe she was sick. Did vampires get sick?

β
"Yeah, I'm a bit busy." Yeah, busy trying to not pulling him inside and drain him. She reached out to take the movie, but accidentally exposed part of her bruised wrist in the the process without realizing it. More broken than bruised, rather. She took the movie and retracted her hand. "Maybe we can watch when I'm not...so busy?" Yeah, that sounded good, but when will that be? Never, probably.
2015-04-16 00:12:25 -
π
His eyes widened at the sight of her wrist and he tried to pull the door open further. "What happened to your arm? Do you need to get to the hospital?" Stupid, /stupid/ idea, why would you bring a vampire to the hospital? /Think about these things before they come out of your mouth./ "I mean, s-sorry, do you need help?"
2015-04-16 00:35:41 -
β
He was able to pull the door fully open, and caused her to fall backwards and onto the floor. Immediately she tried covered her face with her sleeves. Dumbass, that wasn't her worst areas. "I-I-I'm fine." She stuttered. Obviously a lie. "Please, just leave. I'll be okay."
2015-04-16 00:38:53 -
π
Hell to the no. He reached out to help her up. "You're obviously not. What happened to you...?" He was actually a little scared. Who could put Terezi of all people in a state like this? "...oh, you don't have to talk about it, just please, let me help."
2015-04-16 00:42:01 -
β
Maybe she could let him help? Maybe could take just a little- No Terezi, that's the hunger talking. She scooted back and got herself up. "I'm telling you, /please/, just leave me be." She pulled her sleeves down. "I don't want you near me right now."
2015-04-16 00:45:47 -
π
He looked hurt, but returned his hand to his side in a fist. It was so frustrating. When she finally needed help, she wouldn't let him near her and there was nothing he could do even if she did. "....fine." Leave the movie. She could watch it by herself if that was what she really wanted. A small, logical part of his mind said that it was probably just for his own safety, but that part had been gagged and tied up in a corner for now. With the goat.

β
She wanted him to help. She wanted to let him in and explain everything, but she couldn't. Terezi didn't want to hurt him, and didn't want Spyders to hurt him either.
But now, she made him angry. Fuck, this day was getting worse and worse. She rubbed her eyes. Fuck, she was crying. Terezi turned her back to him. The last thing wanted was for him to see her cry.
"I'll see you when I can, just not now."

π
He was mostly just mad at himself for being so useless. Staring at his shoes, he heard the slight choke in her voice and turned to go. "....I...guess I'll see you later, then." Then, closing the door quietly, he disappeared back to the street and sat on an icy bench to fall asleep in a quietly sniffling, slumped pile. All of a sudden, he felt very lonely. It hadn't bothered him before, but now that he had someone to miss, it came on full force.
When he woke up he felt like he might have caught a slight cold, but that just served to clear his head. Who could logically do that to Terezi? Only two people. Cale and probably that blue haired guy. He had no idea how to find dishwasher detergent head, so he stumbled to his feet and went to rediscover Cale's apartment.
When he arrived the door was answered by Zane, who smiled. "Oh, you must be Tassek. It is a pleasure to finally meet you officially, I have heard much about you..." Tassek pushed past the taller man, though, to face Cale, who was sitting on the couch with the wanted ads and looking confused. His face was red from cold and anger as he glared at the vampire. "What did you do to her?!" "Her? Rezi? The hell, man, I haven't even seen her since she nearly broke my spine..." "Then why is she hurt? You're a liar." "How did you even find my apartment? You were asleep when we brought you here." Not the best time to bring that up, Cale. Zane had to restrain him as he tried to reach Cale in some attempt to shake the truth out of him. "Fix her! I won't forgive you if you don't!" Would he forgive him if he did? Not that he was really in the correct mind for logical statements. Zane sighed and maneuvered him towards the door. "I regret that we were unable to be introduced under different circumstances, but for now I must ask you to..." "Wait." At one word from Cale, Zane stopped and raised an eyebrow. Tassek stopped squirming and looked at him. "I bet I know who did whatever it was to Rezi, and I won't forgive him either. What do you say to getting some sweet revenge?"

She heard the door shut behind her. It was just in time too, since she couldn't hold back the tears much longer. Terezi fell to the floor once again, wincing in pain as her bruised knees hit the ground.
She fucked up, she really fucked up. Maybe this was why Vampires and Humans couldn't coexist? All they did was just hurt each other. The shakiness in her hands came back. Just when she thought it went away, too.

Cale led the way back to Terezi's apartment, much to Tassek's confusion. The entire walk Zane was asking him how he felt about the whole thing, how much he'd known about vampires beforehand, and whether he'd seen Terezi feed, all of which he responded to with "Fine", much to the return confusion of Zane. The entire thing was overwhelming to the point that he had to consciously keep himself from falling asleep, causing blatant ignorance of the questions posed to him. When they arrived, Cale yelled at the top of his lungs, not wanting to waste time scouring the shadows, "SPYDERS!!" Several pedestrians screamed and looked around as if expecting the foul arachnids to rain from the sky. This was beginning to feel like a very bad idea.

Ah yes, this asshole enters the seen once more. For weeks he was able to get away with what he was doing. Terezi was always so obedient... at least until recently. This was probably what she needed. A small boost to get the bond back.At this point, it wasn't so much to get the bond between back and more of how much fun he was having. She gave up feeding just for him? He was doing well then.
Though at this point, the obedience came to an end when he felt a vampire come near. He looked down from the roof of the building. There Cale stood, calling him. He jumped down from the building, feet hitting the ground first and making a small crater into the pavement. "I didn't expect to see you here." He hummed. "Then I guess the rat is out."
