I heard the other bedroom door open and caught one of Terezi's quiet thoughts. She needed some air. Maybe she wouldn't want company, but if not I could always just leave her alone again. I slowly stood up with a wince and almost fell down again, lightheaded. Aggh, my sinuses. One of my wings very nearly knocked over a lamp and I caught it, freezing to look at Anndrea. When she didn't wake up, I carefully straightened the lighting fixture and followed Terezi.

Terezi heard another door open and turned her attention to who was coming out. Seculus. "You too?" She asked quietly. God, her voice sounded so nasally. Is this how she's going to sound like from now on? Please no.

I nodded and coughed into my sleeve. Bloody hell. We both sounded absolutely horrible.

She leaned her head against the wall. Oh god, the coolness felt so wonderful. "And so it begins, and the beginning is fucking terrible."

🌀
"At least we're not...crazy yet, right?"
2015-06-27 04:10:51 -
●
She closed her eyes. "My sinuses might drive me crazy if I keep sounding like a grandmother."
2015-06-27 04:11:54 -
🌀
"You sound fine, and what does a....a...ACHOO!" I sneezed into the crook of my elbow. BLUH.
2015-06-27 04:23:15 -
●
"Sure, keep telling yourself that." She pulled her head away now. Cold.
2015-06-27 04:28:41 -

I sniffed and pulled a tissue out of the box next to the couch, blowing my nose. "...I meant to say, what does a grandmother specifically sound like, anyway?"
2015-06-27 04:30:30 -
●
"She sounds as old as I'm supposed to be." She answered and sniffled. "And I prefer only a select few knowing how old I really am."
2015-06-27 04:32:47 -
🌀
"....oh, right. What was it...241? Something like that. Oh. Sorry. But, fortunately, it doesn't really matter, since everyone here already knows...."
2015-06-27 04:35:21 -
●
"Close enough. Luckily it looks like neither one of us are fit to leaving the place at all. Well...as lucky as it could be."
2015-06-27 04:37:35 -
🌀
"Yes, very lucky....." I sighed. "They're going to ask more questions now, though. What should we say?"
2015-06-27 04:40:02 -
●
She shrugged."I have no idea, honestly. Keep up with the stress thing like Anndrea said? Seems like a reasonable response."
2015-06-27 04:41:04 -
🌀
"Except stress doesn't usually cause full-blown...colds, are probably the closest approximation to these symptoms."
2015-06-27 04:42:13 -
●
"But vampires don't get colds, is the problem. Or sick at all. Tassek may not know that, but Anndrea does for sure."
2015-06-27 04:43:35 -
🌀
"Sadly, yes. Do you think hiding it is a possibility, or...?"
2015-06-27 04:45:07 -
●
She walked over until she was in front of him before staring at him for a moment. He looked..well, for a lack of a better word, like complete shit. "Nope. Not at all." She turned her head to cough.
2015-06-27 04:47:11 -
🌀
....oh. Thanks. Well, she wasn't trying to be offensive. Admittedly, she kind of did as well. "I figured...well, we'll just have to hope for the best then. Or as close to 'the best' as this scenario can get."
2015-06-27 04:52:33 -
●
"Well at least things can't get any worse than they already ar-" She was cut off by her sneezing into her hand. "Sorry."
2015-06-27 04:54:24 -
🌀
"No, no, you're fine. I mean, it's fine, you're obviously not." I could hardly even think straight.
2015-06-27 04:57:49 -
●
She took a step back. "Yeah, I know. Neither one of us are."
2015-06-27 05:00:58 -
🌀
"....no. But like you said, things can't get any worse....."
2015-06-27 05:05:17 -
●
"Mhmmm. Or they can and we just can't notice it yet."
2015-06-27 05:07:01 -
🌀
"Let's just....not think about that." I heard footsteps and darling came out of his room rubbing his eyes. He yawned and mumbled "....holy crap, you guys look like Hell frozen over."
