"Though it's only some. Like I said, only the first turned gets it, and only the first turned can receive it. For example, Cale- you know Cale, right? Doesn't have anything special about him, and can not give any to Zane once he turns him."

Both of them stared at him. "What do you mean 'once he turns him'? When did this become a given?" "Woooah, back the truck up, I think we're jumping to wild conclusions here."

I laughed. "You two don't see it happening? I jumped in traffic and didn't see either of them for three years and I saw it a mile away."

"Truck has gone over cliff. Truck has burst into flames on rocks below." They waggled their fingers in some sort of impression of fire. "Considering how protective they both are of each other, it seems illogical to presume that either would think Zane's turning a good idea."

I exhaled. "Turning someone isn't the worst thing to ever happen to someone. See it from there point of view, neither one of them has to watch the other die, they both can properly protect each other, and the desire to kill them for their blood is gone."

"....true, but...." "Eh, I surrender. Who knows, maybe /somebody'll/ get a happily ever after." This debate was a stupid one, anyway. Who could really decide whether or not turning was inherently good or evil? What /could/ truly be called evil, or righteous for that matter? But we're getting too philosophical, continuing on. "You knoooow, maybe someone should keep an eye on me, just in case our little lost devil decides to drop by again, wouldn't that be safer~?" They almost said it as if they were being manipulative, even though it was a perfectly reasonable suggestion. Hey, maybe they were, nobody knows what's going on in that brain.

"We all get our happily ever after someday." I looked at the short person. "Well considering I have a guild to get back to and...whoever...tried to kill me, I don't think I should be the one to do it."

"Louhkie," they both said at the same time. Seculus shuddered. Ren grinned. "Truuue, so maybe not an angel. Wonder how Dameien'd feel about this...? It was technically his fault, after aaall..."
2015-05-07 08:50:11 -
●
"Wait, what?" So it was Dameien's fault. "Do you really think sending a stripper to your house will help your case?"

"......................" Okay, so that was one thing they /didn't/ know. His occupation.

They turned just a little red, but their expression didn't change. "...nnnno, maybe not."

"Thought so." Yeah. He liked to show his body to the world, and then some.

"...perhaps that isn't quite so necessary. I'll just barricade my door with crucifixes and bathe in holy water." This was a joke. Probably. Seculus frowned. "I don't think it works that way." "Shhh, let me dream."

"Well you live next door to a vampire who isn't completely driven by their urge to consume any ounce of blood they see. Just scream loud enough and I'm sure she;ll come running.'

They laughed and clenched their hand into a fist at the pain. Other than that their face betrayed no sign of discomfort. "I'll be sure to do that, if she doesn't kill me out of sheer aggravation first." They pushed themselves to their feet, still grinning but pale and a bit shaky. "Apologies for all the trouble, I suppose I'll get out of your hair. Unless you'd rather I wash it first, here you go~" They tugged off the temporary bandage and tossed it to Eilliot. The gash was mostly crusted over with dried blood, and had stopped streaming quite so much. There was a /lot/ of dried blood, though. "Thank you for putting up with that sort of behavior. I'll be punishing him just as soon as I figure out how."

"You do that." I caught the jacket and slipped it back on. Yeah, the stain wasn't that bad.

"I will, thank you very much~" After some consideration, they picked their kitchen knife up off the floor. Seculus eyed them suspiciously until they approached the door, at which point Ren glanced back at Eilliot and tilted their head. "Not everyone gets their happy ending, some lose track of the last few pages. Left in the midst of the final battle, with no hope of victory or defeat....juuuust keep that in mind." They smiled again, not reaching the empty eyes, and disappeared into the hall with the door closed behind them.

Eventually, Terezi woke up to an unfamiliar presence in front of her. This led to Eilliot explaining who the hell he was and why he was here. Naturally, this worried Terezi, because well, who wouldn't be worried if someone's father wanted to kill their boyfriend to the point where he had to leave his own home?
"How much farther?" She asked Seculus as they walked in the New York streets. She didn't want to waste anymore time than they already had.

"Not long. Any further from school or his apartment and he likely wouldn't find it worth the bother." The building appeared up ahead and I gestured to it. "See? Not long at all."

"Thank god." She exhaled. She was able to relax a little bit. Her pace quickened slightly.

I shaded my eyes to peer through the windows. Maybe he was sitting at one of the outer tables. Or, well, maybe not. Smart move, actually. Mr. Pyrope would have an easier time spotting him if he did that.

"Well?" She asked, slightly nervous that he wasn't here, hands deep into her hoodie pockets.

"I can't see him, but that doesn't mean he isn't here. Let's go in and check." I pushed open the double doors and put a finger to my lips in a shushing motion. It /was/ a library, after all.

She nodded and entered right behind Seculus. Of course she knew to shut the fuck up, it was a library, not a play ground.

I wove between bookshelves until I spotted the familiar green sweater and messy dark hair. I would've called out, but, well, /library/. He was surrounded by a pile of books, most of which from what I could tell on the Witness Protection Program and how to escape the country. He must be terrified. I stepped up to him and coughed to get his attention. He somehow managed to jump about two feet in the air from a sitting position, and one of the stacks toppled over. He took several deep, shaky breaths, sitting down hard and pinching himself, then glaring at me. "You /asshole/," he hissed, as various other visitors gave him a glare for the loudly falling books. I gave him a hurt look, but he'd noticed Terezi and didn't see it. "T-Terezi? How did you...your dad, he..."

She moved a peice of hair out of her face. "Yeah, I know. Are you alright though? Did he hurt you?" She asked. Well, physically hurt him, that is.
