The obviously violent berserker in question was also quite surprised at how much no one else seemed to care about his color, and even more so of some of their acceptances of the matespritship between himself and Tavros. He was glad they were talking to his copperblooded friend and not him; he didn’t know if he would be able to find his voice to answer. After they all dispersed he was able to relax a little, and shook his head at Tavros’s apology. “You got nothing to be sorry for. I don’t think you were any more brash than that guy deserved. Probably wouldn’t of understood if you hadn’t been! Quite stubborn and set in his ways, that one.”
He felt secure enough now to put an arm around Tavros’s shoulders and give him the lightest of pecks on his forehead before turning to the three dishes in front of them. He picked up the fork and cut a slice of the cake for Tavros, feeding it to him with a little smile. “Have some cake, sweetheart.”
“Don’t go overboard, my dear Hattie, they may start suspecting,” Eridan replied, grinning. “I hope your half hour went better than mine? I saw you talking to at least one other, how did that go?” He was glad that the rude troll had gotten some of what he deserved. Some of his words bothered him, though. Eridan couldn’t tell if his heart harboured flushed feelings or if it were just the strong bonds of a long friendship.
Karkat accepted her explanation and took her arm. “Yes, let’s go be backhanded. What should we enlighten them about this time? Should we keep on with the ‘look at his cherry eyes aren’t they bright’ or should we move on to ‘problem castes are people too’?”

He suspected the outrage and sympathy came more from him being both a brownblood and Alice rather than people sticking up for Gamzee, but he did find it peculiar how others seemed so surprised by the man's hate for purples. Tavros didn't dwell on it; he hoped to discuss things as a group once back at Sollux's apartment. At the offer of cake, he tool the bite, humming satisfaction as he curled up against Gamzee's side. He chewed and swallowed, leaning up to cup his cheek and kiss his cheek, ""I love you so much, you are perfect to me."
Vriska shrugged, "My companions were duller than a butter knife, but I suppose they were preferred to some idiot." She readjusted a couple pins in her hair before continuing, "But, Marchie, sweetie, life is much too short to act cordial completely. Better to snag a bracelet or ring whilst speaking than try to sort through what garbage they think is relevant."
"Oh yes, particularly the purples." Rainbow drinkers, and jadebloods as a whole were receiving better treatment, but it was still difficult for anything cold or sea dwelling to receive much kindness. "Any openers in mind?"

A purple blush spread across his face as he retrieved a bite of the strawberries for Tavros. Instead of some humble deprecation Gamzee decided to continue on the cheesy side of things. "You're more perfect. And my love for you is so large as to be immeasurable." He smiled brightly and giggled a little at how lovey dovey this was. But even though it was silly it managed to be wonderful, and a very nice change from the debacle before.
Eridan chuckled. "And it must be so easy with how much they like the looks of you. They distract themselves for you." He kept his tone light, but he felt a little bitter and jealous. "In the mood for a dance, Vris? Or are you going to go conquer the, ahem, Red Sea?" he said with a little mischievousness at the geographical pun.
"Hmm," Karkat thought deeply as they wandered over. "Only terrible ones, I expect. I feel like we should mention the disparity with employment Gamzee mentioned and the abuses either are likely to suffer--that 'appearance of aggression' thing that Sollux mentioned too.... If only we'd had some of that cake I saw at the table, I could compare it with what Gamzee made and perhaps talk about the missed opportunity of hiring actual talent... Or with getting fresh seafood if there was trade with seadwellers open? I feel like I get bogged down and am not snappy enough to make a brutal impact like you managed to." He was pretty sure he'd be better at a long winded lecture where as Kanaya seemed to have quick barbs down and thrown like daggers.

"Ah, so not only are you a chef, you are a poet, too!" He giggled and picked up one of the leaves with smoked meat inside. Tavros inspected it before he looked to Gamzee with excitement. "I have never had, uh, lots of the things presented here. This is thrilling! Getting to taste and eat all sorts of items." He took a bite of one end of it, and Tavros made a sound of pure delight. Chewing and swallowing hastily, he beamed a grin at his matesprit, "This is delectable! Here," He held up the other end of it, urging Gamzee to taste, "It is good. Not as good as crab, or chicken, but still delicious."
She readjusted her dress dramatically, "I could not conquer much more if I wanted to. This dress can only hold but so many items." Perhaps Kanaya could make a dress for her with many hidden pockets so she could keep stealing, but the jadeblood may not be so inclined to assist her with criminal activity. "A dance, sure. Nothing too swingy, just enough to get the blood flowing."
Kanaya waved her hand, dismissing it, "I have an idea. Just follow my lead." As they approached the next group, she did the standard curtsy before straightening, "Yes, hello, ladies, gentleman. The finger foods here are just delightful, are they not?"
"As true as a rose is red," The only male troll agreed.
"I just find it disappointing that there are no fish or shellfish or, even of you are daring, squid!" She smiled, "The sea dwellers have it all, hm?"
"Whatever do you mean?" The high pitched voice of a woman to the left questioned.

Gamzee took a bite of whatever it was. He nodded, it was pretty good, and swallowed after chewing thoroughly. “I’ve never had that either, ought to find out what it is from somebody. Maybe Sollux knows?” He offered Tavros more bites of things and nibbled along himself. Their finger foods were nearly gone so Gamzee asked, “What do you want to do after we’re done snackin Tavbro?”
“Alright,” Eridan offered her his arm. “How about a nice waltz, then? Maybe a salsa if they play appropriate music. They’re both smooth and flowy enough not to discombobulate your winnings.” He led her out onto the floor, placing a hand on her waist as he took the other and moved them around the dance floor. It was a slower song but he made the best of it by being more elaborate where he could get away with it. But nothing very rambunctious for Vriska’s sake.
“Well, dear lady, simply that wouldn’t it be nice to have such delicacies more often?” Karkat took up the reins.
“I have heard it is difficult to do such fishing,” another woman commented, dubious.
“Ah, certainly for us land dwelling trolls, but our friend thinks it is quite easy! Why, on his journey here Alice told us the Hare caught them all a fine crab feast in hardly any time at all! Perhaps if there was an alliance with their people, like the friendship those two share, such resources might become more common,” Karkat shrugged.

He shrugged, "I am not sure. We have only been here a couple of hours, but, uh, I feel as though I have been here /forever./ I think it would be rude to turn in early," Tavros admitted, "Especially with the title of 'esteemed guests.' We could try talking to everyone else, but I am not too fond of that idea, either, for a variety of reasons." Namely, he didn't like being treated as some type of celebrity because he was Alice, -something that he didn't even get to choose- and for the fact that he wasn't sure what would happen if he met someone like that man from earlier. He doubted Gamzee wanted to engage in conversation with others, anyway. "Truthfully, I am exhausted already."
Vriska flit around with him, this way and that, more agreeable with a bit of alcohol in her system, it seemed. But she saw, out the corner of her eye, Sollux on the outskirts of the dancefloor, giving a slight incline of his head in a silent saying of 'come here.' Vriska furrowed her brows, "I think Sollux requires our attention. He looks distressed."
Kanaya, as snappy as ever, placed in elegantly, "Though, I can understand why sea dwellers are not too eager to share. After so many sweeps of being hunted like pigs, why, I would not find it in my bloodpusher to give the gift of seafood, either."

"I suppose we can just sit here and relax then. Maybe people will come and chat with you about things, if they're not too afraid," he smiled a little. "Otherwise it's plenty nice just to enjoy your company." He didn't mind if Tavros wanted to converse with others, he just thought his presence would make it awkward. He was really just happy enough to sit and wait until there was an appropriate time to leave.
"Oh dear," Eridan glanced over and smoothly danced them to the side so as not to disrupt the flow and take an even longer time in getting to the yellow blood. After they were there Eridan looked at him curiously. "Something the matter? Where are Kanaya and Karkat, I thought they were with you?"
"Yes, such a shame! Brutality to others has caused us to miss out on so many things, hasn't it? Ah, If only we could amend such slights," he paused for a moment before continuing. "Well, we will bid you adieu. Good evening, ladies, gentleman," with a short bow he swept off with Kanaya again, not returning to their previous spot as he didn't see Sollux there.

"This is awfully nice," He hummed, sipping his water before smiling at Gamzee, "This is like our first official date." Tavros smoothed out any wrinkles in his dress before kissing his cheek, then the corner of his mouth, "Here we are, all dolled up and munching on cute little foods. It would be just our luck that so much, uh, is simultaneously on the line, huh?" He laughed a bit before taking another sip of his water, glad to have something cold and refreshing that wasn't champagne.
"No, they're probably off infuriating people. Anyway, I've been on edge since the Queen invited us here," Sollux began, looking at them with plenty more seriousness than he usually did, "There's an assassination in the making right now. Lots of these patrons are just here to piss off either you or Gamzee so they can have an excuse to off them and, I'm guessing, show Tavros just how 'dangerous' they are." Vriska bared her teeth, "Those bastards."
Sollux gave a quick shake of his head, "There's no time for fury just yet. I need the both of you to get Gamzee and Tavros back to my apartment in one piece. Don't worry if you don't see me or Kanaya or Karkat, we'll be shortly behind. Make up an excuse to the guards if you have to." He ushered them off then, but did not give away just how urgent the situation was with his gait or his expression. Vriska looked to Eridan, following the orders given without complaint nor protest; there wasn't any time for anything childish. "We ought to find our dearest Alice and Gamzee, hm?" She smiled slightly, looking as nonchalant as ever as she hooked arms with Eridan and smoothly walked towards the right side of the ballroom, "I am sure they are having a wonderful time, too."
He made his way to Kanaya and Karkat, offering a slim smile that would be considered friendly by all, but once he was close enough, he muttered, "We have to get out of here now. Long story short, I heard some shit about killing purples tonight, Queen's orders. Vriska and Eridan are already taking care of Gamzee and Tavros, what's left is us."

“I thought you said no lip to lip contact,” Gamzee giggled quietly. “We’ll have to have a picnic when we go back home. Maybe stop in at a teashop in Undlegire? Let’s make excuses to do date things on our way home when that happens. Might be a while, but it’ll make it more special, yea?”
“I wonder if that’s what that guy was after...” Eridan mused as he caught sight of the pair they were searching for. “And maybe even the other ones... Let’s make vapid happy conversation as we go over, not let them know about what we’re doing,” he whispered to Vriska before picking up some random stupid topic and attempting a good chuckle. It was disturbing to think that they were coming after the both of them. Really mature. Soon enough they got to the other table and he relinquished Vriska’s arm for a moment so she could go talk to Tavros quietly while he filled Gamzee in, making an excuse to be close by straightening the other purple’s coat, some.
“Shit I knew she’d be shifty,” Karkat muttered. “Well, let’s depart. I think we’ve sewn enough seeds of enlightenment, don’t you?” he looked up to Kanaya with an eyebrow raised in joking question, turning to head for the exit with both her and Sollux.

"That does not count!" He laughed, "Our lips barely even touched. But, yes, I do like that idea a lot. Who says we cannot be romantic, uh, in a dire time?" Tavros reached up to smooth a couple strands of hair from Gamzee's face, but he noticed Vriska and Eridan approaching them, so he turned some and smiled at them in greeting. The last thing Vriska wanted was for Tavros to think anything was amiss; surely he would panic and worry himself half to death, or try something bold and equally foolish. They needed to be quick and without protest, otherwise someone was sure to be killed. "All this dancing and eating and drinking has me feeling sick," Vriska complained, and Tavros, taking pity on her, offered her some of his water, which she took with practiced fatigue, "As much fun a ball is, I am not cut out for it. What do you think, Alice? Tea and a good night's rest?"
"Ah, absolutely," He agreed, a small laugh leaving him, "This is the first, uh, formal event I have ever gone to, but I am not sure how highbloods do it! I feel tired already and I have barely done anything."
"Definitely," She agreed, following the ever-concerned Sollux out towards the line of stairs they had initially come in through. The guards looked at them closely, questioning, "Leaving so soon, Chief Architect?"
"Afraid so," Sollux gestured to Kanaya, who was still in good spirits from her conversations with high bloods, "My moirail has had one too many, it seems, and it would be best if I take her home, especially if both I and Karkat must keep an eye on her. I feel a smidgen unbalanced myself."
"Nothing some dancing cannot cure," The second guard encouraged, "Miss Maryam, you will just sweat it out."
"No, no, it would be simpler to go off," He assured, smiling some, "I do have work in the morning, after all, and Kanaya has plenty of projects that I am sure she is just itching to get her hands on. Please tell the Queen that it was a spectacular ball for the Winter Solstice." And with that, he continued on, making a point to take Kanaya's hand when she seemed to lean too far to one side, and as they moved from earshot, Kanaya muttered, "Wonderful, I am a drunkard in the Queen's court."

Eridan made polite conversation with the other at the table. "What about you, Gamzee? Tired as dear Alice? I know we've been dancing quite a while, and talking. Vriska is quite popular with the highbloods, it seems."
"Oh, I suppose so. Might be good to leave and stop bothering folk anyways, or one of them, at least." Truth be told he was more than happy to leave and be able to actually relax again.
"Excellent, shall we adjourn, then?" Eridan straightened and rearranged some of his garments, holding out his hand to Hatter. "Come and lean on me a little if you're not feeling well, dear." It was easy to play along with Vriska's quick thinking.
As he stood, Gamzee offered his hand politely to Tavros to help him up, ready to offer his arm or just keep holding hands as they walked if that's what his matesprit desired.
"I would need to be a drunkard to be part of the queen's court," Karkat muttered back with a smile. "I didn't see those four leave, should we wait for them somewhere out of the way?" He was concerned about their other party members and what could happen to all of them. The two purples killed could leave Vriska and Tavros alone and vulnerable.

Vriska took his hand and laid her head against his shoulder, stating, "Where would I be without your assistance, Marchie?"
Tavros stood up, yawning genuinely and reaching a bit blindly for Gamzee's hand, "What a long night. I just want to sleep." He hadn't noticed the extent to his exhaustion until they had started making their way towards the stairs again. The first guard stood straight once more, questioning, "Departing already?"
"The night is still young," The other coaxed, "Surely you lot are not tired so soon."
"But we are," Tavros insisted, not at all knowing what the plan was in the slightest, "We need rest."
The first guard spoke, "Were you aware that your friends departed as well?"
"They wouldn't do anything too foolish with the likes of Vriska around," Sollux mused, "Tavros may not be able to do much on his own, but she's a menace, especially now that she knows what tricks they have up their sleeves. But if you're worried, we can stop somewhere, but we'll have to be inconspicuous; it would look weird if the guards saw us when I live so close by." Sollux slowed to a stop by one of the many apartment buildings, Kanaya leaning heavily against him, just in case others were watching.

Gamzee for his part looked surprised at the guard's information, though said nothing.
The seadweller was a little more vocal. "Oh? How lucky, they'll be at home by the time we get there. We'll have to try not to wake them if they've turned in already," he bowed as much as he could while helping Vriska. "Thank you for telling us!" he smiled kindly appearing genuinely thankful as he moved them along politely.
"I suppose we needn't linger for my paranoia," Karkat mumbled, keeping them proceeding forward after making sure to look like he was checking Kanaya to make sure she was alright and that the pair didn't need his immediate assistance. When they were in the lobby he remained close as so he could 'help' if needed, not knowing how far the pretense needed to go in case they royals had people on the inside of everything near the castle and court.

Vriska moved along with him, dissuading any further attempts to stop them with a groan of "I think I may vomit."
Tavros looked concerned, and he tilted his head back to peer up at Gamzee, "Do you think everything is okay? I did not, uh, hear anything about them leaving..." In his mind, Kanaya, Karkat, and Sollux must have fled for some reason or another due to urgency, but he would have never guessed something as serious as an attempt at the pair of purples' lives.
Sollux wasn't going to feel safe until he was inside his actual apartment, and he lingered some in the lobby before finally just taking the elevator with Kanaya and Karkat in tow. "This is fucking ridiculous." He muttered, "You won't believe how I figured this all out."
"Did you have some type of tip off?" Kanaya questioned, adopting a mildly joking tone, "Someone slinging a weapon around, I presume."

"Oh dear, well we must get you back quickly, mustn't we?" Eridan said in a tone of utmost concern while they were still within hearing distance of the guards, leading them quickly back to the apartment building with Vriska.
It was quite mysterious. "Maybe one of them didn't feel well, either..." Gamzee wasn't all that sure. Everyone was acting quite odd... certainly motherly Kanaya would have at least checked up with all of them before heading out. He figured something was up but kept up a calm face. He wondered if it had something to do with the Rabbit's warning about Tavros's life on the balcony.
"Oh please, he obviously used his mysterious ways of aloof standoffishness to get information. Or maybe you overheard something?" Karkat joked at first but really was curious as to how he'd garnered such information in a usable amount of time.

"More or less," Sollux nodded some, unlocking his door and stepping into his apartment with obvious tension leaving him, "I'll wait until everyone's here to give the details, maybe see if there's more to what I heard or not." Kanaya shed her coat and hung it on the rack by the door, giving a nod as Sollux began to start up the fire, "I guess we have a couple odd minutes until the gang is all here," Kanaya stretched her arms over her head, disappearing into Sollux's room to change into something casual.
The walk back to the apartment was not eventful in the slightest, and once they all arrived, Vriska let out a sigh of relief, "Outstanding work, everyone. None of us have been slashed to bits."
Tavros furrowed his brows as he took off his shoes, noticing that Vriska looked much less sick than she had advertised. Kanaya had started passing tea cups around, ushering everyone to sit by the fire and relax. The copper finally questioned, "What is going on?"

Karkat did much the same, getting into pajamas quickly before heading into the kitchen to help the jade with making hot beverages. He sat near Sollux, leaving the yellow's immediate side open for Kanaya. When the other four got back he breathed a sighed heavily and slouched as the immediate tension left him.
The darker purple shed coat and shoes and settled with the heated beverage next to Tavros, keeping close, his suspicions of something funny going on confirmed with apparently only himself and Tavros let out of the picture.
Eridan shut and locked the door behind the four of them, letting Vriska go to stand on her own. He took his coat off and unbuttoned the vest, loosening his tie as well before settling with his cup of tea. "Apparently there were assassins to be sent after Gamzee and I... Sollux knows the most, I believe?" he glanced at the architect curiously, wondering how he'd come across the information.

"Since you all do not know much about the way the palace is set up, allow me to explain," He leaned back some in his seat beside Kanaya, partly laying against her as he sipped his tea, "That wide hallway where the restrooms were placed is generally the last area in which people can go during balls and parties and whatnot. However, during normal hours, the hallway extends past the little barrier shown and leads to a foyer or a lobby or some kind that has two pairs of stairs that lead into various council rooms and the like. I did not go into one of the rooms but I stood just outside one and eavesdropped; I saw a man around twenty minutes prior with an elaborate tattoo on his hand. I don't know how familiar you all are with magic, but it was definitely of weaponry. I had been keeping an eye on him, as the entire party itself was suspicious. I kept withering why Kanaya, Karkat and I were largely left alone, but upon listening, I came to the realization that we were not the targets."
He took in a sharp breath, asking with fear, "Targets? The White Rabbit had said, that I would die if I stayed out on, uh, the balcony for too long with the princess..."
Kanaya questioned, "That was way before Eridan and Vriska took out and Gamzee, right?"
"Yes, it was quite some time before."
"Perhaps Tavros was the first target? Or there are two separate assassin teams with their own agendas. Whatever the case may be," Sollux continued, "I overheard two men speaking. They said they were going to kill the purples, but couldn't do it outright. You see, there were people in the party specifically to upset Eridan and Gamzee so that the 'basis of aggression' law could come into play. If either of them looked aggressive, it is legal to murder them without so much as trying to detain them. I suspect that the Queen would want this to change Tavros's mind about stopping the Queendom. If he saw how apparently savage both his friend and matesprit were, he would be more open to the Queen's influence."
Vriska was seething. "Those goddamn reds! Ugh! Wait until I get my hands around the Queen's neck...!"
Tavros was having a hard time taking in all this information, and he held his chin, pacing a bit. "What do you think we should do now? I, uh, told the princess I would meet her in the courtyard for tea tomorrow; in was hoping I could sway her to our side."
"Absolutely not," Vriska opposed, "It's too dangerous."

"If you do go, you'll have to take someone with you," Eridan said. "If someone's after you as well... I wonder if that pair suddenly changed there mind or if they were honestly curious about the both of us. Because they mentioned that 'basis of aggression' and recommended we stay out of sight because it's really up to whoever is making the judgment. The second one was definitely trying to get my krill, though. And he was wearing more official garb." He paused and looked at vodka with a smile. "They should have tried getting you mad. Might have worked out better for them."
Gamzee had been deep in thought. "If you do take somebody it should be me, Tavbro..."
"That's insane! Give them two targets to hit, are you kidding?" Karkat near shouted.
"No, it'll make them think that we didn't pick up on their plans. And I'm used to keeping my cool--I haven't survived this long for no reason. They brought all that shit down on my head along with a lot of other crap. As if I was gonna do shit after seeing the last execution before that law went up. And the princess was pretty chill, didn't seem to mind at all."
"But you can't protect Tavros without either being aggressive or taking a hit that might kill you!" Eridan expressed with some distress.
"It might look funny if anyone else goes! And anyone else would still potentially get killed. I'm tough, I might be able to survive.... what's your intuition tell you about it, Tav? Rabbit said you had that even stronger than the last Alice."

Vriska just gave a little growl as a response, obviously infuriated. Tavros tried calming her with a gentle patting to her shoulder, urging her to relax some as he sipped his tea. He remembered how he had gone to see the Jabberwocky up close to speak with it, how he had asked Gamzee to trust him; he had to do the same now. His matesprit made a good point - he couldn't allow them to think that they knew what was going on. It would be better to be cautious but outwardly oblivious. He couldn't take Karkat or Eridan, that was out of the question; taking just Vriska along with himself and Gamzee would seem strange, too, as would Kanaya or Sollux. He pursed his lips, staying silent for a couple minutes in quiet thinking before he came to an answer, "Only Gamzee and I will go, then."
Vriska pinched the bridge of her nose, "This is a death wish, truly."
"Not at all," Tavros shook his head, "I do not think they will try anything outlandish if the princess is nearby. Especially in a public place such as that, she is bound to have, uh, security everywhere. It will be too troublesome, not to mention dangerous, to try to off someone right in front of her face, especially with how little she knows; it would have been simple the night before, where the assassin could mix in with the remainder of the people, but the courtyard is spread out and the killer would be easily identified."
Kanaya frowned a bit in worry, "Just be on your guard. You are never safe unless you are in the apartment; someone could very well try something while you move to and from places."

The purple blood nodded, keeping any triumph he felt to himself. "Yea, I know," Gamzee reassured Kanaya. "We can try to stay where there're people on ways to and fro, might help some."
"If either of you get hurt I will be furious," Karkat scowled. "So come back in one piece or you'll be facing serious mutant fury." It was an empty threat and only verbally covered how worried he was. Gamzee just grinned at him in response.
"Well, while you're both out risking your lives, what should the rest of us be up to?" Eridan's emotions weren't clear to him right now; there were too many of them.
"Uh, we need to look through legislature some how...I think..." Gamzee looked up at his matesprit for confirmation.

"Oh!" Tavros nodded in confirmation, "Yes, the White Rabbit said something about a comb and legislature and paint..."
Vriska scowled, "What on Wonderland are you saying?"
"Ummm. He said... 'Pick through legislature with a fine toothed comb, lest you don your paint and slander your lover.' Whatever that means."
Kanaya offered a suggestion, "Perhaps go through the legislature over and over, otherwise things will go back to normal. That being Gamzee wearing his paint and you, as a copper, having to think lowly of him for the disparity in castes." She sipped her tea, "Just a thought."
Sollux nodded, "I think she may be right. We can go through what I have access to. Government workers can check out things from the Archives. I'll take what I can and we'll pour over the information here."

"Great, we all have a game plan. Unless we've got other things to talk about I'd like to get some sleep. I don't know about the rest of you but that was exhausting." Now that he was actually seated Karkat felt much more tired, nearly snoozing where he sat.
Eridan was satisfied with the task presented and with the thought of sleep. "What do you think, Hattie, ready for bed?" He finished his tea and washed and dried his cup before putting it away, stretching pout his back some on his return journey to Vriska's side.
Smiling up at Tavros, Gamzee waited for his matesprit to adjourn their meeting. He knew Tavros was tired, too, and they'd need to be well rested for tomorrow.

Tavros nodded, pulling on Gamzee's hand to lead him into the guest bedroom where they were staying, "I think sleep for all is the best, course of action."
Once everyone was settled, or asleep, as Vriska had fallen asleep almost immediately after showing off all the things she had stolen, Tavros laid on his back in the bed. He was dressed in just another one of Gamzee's sweaters, as he was comfortable enough with his matesprit to forego complete decency in private, and he stared up at the ceiling. He was exhausted, but it was like he couldn't sleep. The thought of people intentionally seeking to anger Gamzee or Eridan just to kill them was, naturally, upsetting. His browning eyes glanced over at his matesprit, trying not to be so concerned so he could appreciate what time they had together that was idle, "Are you sure you want to go with me, tomorrow?"
