"Hmm, well, that can be dinner! Soup and biscuits. Sound's pretty appetizing, Tav. I'm interested to taste your Alternian cooking," Gamzee smiled. He wasn't all that familiar with biscuits, but was sure if Tavros liked them they would be good. He thought he'd seen a recipe in is book for something similar and it would be fun to learn some cooking that Tavros knew. He kept nuzzling and pecking at Tavros's cheeks randomly just for something pleasant to do. The kisses lingered a little since he was tired, but maintained their gentleness.
"It's just one of Vriska's favorite places, secluded, so they don't get found. Can't really blame them with things the way they are. Though they've been there an awfully long time now, I'd guess," Eridan shrugged. He didn't want to give much more in the way of explanation in case it would bother them or Vriska. He thought she was protective of the place.

"I do not think it is much different here than it is in Alternia," He murmured, enjoying the kisses that he returned softly, "Then again, I tended to make the same things over and over again with slight variation, and I have never tasted most of what you have ever fixed. Anyways," With a tender purr, Tavros kissed the corner of his mouth, beginning to look solemn, "Can I ask you something? Something kind of serious?"
"I just want to keep them hidden," Vriska stated simply, flexing the fingers of her formerly cramped hand experimentally, "They're a kind people, but it would ease their tensions if less people knew about them. They're just peaceful tea makers, but I do not want their way of doing things to be compromised for any reason."

Ah, that look was worrying. Gamzee settled some and looked just as seriously at Tavros, running his hand along his shoulder in what he hoped would be a comforting gesture. "Of course, love, what's up?" He hoped it wasn't anything too serious or guilt inducing. It was hard to see his normally chipper Tav so down.
Eridan nodded, agreeing completely. "I couldn't imagine what would happen if some of these awful people we've bumped into heard about them. Probably want to take over somehow, and completely ruin things."
The cherry blood scoffed, "they've done it before so why not again? They're good at ruining people's ways of life for their own benefit."

He furrowed his brows, "Can you, maybe, make a conscious effort to be angry? And I do not mean in that dumb sexual way I was, uh, alluding to back at the hotel, I mean legitimate anger." Tavros propped himself up on one elbow, peering down at him with determination, "I understand the current situation and why it would be detrimental to all we have accomplished, thus far. But holding in negative feelings like that is not healthy. At least here, with everyone else, it is a controlled environment, and everyone here supports you fully and only wants the best for you. It does not have to be some, uh, rage filled yelling fest, but exploring anger and what upsets you, I think, is healthy. Please try to open up," He bent down to smooth his hair back and kiss his temple, "If not with me, then with Eridan or Kanaya or even Karkat. I think you would feel a little liberated, afterwards.
Kanaya nodded curtly, "Isn't that the truth."
"They'd probably work them to the bone," She growled, flopping into her back onto the floor, "Forcing them to grow tea not out of their spirituality and goodness of their blood pushers but for money's sake. How did we manage to get run by oinkbeasts?"

"Tav..." he looked at him quizzically, actually a little weirded out. No one had ever wanted him to /be/ angry before and he wasn't all that sure he could do it without feeling terrible about it. "I don't know if I motherfuckin' can." He supposed some explaining was in order. "I don't bottle 'em or nothin, just let it all go. Can't be holdin' on to the negative vibes and whatnot. Just had to get used to it." It was easy not to get angry here. Even though he'd been shot, it could have been worse. Everything could have been worse than it was, in Gamzee's mind, and though it wasn't healthy to think that about everything, it got him through the difficult times. "I guess, I'm upset 'cause that fucker coulda hit you. And cause I can't hold your hand or anything without getting nasty words and looks thrown about... and I wish they'd just all mind their own business and let me mind mine in peace," he tried, really getting more upset than angry. Gamzee was frowning and avoiding direct eye contact, ears droopy and brows furrowed. If he thought about much more he might be liable to get seriously upset.
"Power corrupts," Karkat stated. "That's why what we set up needs to be a group who will all take care to balance each other for the good of all. It's optimistic but it would be the ideal. It can't be a solitary leader, or even a pair, I think, just to prevent this kind of thing."

Listening carefully, Tavros sat up fully, legs stretched out in front of him as he fiddled with the hem of his sweater. He did not want to get Gamzee upset so much as angry, just so he could release some tension he had thought he was forcing down. Despite it being revealed that Gamzee was simply letting the feelings go, that did not seem entirely healthy, either. "I am glad that you are able to release those negative emotions," He murmured, "But it is also good to explore them. That is all." He bent down and kissed his cheek, feeling as though the person he had to be in public and the person he was with Tavros were becoming intertwined too closely. "I am sorry, if you feel that this is not right for you then, uh, you do not have to. I just thought it may be good for you."
Vriska wasn't so sure the same thing wouldn't happen to a group. She supposed she was so accustomed to people in power become corrupt assholes that trusting even hypothetical rulers with a higher probability of success seemed difficult. "I suppose. What do you propose the new government be like, at length?"
"An interesting vein of discussion," Kanaya mused, looking to Karkat expectedly, "You say a group but a group constituting who?" A twelve member group from each color may be troublesome, but perhaps a three person group, low, mid, and high? The possibilities were endless now that it was revealed that the Queendom would be dismantled.

He maneuvered himself carefully so his head was in Tavros’s lap. “Maybe I just don’t know how you mean,” Gamzee muttered, looking up at his matesprit. “Never just...been mad before. Not allowed to in public no way no how, and then at home in Tulgey what was the point? Didn’t see no reason to just sit around miserable so just let that shit go and got on with whatever.” He calmed down as he talked, face relaxed to a neutral, if slightly down, expression. “Guess I got mad as a kid, ‘cause I couldn’t do normal shit, but then the way of the world descended, and what could I do? Had more freedom as a little motherfucker, ‘cause nobody could tell. And officers don’t care that much when you’re a shitty kid taggin along with your lusus and being a grouch.”
He paused and sighed, never having talked about this stuff before really but Tavros seemed to concerned not to explain circumstances. “But when I got older lusus was already so old and I needed to learn to keep my cool. Had to practice at home too. Old motherfucker couldn’t pass on in peace with me not knowin how to control myself--or they’d see me in whatever afterlife there might be too soon. Only got worse when the purple started to show; had to stay calm then or could be culled no problem. Didn’t keep ‘em from tryin’ to get an excuse to, but guess they never did. Even when I growled at that lady a little. Scared the shit out of me doin that but it made me mad the way she was touchin you and wouldn’t fuckin listen to you when you said stop.” He did look grouchy at that last point, at least.
Karkat had been thinking deeply of how to answer Vriska’s question but was completely derailed by Kanaya’s commentary. He looked over at her with an astonished look, vaguely proud and amused. “Did you just make a rainbowdrinker pun?” There was a smile trying to break out of his face but the shock of realisation held it imprisoned for now.

He threaded his fingers through his hair lovingly, encouraging his recounts. It was different to go through the sadness of his past problems and experiences; Tavros hoped that Gamzee could become familiar with anger and irritation and anything of that angle. He nodded, responding, "And I am so glad that you defended me because I know now that you can get in touch with those feelings. Gamzee, I do not want to, um. Make you upset or anything, and it is relieving to know that you have the capacity in which to let go of anger, I just want you to be able to be familiar with it now, too. It is almost like the person you project out in public and the person you are with me are becoming very meshed together..." Tavros removed his hand, moving so that he faced Gamzee fully, a weak smile on his face, "Do you want to talk about something happy now? I do not know much about, uh, your lusus."
The blueblood hadn't caught on to the pun, and Kanaya hadn't been expecting anyone to, but when Karkat mentioned it, she glanced up with a toothy smile. "Why, of course! What point is there to being unique if you cannot make a joke of it every once in a while?"

"Heh, I don't think I do either, they passed when I was between four and five sweeps." The hair petting had been very nice and Gamzee was a little sad to have it stop. He didn't really like the idea of being angry, but he supposed Tavros only wanted him to express some freedom around the lot of them and not be as distant or intimidated in private and with friends. "I remember they loved the trees, and all the things that grow. And animals though not in the communing way, just the watchin' 'em do stuff; even bugs sometimes. And books, and food, and cuddlin'," he smiled, remembering a few memories of being very small and fitting in the adult troll's lap in front of the fire, having his hair brushed out or being read to. "And sweaters. Motherfucker always wore a sweater even when it was hotter'n hell out."
The cherry blooded mutant laughed. "It was a pretty good one. Uh, let's see, government..." He got back on the tracks. "Well, there need to be representatives of each solidified section of society. I think a separate sea dweller because they've got different needs with the oceans and everything, and not just counting them as 'low' bloods. I'm not all that sure about the rest of how it should be separated... probably high, mid, and low tones, but I'm worried that may ostracize the current 'problem' castes which will need to be an ousted term, as it's ridiculous. But anyway..." he realized he was going on a tangent. "So we've got our group of however many representatives, maybe four, and a mediator of some sort decided on by the group... an outsider of sorts if possible, who would make sure things are fair and everyone gets along... this is all just postulation at this point, of course, there may be better ways to do this. Until everything is integrated better that's how it would need to be to see to everyone's needs, I think." He could have gone on, but stopped lest he rant ad nausium about possible governmental systems.

He could definitely see all the similarities, and he wondered idly if Gamzee was truly interested in those things or if he did them partly out of memory of his lusus. "They sound sound lovely. They certainly raised you splendidly in the time that they had you," Tavros could remember his guardian easily, but he was not sure he could speak about his death without falling into tears. "My guardian was very sweet, very comforting, which was helpful because I was always crying about something. I cried constantly, whether it was because, uh, I was not allowed to go to school or because I had fallen down and hurt myself, or any reason, really. I remember, when I was quite young, perhaps four sweeps, I had gotten upset because one of the other children in the poor side of the village had called me a wriggler for crying so much." He smiled sadly, "Unsurprisingly, I cried about it! But my lusus just held my cheeks and wiped my tears away and said, 'Tavvy, darling, feelings are a beautiful thing and you should never be ashamed of them.' "
Vriska muttered under her breath goodnaturedly, "Oh, get a room already."
The rainbowdrinker was, truthfully, a bit tired of Sollux's jabs at some inkling of attraction between herself and Karkat, and was only slightly annoyed at Vriska, who she knew was doing it out of good fun and not like Sollux, who had the real intention to annoy her. "I think your plan is as good as any," She shrugged, "Whatever happens, I would sincerely prefer increased awareness and better information regarding us 'Problem Castes.' We are generally seen as monsters and the like, which could not be farther from the truth."

He did enjoy nature though not to the extent of his lusus, who could have stared for hours at groups of animals or just the landscapes sometimes if there weren’t things to do. He did honestly love cooking and reading, though, and cuddling was always welcome. They had started him off on this track, though, loving stories he was told and learning, and then being commended on his cooking even when he was very young helped him gain such an avid interest. Gamzee smiled at Tavros's account. "Seems they did a helluva good job with you, too," he returned the compliment with a grin. He only personally remembered crying on one or two occasions, not very often, perhaps more seldom than most.
Karkat had no idea who he was supposed to be getting a room with; his own rant? That was mostly what he'd been talking about. That was ridiculous, though, and so he figured she must have been referring to Kanaya. Which seemed honestly strange to him, as she was the second person to insinuate such. He didn't think he was doing much more than being friendly. He'd bring it up with her later, he decided.
"Maybe there should be a separate rep for just those together? Or will each need to have a separate sub representative and then report as a whole? I don't know how connected each of the groups are... seadwellers will have their own group anyway, but then there's still purple and jade... any others?"

His smile shifted to that of gratitude, and he leaned down to kiss the tip of his nose before laying on his back again, as if exhausted from the account of his lusus. Tavros was kind of glad that his lusus had passed away already; if he had gone on to Wonderland now, who knows how differently it would have played out. Tavros may not have wished to stay with Gamzee, or he may not have gone to Wonderland at all! "I just sort of wish he could have taught me how not to sleep-commune," It was starting to become rarer than it had before, but he attributed that more towards stress than anything else. When Tavros fell asleep nowadays, it was out of complete exhaustion, and he couldn't relax the way he wished to. "Ah, well. I am sure you like waking up to all the animals," He laughed some and stroked his hair, "If you were, uh, a guardian, what do you think you would be like?"
"Oh, all of that would be unnecessary," She shook her head, "There are really only three castes that get branded that, the seadwellers as a whole, violets, and jades, though the last is more on the basis of rainbowdrinking, which is foolish because not all jades are rainbowdrinkers, but I digress." Kanaya could have gone on a rant herself about what could qualify as a problem caste, but she refrained, doubting that anyone wanted to hear her drone on, "By the definition Parliament made initially, yellowbloods would fall underneath that category, regardless of the fact that not all yellowbloods have issues with their psiionics, or have psiionics at all. Limes and Cherries are problems, as well, but that is just on the foundation that they are, according to the government, unnatural. That is really all it is," She rolled her eyes, irritated, "These castes go against nature, apparently. Any type of extraordinary mental capacity, major difference in color, or just simple anomaly can be considered a problem caste. Even communers, but since they are, for the majority, brownbloods, they are exempt. Highbloods can skirt around the rules plenty."

“I dunno, waking up to all your animals was kind of freaky that first day,” Gamzee laughed. “Hmm, if I were a motherfuckin lusus troll... I think I’d probably just be me,” he said simply. “Probably not swear if I can help it. Probably pretty chilled out for the most part, definitely a little over protective,” after everything he’d been through he’d definitely be protective. No children of his were going through all that if he could help it. “I think I’d like playin together, runnin around in the woods and teachin ‘em stuff. What about you, Tav?” He was content to stay where he was on Tavros’s lap, quite happy with him playing with his hair and purred deeply to show his appreciation.
“Well, that’s good I suppose. One less person to coordinate... So I gather that we are technically all problems by what was initially set down? That’s just fantastic! I love our group of rebel problems!” Karkat was actually grinning, satisfied with how this group of seven were all undesirables in one way or another. He was taking into account Vriska’s magic and Tavros’s communing as well as the slight psiionic ability that Sollux had displayed at the ball. “Who ever set that law in order?!”

He smiled widely, considering his own parental angle. Tavros would be much like Kanaya, he assumed, "I think I would be quite nurturing and understanding. The hypothetical kids would, uh, have a potential for communing, so I would definitely mentor them in that capacity." Tavros tapped his chin in thought, head tilted just so, "I imagine I would be fussy, and, mildly meddlesome, but for good reasons. I would encourage their emotional and mental growth plenty."
Kanaya shrugged, "Parliament, of course. But once it was revealed how all encompassing the laws were, they created some loopholes. High bloods are exempt, so, in spite of the possibility of a dangerous yellowblood or brownblood with ill intentions, the laws are swayed in their favor." At the expense of others with inclinations towards magics or a mutation, all of which they couldn't control but were still shunned by. "I just find it so devastating that I am constantly judged over drinking blood. It is not like I can control it, I need blood to survive and a couple surly looks will not push me for otherwise."

He hummed in contentment. It was easy to visualize Tavros fussing over some little wriggler. He chuckled a little at the image. "I can see that. Papa Tav swoopin in to save the day. Gotta get you a cape with all the hero stuff you do." He maneuvered a hand to hold Tavros's, lacing their fingers together loosely as he kissed his knuckles. Gamzee stayed silent for a while, thinking about the last part of what Tavros had said. "Am I too distant?" he asked, wondering if that was part of why he'd been asked to open up, and worried about it.
"It really is all complete bullshit. And pretty much for all of us. Sure we're sitting in this room planning to overthrow a government but hey! What's so bad about that?" Karkat shrugged. He didn't think his joke was all that funny, but what could he say to that.
"Well, I may deserve /some/ of my reputation," Eridan muttered from where he was next to Vriska on the floor. "I do enjoy crashing a ship or two with my fellows. Though they are always trespassing," he shrugged.

The question made him shift uncomfortably and grip his hand a little tighter. Tavros had never thought he was particularly distant, but he did get the feeling that Gamzee wasn't exactly open, either. "Um. Perhaps not distant," He decided, "But I do not think you, tell me everything. Which is okay!" Tavros assured, hoping his desires for the relationship were not unreasonable, "I do not expect that, or anything, I guess. I don't know. Sometimes I feel as though you are frightened of my possible reaction."
She nodded, a lilt of pride in her voice, "Part of the deviancy attributed to us 'problems' has been earned," Vriska added, agreeing completely with Eridan. "I steal and occasionally get into fights, but I do not kill like my ancestor. There is some crashing involved, more on his part than mine, but it is always with good reason. The government is against us, so we have essentially created our own."
2014-09-05 02:31:05 -

That was certainly reassuring, at least partially. "I just don't want you to feel all sorry for me and shit," Gamzee admitted. "I know it's bad here, but I just can't get down about it on my own behalf. I know I ain't done nothin' wrong, but others never seemed to care, and it wasn't much use to complain anyway." Boy was he talkative right now, he was kind of surprising himself with how much he was responding. "Uh, that might sound funny, I don't really know how to phrase it. But I like how you treat me like I'm not a problem, like a normal person? And I don't wanna upset that with anything."
"So, Kanaya and Gamzee are the only ones who don't deserve their reputations. Though you do still drink blood, you just don't kill people for it. But I don't get why people are still so upset. There's this traditional sort of dish in that book Gamzee lent me that's just oinkbeast blood fried up in sausage form with some spices. So if some normal people do that then are they just weird too?"
"You're ranting, Vantas."
"....yea, that's possible."

"I would never treat you like a problem," He shook his head, almost offended that Gamzee even had the thought. Tavros looked down at him, trying to figure out his thought processes before saying softly, "I cannot /not/ feel sorry for you. I do not know if, uh, love is different here? But in Alternia, love and flushed feelings are based on pity, and I have felt pity for you for a long while," Tavros furrowed his brows, "Does that...does that make my love insincere to you?"
"A rant with good points," Kanaya agreed, "I believe they just fear us and slapped on laws of all kinds to keep is tucked away. The whole 'we will get you before you get us' mentality." That was the only way she could explain it, "I certainly have never killed anyone for blood."
Vriska looked intrigued, "Killed anyone for any other reason?"

"No! No that's not what I meant at all; fuck I knew that was all weird with words and shit... uh, lemme think how to explain...." Gamzee's face scrunched together in thought. "I meant problem like the 'problem castes'...and I know you'd never treat me that way, I wasn't trying to insinuate you would. Just, like, you've always treated me like a person, not like some dangerous thing, and I don't want you to feel /too/ sorry for me... like the wrong sort of pity, you know? Like, instead of thinkin I'm a monster, you think the opposite or some shit, the other /extreme/, instead of just like a regular troll like how you /do/ treat me which I love..." Gamzee desperately hoped that would make things clearer. His voice was a little stressed out in his need to explain. "The flushed thing is still the same sorta, and that's fine, obviously I like that. But not the other sort of thing...it's not flushed pity it's something else!" Gamzee scrubbed at his face in agitation, not feeling like he was explaining himself sufficiently. "I'm sorry, does that make any fuckin sense? At all?"
"Vriska! You can't just ask people if they've killed people," Eridan said with fake exasperation. He looked over curiously too, though, intrigued but doubting it was the case unless it was in self defense.

Tavros simply stared at him for a long while, uncertain as to what it was Gamzee was getting at. He had a vague idea as to what his matesprit was trying to day, but he was still under the impression that his love just wasn't good enough. But where did that leave him then? Tavros hadn't any other idea as to how to love him without pity intertwined, and while that may not have been the problem, the issue that he felt was that he was not understanding his lover. "Uh. I guess so..." He muttered, "Like, you do not want me to pity you in a condescending manner? Is that what you mean?"
She smiled slimly, "Vriska, dear, you may be more eager to do so, but I, personally, do not wish to dirty my hands with that line of work," Kanaya looked over her nails, crossing her legs elegantly, "When I was, perhaps, eight sweeps or so, I may have hired someone to take someone else out."
Amazed, Vriska leaned in a little, eyes wide in interest, "Did it work? You had a paid assassin?"
"Oh, yes, it was successful," She nodded curtly, "The situation called for it. The policetrolls certainly were not going to help! I took the matter and fixed it myself. The mafia and underground gangs are wonderful institutions; vigilante justice is quick and simple."

"YES!" Gamzee sat up suddenly, grinning at Tavros and moving to lay down beside him again, face to face. He stayed on his elbows for a little while above Tavros, grinning and cupping the copper blood's cheeks. Kissing his forehead down to the end of his nose and finishing with a quick peck to both his mouth and chin, he sat up a minute to look Tavros in the eye. "You're so brilliant. That's exactly the word I needed." He paused, seeing his love's expression, so added, "...and you haven't done that, so don't worry. My dearest darling Tavros!" Gamzee was overcome with glee at being understood, and quickly kissed both of his matesprit's cheeks as well.
Karkat could not help but chuckle. "I don't suppose you still know some individuals we might get in contact with if we need assistance with our revolution here abouts?" His tone was joking but when he thought about it, that might actually be useful, if not the best way to start a new government.
"Wow, Kanaya, way to take care of business!" Eridan grinned. "I don't think any of us will mess with you any time soon," there was a twinkle of jest in his eye. As if anyone of them were capable of doing anything mean to the jade blood in the first place.

The sudden confirmation made his eyes widen some, but it lightened Tavros's heart to know that he and Gamzee were on the same page when it came to how the purple felt. He smiled gently, humming happily at the delivered kisses as he stretched out on his back, "I am relieved! I was afraid that I would never understand you," Tavros couldn't quite relate to that, but he could understand it. The high bloods of Alternia were harsh and did not care who witnessed their verbal onslaughts and physical brutality. There was no condescension in the act of sneering much but more like matters taken into their own hands. "But...I am still concerned. Are my, uh, current feelings enough for you? Are they not deep enough, too based upon pity...?"
There were plenty of individuals in the underground world that Kanaya could probably get back into contact with; their more public friends and acquaintances were customers at her store. "I am sure I could find someone. The lower level trolls are frequent customers. I do not know the extent to which the group runs in terms of blood color, but it is well worth looking into."
Vriska shook her head in disbelief, "Did you explicitly tell them to kill that someone?"
"No, no, that would be foolish," She may have been new to the process at the time, but she was not an idiot, "I simply approached someone I knew delved into that lifestyle and I detailed that a certain woman would not leave me alone and had already burned down my first hive. I feared for my life and I wished desperately for safety. I needed for someone to, as they used to say, 'tuck her in at night.' " Kanaya paused momentarily before continuing, "Borina may know more, what with all that traveling under her belt."

Gamzee shook his head with a smile. "I haven't noticed that. I think you're fine, Tav, I was just explainin' why maybe I'm not as open or whatever." Slowly he gave Tavros a few more kisses around his face, simultaneously thinking about his words. "You don't gotta try none to go all deep and stuff. It'll come in time, right? I am /more/ than content with how we are." He lowered himself down so he was on his side again, cuddling close to the copperblood. "You make me so happy, Tavros. If I was a good poet, I might try writin' you somethin'. But I'm just a cook, so, instead I'll bake you dessert," he giggled, kissing the corner of his mouth.
The mutant troll was surprisingly quiet for a moment, but that soon ended. "What and asshole! Burned down your fucking hive?! And we're the dangerous ones?!?" He ran his hands through his messy locks angrily. He made himself take some deep breaths to calm down. "Well... I guess they might be useful. Maybe not the best way to start a new system, but we might need all the help we can get when it gets down to it.
At Karkat's raised voice Eridan felt the need to pap him, but resisted the urge, confused at his own feelings. To help himself forget about the thought, he spoke up. "You've already got a pirate and a boat crasher on deck..." he paused and glanced at Vriska, with mischief on his face, "as well as all of us being either 'problem castes' or magic bearing. What's a couple more undesirables added into the mix?" he asked, shrugging.

"You might be a good poet," He seemed interested, wondering what it would be like should Gamzee write him a poem. It would certainly be romantic, and he smiled bashfully, "Perhaps we should try a couple lines?" He covered his face as he blushed, giggling as he peeked through his fingers, "Oh, Gamzee, being with you is always such a new, refreshing experience. Our relationship is still, uh, quite young, but I do hope that we can continue to feel this way for the remainder of our days." Tavros purred, removing his hands to shyly nuzzle his nose against his neck, "I love you so much."
"If anything, it will just make things more interesting. Though," The blueblood smiled, leaning against Eridan as she looked over the bracelet she wore that matched his, "We may want to find a new base of operations. More people would make things much more cramped."
Kanaya grinned, flashing her sharp teeth as she did so, the elongated canines dangerous but never having been used with ill intent, "That would make things easier, though I do think that we should have a plan B location, just in case."
"Where? In Undlegire, your store?"
"Possibly. Or maybe even a place within Starnette, if we can find one."

The purple blood purred at the nuzzling; the sensation was quite pleasant so he pressed a little closer. "Hmm, I hope so too, love. ...lemme think on this poetry shit a minute..." He spent a while thinking, and decided just to go for it and see where it went as it flowed. The problem was starting. It was kind of hard coming up with good rhymes, and by no means was it very professional or of any specific type, but it was off the cuff, and the best he could do with no preparation or time to really think hard about it. "Uh, well....
---'In the woods is where we first met,
and where by that bird we both were beset.
Along to my home in Tulgey we went,
and found out from another world you were sent.
And after a little time for a meal,
we started your journey where my heart you did steal.
But there was no real theft by all bets,
for I'd've given it and had no regrets.
Still I have none and never shall have,
for you are my dearest darling, my Tav.'"---
Okay, it was a little embarrassing, especially all the stupid rhymes. He was blushing terribly by the end but smiling happily at the same time and giggling. He hoped Tavros at least got some enjoyment from the ridiculous thing. Honestly Gamzee thought he needed to stick to cakes now and leave the poetry to bards.
"Could we ask Borina? She seemed nice, and you were pretty friendly from my estimation. Since she's been living here a while she might know somewhere we could find to meet," Karkat proposed. He didn't want to trouble the other troll, but she seemed to know quite a lot.
