"You are so sweet," He hummed, lifting a hand to play with Gamzee's hair absently, "I know what we can do. We can take, uh, a relaxing bath together, yeah?" Tavros remembered a short time ago when just seeing Gamzee shirtless embarrassed him, but he loved his matesprit dearly and felt utterly comfortable with him. With everything they had already been through, and all the hardships that were surely going to follow, he figured some embarrassment over their bodies was much lower on their lists of worries. "How about it? You want to?"

The familiarity didn't keep a light shade of lilac from Gamzee's cheeks, but he nodded. It was mostly on his own part, wondering what Tavros would think of him. "Yea, a bath sounds super nice." He couldn't keep the rumble in his chest down at the hair playing; he didn't know why but he loved when the copper blood played with his curls. "Cake and a bath, huh? Pretty fantastic plan there, Tav. Gonna get all super happy and relaxed, and sleep super well after, I bet. All toasty warm and cuddly," he purred, smiling, nuzzling, and absently kissing at his matesprit's hair and face.

He smiled widely at the purr, returning it with a soft one of his own. He could hear the movements of the others in the main room, Sollux moving into his own room. It seemed everyone was winding down for the night, which meant less of a chance of anyone interrupting them when they took their bath. Truly, he was glad to get in some time with Gamzee, seriously doubting that they would be so comfortable around each other if they hadn't been given any place to have some privacy. "Your blush is awfully cute, 'Zee."

The purple blood giggled a bit, and the flush in his cheeks only darkened. "Naw, I'm not cute! This fucker right here is cute," Gamzee stated affectionately, tickling at Tavros's ribs a little. "Can't be beatin' you for adorableness." Indeed, the other two out in the main rooms were settling in for the night, too, and a little later it was quiet through the apartment. "Hmm, all motherfuckin silent out there, now. You wanna sneak out for our date or stay here a little while just to make sure everyone's catchin some good zee's?"

Hiding his tickle-induced laughs against Gamzee's neck, he insisted that Gamzee was equally, if not more, adorable, but quieted some when he listened for any more sounds. The apartment was quiet aside from the pair of lovebirds, and Tavros nodded, moving somewhat reluctantly from his comfortable cuddle atop his matesprit to stand up, "Let's have our date. Cake or bath first?"

"Hmm, well I'd be darin' and say both at the same time, but that might get our snack a bit damp," he smiled. "Maybe cake first? So then we won't be pinin' after dessert while we're all cuddly in the water." Swinging his legs to the side, he stood up softly on his feet, hardly making a sound as he led them toward the door to open it quietly. He held it open for Tavros politely, then followed him out toward the kitchen.

He thanked him for his politeness as always, taking heed not to step too heavily anyplace. Tavros tiptoed out into the kitchen, both that room and the dining area spotless from Sollux and Karkat's mind-numbing chores. He took out two plates and forks as delicately as possible, humming a bit to himself as he did so, wondering aloud, "Does it snow much in Tulgey?"

Gamzee took out the cake, carefully cutting them a couple slices quietly. It ended up being the rest of it, as the others had helped themselves earlier while they were in the guest block. He was quite proud that it was gone, and thoroughly enjoyed by his friends. "Not so much as here. Some places it comes down a little more, but around the house it does for a couple perigees or so depending on the weather, but then calms down again. Tends to be pretty temperate, I suppose. It's real pretty when it does, on the trees."

"I bet Wocky would love the snow if he hasn't seen it before," He murmured thoughtfully, taking a bite of cake and feeling his lips upturn in happiness. He continued, once he chewed and swallowed, "Where I lived in Alternia, it snowed a lot. It snowed so much once, when I was little, that I could barely open the door to my hive." The memories were bittersweet, and he kind of wished he could have gone back to Alternia for a bit, if only so he could gather up some of his prized possessions. "I love Wonderland and all, but there are still, uh, things in Alternia that I wish I still had..."

"Hmm..." Gamzee thought about this. "It can snow pretty deep, but the trees keep it off most times.... except for on the Fields. They always get thick with the stuff. As for your Alternia things, maybe after all this is done the Rabbit might be able to help you get some of them? If he can travel all over, maybe he can get 'em for you. Though he's kind of a funny sort, can't figure him out none." Gamzee munched on his own cake while he thought.

The White Rabbit seemed to put his own agenda first, whatever that happened to be. It was a little bothersome how he tended to float from one place to another, and while his position was an esteemed one, he, himself, was not exactly someone people felt comfortable around. Tavros wondered what being the only human in Starnette was like; he figured there were a couple more interspersed throughout Wonderland in its entirety, but the only human with a high title and in a gaudy city full of highbloods was probably exhausting at times. "I guess I am not exactly the, uh, materialistic type, but there are a couple items I miss a lot. A necklace given to me by my guardian, his reading glasses, this stuffed bull toy..."

He understood the nostalgia value. There had been a few things he'd kept after growing up and his lusus' death just because they were precious. "Hopefully you can get them back somehow..." Not wanting Tavros to get bogged down in the mood, he stepped closer and bumped his hip lightly, putting a bite of cake in front of his mouth. "Have more cake, sweet Tavros. Or I might try bein' poetical again to cheer you up," he grinned, lopsided and goofy.

"But being sad sometimes is a good thing," He protested, opening his mouth to take the bite anyway as he chewed, doing the same for his matesprit as he swallowed and spoke again, "It makes me appreciate all my happy moments much more. Like now," Tavros kissed his shoulder, wondering how his injury was doing. "Every moment I am around you, I am grateful for it."

Nodding, he ate his bite of cake with a smile. "I suppose that's true," he said after swallowing. "Couldn't be happy all the time, wouldn't make much sense... but, I feel like, uh," he took on an old fashioned sort of tone, "It is my solemn duty to make you as happy as possible at times such as this... well, not solemn, that's kinda the opposite of the point, isn't it? Since I like makin' you smile any old ways," he said, a little bashful.

Tavros' ears flicked upwards at the shift in tone, finding it so professional but also somewhat detached. His brows furrowed some, then he giggled, shaking his head in disbelief, "Thank you, darling, that is very thoughtful. I am starting to think that you are, uh, taking this 'knight' role quite seriously," He teased lightly, standing on his toes to kiss his lips. "I will do my best to make you smile, as well."

Gamzee snickerd at that, "I try my best to be a good knight for my dear Tavros," setting his plate and fork down lightly as he talked, he took the copperblood's hand and bowed to place a small kiss on the back of it. Straightening up, he had to cover his mouth from the giggles escaping them to keep quiet. "And you can always make me smile." He ate a couple more of the last bites of cake, offering another to Tavros sweetly.

He ate the last bites of cake, both of Gamzee's and his own, then purred in satisfaction and rubbed his cheek against his shoulder affectionately. "That was yummy," Tavros complimented, linking his arms around Gamzee's waist in a warm hug, "I cannot wait to taste the next confection you create. With chocolate, no less!" He beamed up at him, seeming much like his normal, happy self, "You really do have a natural talent for it. Very different from me."

Shrugging, he placed a kiss to Tavros's nose again. "I got the cookin thing, you've got other magics. All your animals? And you get along with everyone real easy like. Differences are good, we fit each other then. And you ain't bad at cookin, those biscuits were pretty grand!" Smiling, he put their dishes to the side to clean later. "And I got a super plan for that next one, hope it turns out the way I want..." he was thinking deeply about it as he hugged back, then moved them out of the kitchen. "Ready to get your relax on?" he whispered.

Tavros smiled, murmuring an affirmative as he made his way into the bathroom. The last time he had been in there with Gamzee, he had suffered scraping, debilitating panic, and it was nice to have a completely different emotion resting in his heart at that moment. " 'Zee, what is one thing you have always wanted to do, in your whole entire life, but never got a chance to?" In the bathroom, he had started unbuttoning his dress, but paused briefly for his matesprit's answer.

That was quite the question. At first he had no idea, evidenced by his blank expression as he unbuttoned his shirt. "Hmm, that's a right stickler... I guess I've done a lot of them already... baking, cookin' for lots of people, uh, only thing else really I can think of easy is walk down the street unhassled, and did that in Undlegire... of course, being all romantic with you probably counts... um, I don't think none of that's what maybe you meant, though." His face scrunched up in thought and question. "What about you?"

His smile only grew as he turned the water on, having had a dream since he was little that he had wished to complete. "There is a place in old folklore back in Alternia called Marmoreal. It is, supposedly, based on a real location that is absolutely gorgeous. All the castles in Alternia, were, uh, based on this place, but it is actually a grand palace, not just a castle. It is situated in a forested area very near to the ocean, and it is said that, if one kisses their matesprit, on the balcony overlooking this lovely waterfall, then their bond will last a lifetime." It could have just been all make-believe, and he certainly didn't think such a place existed in Alternia, but now that he was in Wonderland, his views changed some. "My lusus told me the story about Marmoreal, about the White Queen and The Chessboard, and I had always wanted to visit such a place, even if it turned out to be, uh, just ruins or something now." Tavros shed his dress once all the buttons were undone and the water was up to an appropriate height, his body slipping into the warm bathwater with ease as he continued briefly, "I even had dreams, as a wriggler, about living in a palace like Marmoreal with my matesprit and, sharing a moment or two every day on that balcony."

The sweet story had Gamzee smiling, and got into the water smoothly next to Tavros after removing the rest of his clothing. "It sounds like a fine place, darlin', maybe we'll have to go find some place that could be like that, huh? I know there's supposed to be some massive forest on the other side of a couple mountains near the coast, where the trees grow huge because of how the wind and water work together with the mountains blockin the way... Ah! That's a place I always wanted to visit, see how giant these trees really were. But it's a long ways away. Maybe we could go with Wocky... he was all excited about Tulgey, I bet he'd love seein' an even bigger forest. 'Specially if we could find your palace in it! That'd be some kinda miraculous, eh?" He slipped his arms around Tavros loosely, pressing a small kiss to his matesprit's lips before relaxing fully in the tub.

"That would be the best thing ever," Tavros could see it all in his mind's eye, and he wondered if Marmoreal even existed someplace. Even if it didn't, if he could find somewhere that was much like it, he'd love to go see it. "One of the things I always wanted to do was travel, and I got to do a lot of that with, this whole journey. Perhaps after we get Wonderland in a stable state, we, uh, can take a vacation of sorts. Just you and I, if you would like, or the entire group, whatever you want. We can visit those humongous trees, maybe even make it a camping trip! Oh, Wocky would probably adore it. I wonder how he is doing..." The brownblood sank some more in the water, taking his usual position of curling up a bit against Gamzee's side. Surprisingly, being naked did not make him feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, and he did not hold much curiosity about what Gamzee's nude form looked like. If he caught glimpses in the water, he did not blush heavily or try to cover his gaze, but he regarded the usually-covered sections of his body the same way he did an arm or something that was usually unconcealed.

It was very nice to be so close with Tavros, and all he really remarked was that he really was quite small. Sometimes he forgot with his frilly dresses. He was glad Tavros also wasn't paying attention much, so he wouldn't see the little scars everywhere. They were light, so one really had to be looking to see them, but they weren't exactly uncommon. He'd removed the stitching on his shoulder just that morning, so there wasn't much of a reminder there, either, besides for the healing over skin. "A vacation might be nice... I think who goes really all depends on them. Though I might like some alone time with you just to distance from this whole stressed out time when we can. Then we can all meet back up and have a good time just chillin out." An idea suddenly popped in Gamzee's thinkpan, and he couldn't resist the urge to act upon it. "Would you like a massage? All this warm's gotta have you relaxed enough to really help in detensifyin, yea?"

"A massage?" He was only hesitant because he was not sure exactly where he was supposed to go. Would he sit in Gamzee's lap, between his legs? Tavros supposed that was the only logical place to go, unless the other sat cross legged or something, but he figured he should ask lest he make a mistake, "Um. Alright, sure. Where should I go? What would be, uh, easiest for you?"
