The next morning, Madison woke up in the desk chair with an aching back and saw that Ivory's bed was empty. He shook Ren's shoulder until they awoke blearily and started wondering the same thing he was. Where'd she go? She'd barely left her room since everything happened. Even after she started talking again. They left the bedroom and split up, Ren checking the other guest room quietly while Madison looked downstairs. After a minute they joined him and they went to check the last remaining room, the basement.

Ivory eventually fell asleep in the basement by mistake. There she remained, resting peacefully, the wad of used tissues on the table near her, holding Seculus gently in her grasp.

Ren could smell the dried blood, and they shivered. Even with all the people in the house, they still hadn't fed. They stayed back nervously as Madison got closer to try and see the other two in the dark room. The fire had gone out and it was cold down here now. They were sleeping together, looking content. It was the happiest either of them had looked for weeks. He'd stopped being upset with Seculus at this point....he'd probably done the same thing a few times. So it was nice to see him not sitting up awake, staring at nothing. And Ivory...her....her burns were gone? He motioned to Ren to come nearer. They approached hesitantly, but gasped when they saw Ivory's sleeping face.

Eventually, Ivory stirred slightly, groaning softly as her eyes fluttered open.

She'd woken up on her own. He leaned down and hugged her, trying not to move her away from Seculus, finally not scared of making her burns sting. Ren joined him, cuddling up to her with their head under her arm.

At first, she was slightly confused. "Well, good morning to you two." She groggily whispered.

Seculus shifted and lifted his head enough to stare silently at the two of them. Madison mentally asked him what had happened and got no response. ....not much of a surprise lately. He must've gotten her to feed off him. "It's cold down here. Do you want to go back upstairs?"
