Reading over the note, he trotted into the dining room and handed the note off to Vriska to read, then set to work on a second. He asked if they could meet for a quick tea time so that she could get the bracelet off Sollux and allow him some freedom. Tavros finished the note swiftly, tying it back up with the ribbon and placing it in the patiently waiting coobeast's mouth. He held the bird in his hands, letting the animal flutter off as he shut the window, "Ah, that is such good news."

"Oh, that's perfect," Eridan said, reading over Vriska's shoulder, "better tell him to get packed, too."

Karkat had finished whatever he was up to and came out of the kitchen. The only things he actually had were his new clothes, other wise there was just the paper work, which was already neatly organized. He sat down, reading the note and thanking the cosmos.

Kanaya put some of the extra dishes away that were left on the table, glad to have some positive news after reading the note. Sollux wouldn't be hindered by the bracelet, and they could try their luck with Rial. She hadn't any issues with that thought - she completely believed in Tavros's intuition at this point, and she was sure that things would turn out alright with Rial. She scampered off to his bedroom, phrasing the good news in a way that would not give too much information as she gestured to her own wrist, "Sollux, honey, we have unlocked the puzzle."

"I wonder what Rial is like," Tavros hummed, "Oh, this is so exciting! Do any of you know what its land is like? If it iforested or urbanized or anything? I do hope it is close to, uh, a body of water..."

Eridan shook his head. "Didn't really travel anywhere above land besides for the Screechlands."

Karkat sipped at his tea. "If it's anything like how the land in that area used to be, there are some estuaries in the area, a little more swampy along the ocean, salinated soils around there. But the inner lands are more fertile away from the salt, since all the fish tend to decay and return a lot of nutrients, so there were a number of trees in both areas of differing types. I don't know if it's changed over the sweeps, or where exactly they set up the city. It might be in a different sort of area.

Gamzee returned, satisfied with what he'd packed, and settled next to Tavros.

He nodded, wondering how he would like an area like that, "I see! Hopefully, it will be a nice to place to settle for a little bit," Tavros knew that they certainly needed some peace of mind, especially now. "I just think it will be nice for you to be around others of your own hue," He spoke to Gamzee, grinning at him, "What do you think, 'Zee?"

"It'll certainly be another new experience..." he smiles though, also kind of excited to see another purple. "Maybe there'll be somebody who knew my lusus, huh?" He didn't have much hope for that, since she hadn't been, but who knew?

"I think it will be an experience for all of us. I'll be able to go outside more, maybe," Karkat mused. "Actually take a decent walk, even if it is cold."

"I'm sure you will be able to do so much more," Tavros assured with a bright smile, "But, uh. I think you will find that what they wish for us to do there is right up your alley. We are supposed to talk to the local government. As in, preparing a formal speech detailing our, mission, of sorts. I think you, out of the two of us, are much more inclined to speaking in front of others like that," He rubbed at the back of his neck, "I will have to speak some, probably, but I think you have the aptitude for it, Karkat."

"Hmm, I do love to rant on occasion," he smiled. "That should be fun. And most useful! I'll have to start coming up with ideas so I can write a good speech, huh?" Karkat was much more interested now. Besides for the freedoms, he got to tell them what they were all about? On purpose? It was perfect. "I suppose we should pack up food."

The pigeon tapped at the window a little later.

Tavros stood, calling over his shoulder, "Sounds good! I think we will try to head out in the next couple of days, maybe? Tomorrow? What do you all think?" He opened the window, smiling at the pigeon and taking the note from the bird, sitting at the table this time around to look over the note. He had felt so uncertain and worried before, but now he felt some ease on his heart. Things were starting to look up for once.

The princess said that was fine, but that they should do it as late as possible so there was no time to realize before they left. If they did it now, the camera and sound recording would shut off, too, and the officials would be clued in. She could probably try and slip away any time to meet them.

"As soon as possible is probably best; get as much distance between ourselves and this place as possible," the seadweller suggested.

He shuffled through the newspaper after a couple moments, finding the train times and figuring out that there was a train to Rial leaving tomorrow at eight. Tavros figured that he'd have to meet with Aradia around six. He wrote down his estimates and questions, wondering if that was plausible; if they met at seven, she'd have quite some time to work to get Sollux's bracelet off, which he figured would be finished around seven-thirty, perhaps, and they'd still have a half hour to get to the train. It would be cutting it close, but it was the only option. He sent off his suggestions with the pigeons, shuffling a hand through his hair.

The others finished up breakfast and what little dishes there were left. Eridan proceeded to the respiteblock he'd been using, packing up quickly and making sure things he needed were readily available. Gamzee looked a little down as he packed things up and organized, but tried to be cheerful when talked to. He was a little upset but it couldn't be helped.

The pigeon arrived back, the message stating that would work and that she would be able to meet them at the apartment instead. She would simply come disguised so no one recognized her. Then they could get going all the sooner.

He looked to Gamzee, finding that they were mostly alone now since Vriska went off to pack her things, as well. His brows furrowed, his hand coming up to take hold of Gamzee's, "Whatever is the matter? You look distraught, darling..."

"Oh, I wouldn't go so far as to say distraught...just a little sad is all. I was really lookin' forward to helpin' out some with that project of Sollux's for the kids, but can't really do that now since the fuckin parliament is all fuckin scared of us and bullshit. Motherfuckers ain't got no fuckin rights to be so fuckin useless to everybody but there own selves." He was frowning a bit furiously, pouting as he hugged Tavros.

"Don't worry, love! You can still assist," He assured, running his fingers through his hair comfortingly, leaning up to kiss away his frown, "Who says you cannot sell to the Rialans, yeah? Don't you think they would be, uh, more than excited to help us? You could probably even find a host building, like a bakery or cafe or something, for you to sell from. There are always options, 'Zee, it is just a matter of finding them."

"Yea, there is that... but I don't get to all up and extortion highbloods with killer prices no one else could pay!" he pouted, then smiled again, obviously joking. "It'll be much nicer to sell in Rial I think. I'm kind of really excited... it'll be really cool to be able to be open about stuff, and not worry about going out. Maybe we could have another date or something if there's time." Bending a little he kissed Tavros, back to his cheerful self with those comforting prospects.

We really have not much to worry about if it is not underhanded," Tavros smiled, kissing his cheek, then his lips, then the tip of his nose, "The local government there is paying for our housing. The address to the hotel is in the invitation."

Giggling at all the kisses, the purple smiled happily and hugged him tight. "That's wicked nice of them! Can't even believe after all this time there's such a hospitable place. Though maybe it's about time for that, huh? We'll have to be careful not to let our guards down with such kindnesses given to us all."

"Yeah," He nodded grimly, "Just in case they are not all they are cracked up to be. I do not want any of us to be hurt just because we were a tad on the careless side." Though, if it really was just from Rial or even Zodiac, Tavros would be relieved. If it turned out to be some kind of elaborate ruse hosted by HUED or the government, he may panic to a point that even he was unsure he would recover from.

Gamzee squeezed him a little tighter before letting go, kissing Tavros's nose after he pulled a little away. "And hey, if we get there and everything is cool, I can make that cake finally. It'll be a celebration for escaping and a little something to look forward to."

"I'm just a worrywart," He dismissed, hoping it would quell the dreadful feeling he got in the pit of his stomach, like he was going to panic. Tavros could differentiate it from the trip to Rial; when he discussed it, it did not cause any ill sensations. It was when he thought about what would happen /after/ the trip that worried him. "..Can I tell you something kind of serious? Just between you and I?"

Gamzee looked a little concerned and nodded, "of course, Tav, whatever you need. Want me to keep it a secret or something?" He sat in a nearby chair, tugging Tavros along gently to sit with him. "Come and relax a little and we can have our little chat, huh?" It was times when Tavros looked so concerned that Gamzee just wanted to pull him into his arms and comfort him until he felt better. Of course the situation was a little different when that stress really wouldn't go away until certain events took place.

He slipped his petite body beside Gamzee, nodding slowly as he fiddled with his fingers. Tavros had considered keeping this just to himself, but that would not only be unfair to do, but it would make them wholly unprepared when something /did/ happen after the Rial trip. He knew that the others would have to know very soon, but he did not want to spoil the trip before they even got there with his worry. He murmured as softly as he could, "Just keep it amongst us until I can find a good time to tell everyone. So, um...When I think about this trip to Rial, I do not feel any pressing terror or worry. It is when I think about afterwards, when we return to Starnette, because we will, at some point, that I become horribly concerned. It is this cold, scraping feeling in my stomach, almost like I am going to vomit. I have never experienced anything like that, and, uh. I know that if it is terrifying for me, it will be frightening for the others and I do not want to put them through, something like that. I want to wait until I have, maybe, a bit of an idea as to what else this feeling pertains to."

The purple thinks about this for a while, holding Tavros close to him and kissing his temple absently. "And you're sure we have to come back?" he asks, "right after Rial? Maybe we have to go somewhere else before we return?" Gamzee was only half hopeful for that, and rubbed Tavros's back comfortingly. "Well, I'm sure whatever it is, we can find out a little more before we return... and at least have a better plan as to what else we're gonna do once we do, right? The Zodiac's down there, so even if it is the Rial government summoning us all, we can probably get in contact with them through Pyrope." Gamzee was sure that they could at least figure out a little. And Tavros's feeling about the matter might change once they knew more. "... I won't tell anyone. I think it's good to wait until you're ready."

Tavros had thought that they would have to return to Starnette immediately after the Rialan business was over, but he also had once thought that once they got to Starnette, everything would start to fix itself, so he was not opposed to different thoughts. It, at least, was better than his own hypothesis and had more favorable results. "Okay," He agreed, starting to look more relaxed already, "Thank you. I am just...trying to do my best not to panic about anything. I do not want to lose control like that, if I can help it."
