He wasn't turned? What a relief. "Oh, thank God. I could have done more though...You might find it entertaining to know, however, that we beat your blue-haired friend to within an inch of his life and disposed of him in a plastic dumpster." He sad this last part quietly since eavesdropping passerby were liable to call the police, but he hefted the guitar which, a few days ago, had been slightly bloodstained.

Good. Now lets hope he never comes back. "He's far from my friend, but that's exactly where belongs." Her gaze moved to the other people. Looked like no one really noticed their grimm conversation. "Are you okay though? I mean I broke Spyders arms, and pain makes him go into a really bad frenzy. Don't ask why, i never stuck around long enough to find the answer out."

He rubbed his still-covered neck. "Well, I was very nearly drained, but fortunately we had the advantage of the home turf. If I ever find myself forced to fight him again, I believe I would prefer to do it at our apartment. Unfortunately, this means that he now has a personal grudge against all of us. Perhaps we should form an alliance in case he attempts something else." This was probably a futile hope, but any little thing helped.

Terezi couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, last time that happened Cale was the one who told Spyders I was here, and started this entire mess in the first place."
Yeah, Terezi was still mad about that. She had every reason to still be. As for Zane and Tassek though, she felt bad that they were caught in the crossfire. This wasn't their fight.

Zane looked disappointed but resigned. It was understandable, really. "Alright. I suppose he does not particularly deserve your trust. I am glad Tassek is in one piece, though." He would have to tell Cale when he got back. The vampire felt bad about the whole deal too, he knew.

"Yeah, me too." She moved a piece of hair out of her face, the sleeve slightly showing the blood from the incident. " I was bit scared that our luck was going to run out there."

Our? Curious. He saw the blood out of the corner of his eye. She must have had to drag a bleeding Tassek home, or at least to her apartment. "He seems to be surprisingly sturdy to endure all of this, though I have not yet seen him for myself." It was true. Even when he'd been trying to keep Spyders from snatching him off, he'd disappeared into the kitchen before he could get a good look. Ah, if only you knew, Zane. He is the iron twig.

"You're welcome to come by my apartment sometime and see him, so long as you don't bring Cale with you." She figured the two of them would get along. They both were really kind to her. "Though it won't be anytime soon, I don't think. He has personal matters to attend to."

He nodded and picked up the guitar case, pocketing the money and putting the rest of his things away. "Understandable. I will take you up on that offer as soon as he is no longer preoccupied. Thank you again."

"Anytime. Enjoy your evening," Terezi turned to leave, and walked towards the bookstore once more. As she got close, her vampire sense immediately told her someone was inside. Now who could that be? Probably no one she knew. Cale was at home and Spyders was...Spyders, so she brushed it off.
She entered the small shop and browsed through its isles. The smell off new and old books filled the air. Ah yes, exactly why she loved coming in here.
Though between the romance and si-fi section, a sapphire haired gentleman passed her with a smile on his face. Wait...what? Spyders was here. Well...now was here. He exited to shop, but he never left the area. The hell was he doing? She paid for her book and left the shop.
Sure enough, he was following her. Great.

Tassek was scrambling around trying to make his extremely minimal apartment look as neat and decent as possible while his bird screeched its displeasure from its cage by the computer corner. There was a corner for everything because of the size and existence of only three rooms including the bathroom and kitchen, with the mattress covered in textbooks in one and a laptop surrounded by pillows, blankets, and game cases in another. There wasn't much he could do, but at the very least he vacuumed.

Terezi was getting ready to head of Tassek's apartment to meet his father. God, why was she so nervous? Well, there was one reason why. Spyders was still watching her. He was on the roof of the building, and hadn't left the position unless Terezi left the building.
She assumed this was just him being harmless. Nothing to freak out over. He didn't show any signs of wanting conversation, but more or less she was worried about Tassek and his father. Hopefully the land lady won't fuck up again and make a horrible mistake.
Though she was about to leave. She felt Spyder's presence move- and go through a window. What the fuck? Then closer to her apartment.
There was a knock at the door. Nope, she wasn't going to- "Open the door or I'm going to break this lock to get in, Terezi."
Fuck. What did he want now? She answered it, slightly on edge from last time.
Spyders looked down at her, his amethyst eyes observing her every movement. "Going somewhere?"
She cleared her throat nervously. No, she didn't want to tell him, but she didn't have the choice. Lying wasn't going to work on him. He would detect it. "Yeah, I-"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was pinned to the ground, letting out a yelp in surprise as her back hit the floor. "And did I give you permission to go?"
Silence. Terezi was too scared to respond.
"That's what I thought." His gaze went to her neck. "I could kill you, you know. I could kill you and no one would even notice you were gone. For now? I'll let you off with a warning." He dug his nails across her throat before getting up "Oh and, I don't think you want to see everyone you dragged into this mess mangled, so I suggest to leave them out of it." He left as quickly as he came, closing the door behind him.
She felt him walk away, before pressing a hand to her neck and taking it away. No excessive blood. A quick look in the bathroom mirror. Oh yeah, they were slightly bleeding, but more visible than anything. She'll have to deal with it later, but her hoodie wouldn't hide these. Terezi quickly retrieved a scarf and wrapped it around her neck as she headed out the door. This was normal enough, right?

Considering it was the middle of winter, yes, it probably was normal to wear a scarf outside. Mr. Paxaro got off the bus outside the apartment building and frowned up at it. It was kind of falling apart. He had messy brown hair, a lot lighter than his son's, and had taken to wearing contacts. He was also at least three inches taller, but just as stick-thin. They had the same eyes, though. He entered the lobby, waved to the landlady, whom he'd met on his last visit, and went upstairs.

She had promised Tassek that she'd be there before his father arrived, but that probably wasn't going to happen. Terezi was rushing down the street. Shit, she was going too fast for a human. Relax. She stepped into an alleyway to calm down. Breathe, Breathe. Fuck, he's following her now. She looked down at her hands and noticed that she was shaking. Resting her forehead against the building, she rubbed her face in an attempt to calm herself down, her fingers feeling wet when she reached her eyes. She was crying? Even worse! Breathe. Breathe.
Luckily, after a few minutes she was able to press on whilst looking as normal as she could.

They needed to have a cooldown support group. Where they just sat. And breathed.
Tassek's dad knocked on his door, which was opened almost immediately by a wide-eyed Tassek. "Dad! Uh, I didn't know you were coming so early." Instead of responding, the man simply hugged him. Tassek went stiff. This was so awkward. At least he wasn't doing it outside.

Terezi eventually arrived after stopping herself three more times to make sure she was calm, or at least seemingly calm along the way.
She entered the building, and still the reminder of Spyders presence itching at her brain. He was in an alleyway a couple buildings behind them, and remained there. She didn't know if she should be jumping for joy with this fact or should be running. She gave a nod to land lady as she climbed the stairs to Tassek's apartment. Terezi arrived to a much older, and somewhat similar looking male hugging Taseek.
"I hope I'm not ruining the moment." Terezi spoke up, loud enough for the two of them to hear.

🌀
Oh, shit. What a thing to walk in on. He twitched his hand in a wave, but relaxed when his dad let go to look Terezi over. "No, it's fine, I'm sure he wants me to let go anyway. And you would be Terezi, I assume." Tassek had made the mistake of mentioning over text that she wanted to meet him, which led to a questionnaire to rival a dishwashing detergent preference poll.

"Yes, yes I am.." Terezi stepped forward and offered a hand for a handshake to him. "It's nice to meet you, sir." Ah yes, the former noblewoman knew how to make any father's heart melt, and pretending to have said confidence once more took the edge of a vampire that could kill us all in any second standing maybe a block away.

He shook her hand while Tassek tried to decide whether he should go make sure his apartment was suitable for company or stay and see how Terezi handled his dad. "I've heard a lot about you." Yeah, because you squeezed it out of him. He was actually forced to make a little up on the fly or just say 'I don't know'. "Good to know my son has some...company." Wait, what? DAD. NO.

Once Terezi pulled her hand away, she readjusted her scarf and place her hand back in her pocket. Keep it hidden from dear old dad. As for Tassek with it? Dontaskaboutthescarfdontaskaboutthescarfdontaskaboutthescarfdontaskaaboutthescarf.
"You have?" Her gaze went to Tassek. "Well I'm sure you've only heard good things. Your son is such a nice person."

Tassek blushed a little and settled on the former, ducking back into his apartment. He'd noticed the scarf and begun wondering, especially since she'd said she didn't feel the cold, but maybe it was just a fashion statement.
His dad smiled as if he was to credit for Tassek's pleasantness. "That's right. It seems as if you two get along famously." He winked. DAD. JUST STOP.
Tassek was inside banging his forehead on a textbook that was supposed to have ended up on a neat stack.
2015-04-15 01:14:54 -
●
Wait..why did he wink? Wait- OH SHIT. Come on, play it off Terezi.
"Yeah, many think that we've been friends for years instead of a short while." That was enough of a hint that they were just friends, right?
If Terezi was even remotely human, she;d be blushing right now. "Well, shall we go inside? I'm sure Tassek isn't one for waiting."
2015-04-15 01:22:46 -

He had his hopes too far up now. He would just keep trying. Nodding, he pushed open the door and entered the small apartment.
Tassek dropped the book hurriedly with a slight red mark still on his forehead, but he covered it up with his bangs. He seemed a little embarrassed at the size of his living quarters and had tried to shove everything against the wall to make more room. There was a blanket over the birdcage, but scuffling and a few tweets could be heard from underneath, and next to it was a large pile of pillows alongside his laptop.

Terezi followed the older gentleman into the apartment. What the fuck was she saying? If anyone was old, it was her.
Once she was inside, she pulled the hood off her head. Once more, adjusting the scarf to where it now covered her neck fully. Speaking of which, the cuts scabbed over, but hurt every time she talked. She guessed it was time to shut up and let Tassek do most of the talking. It's not like she really had anything she could talk about in front of his father anyway.
2015-04-15 01:40:51 -
🌀
He had to do most of the talking? Well, shit, they had a problem. Socializing was not his forte. He went to find chairs or some sort of equivalent while his dad made sure with his eyes that there weren't hidden drugs or something, though he did walk over and pick up one of the FNAF boxes. "What's this?" he called to Tassek, who was dragging a stool out of what passed for the kitchen. "What's what? Oh, that. It's just a game." Unfortunately, he'd already read the back. "A horror game? Why would you even want to play something like this?" "Dad, it's practice. And it's fun." "I guess it's better than jumping off the swingset, but really? You know this doesn't work." "It's fine. That's what the pillows are for." His father had begun to look very concerned and glanced over at Terezi as if to say 'have you been condoning this sort of behavior?'
