She rolled her eyes as she listened to the woman explain it, "I got it the first time you said it, jeez!" she snapped right back at her before smacking the back of her head, "And don't disrespect Aradia, she spent a great deal of yesterday in the arena getting the rust off of her skills." she scolded before stepping into the smithy, smiling and beginning her negotiations with the blacksmith, who placed a piece wrapped in cloth onto the table, gesturing to the Kitsune.
"That girl there is a genius, bringing in the angels, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one that gave me the idea behind this scabbard either! Thing's one of the best pieces I made and with all dos meteorites comin' in, I got plent o' metal to work with, so the charge for your armour and weapons is free, this one though... I wanna have a talk to da little one." the blacksmith stated, a slight underbite showing, and greyish green skin making it clear that this woman was a half-orc, something VERY rare indeed, that being a half breed of a human and a monster, rather than just a monster full blood.

She hopped down from Feferi with ease, fan opening, "And how can the kitsune queen help my humble friend?" She grinned with glee, someone who respected her for what she was! Finally! She waved her fan before looking at the forge, she pondered for a moment, "Could use an upgrade there... Feferi, there's a little dragon girl back on the Southern continent playing bandit. Think we could round her up and back here as a new furnace for our friend here? Dragon fire doesn't need any fuel. She's also there with a quick little goblin, a young lamia, and the piece de resistance? A young vampire, all very powerful potentially."

She rolled her eyes as she listened, "We'd need to provide them with pay... And from the sounds of it, I take it that this is a relative of Vriska's? Trouble making Lamia... And Lamias are typically reserved for the high end monsters so I'd have to assume, and it's not my call, it's the blacksmith's." she explained, "The goblin would be useful, it would allow us contact with the rest of them, and the other's are obviously useful due to their species." She pointed out before turning to look at the blacksmith with a smile.
The woman gave a nod before kneeling down and picking up Roxanne, placing her on the counter with a strangely aesthetically pleasing grin, "Thanks, Ma'am, and thanks to ye', Queen, I've been looking to get an upgrade, but there's only so much I can do with me tools, and the Orcs be known for their smithin' prowess." she explained before offering a hand to the queen, "The name's Latula, been smithin' since my Momma let me hold a hamma', do' she ain't an orc or a 'uman, just a dragon." she explained, Perhaps some relation to the dragon in the south? "Pyropes the family name, do."
2015-03-08 06:00:42 -
🌀
She nods hearing her out, "You share a name with an old friend of mine, be proud." She patted Latula's shoulder with a grin, "I believe she was the original dragon, then again could be mixing her up with the original mimic, but she's probably got a title by now..." She chuckled, "And you, lucky girl seem to be of her lineage. ... And the mimic's oddly, same family name no relatio-... God damn it the mimic gave herself a human body didn'y she?" She sighed rubbing her temples, "Damned shapeshifters, always have to get tricky don't they?" She shakes her head shrugging. "What can you do? Feferi and I will be heading out to gather elementals, if I find any mineral deposits I'll have my foxes bring them, expect deliveries."

The orc gave a nod before tilting her head to the side, "... I don' quite follow, me mom's not me mom but is at the same time and I have another mom?" The orc didn't follow, and neither did the human, who looked at the queen with a raised eyebrow, "An' I did ask that you stay for a day, I wanna know of any possible techniques the ages have left you, little fox." she explained, trying to adjust her accent, to get rid of the rough and gruff words that came with staying with humans so long, and having an underbite didn't help either it seemed.
"She is right, Roxanne, she did ask to speak with you, she does have the right after giving me a way to transport the angel slayer." she explained, taking the wrapped up bundle before unraveling it, smiling as she saw how it was done, a scabbard made for the back, with a beautiful image to it, upon it, one of angels praying in front of a blade, the star metal white, while gilded with gold, and while it was sheathed, the blade's handle had the eyes closed and was gold too. "Roxanne, did you speak to the blacksmith? As I have no seen this craftsmanship from her before... That being magic, mistress smith." she explained, pulling the sword out slowly before gasping as the hilt changed and turned black, the eyes opened as the seal was broken.
2015-03-08 06:14:35 -
🌀
She looked over, "Not at all Feferi, probably the work of Aradia or Damara, Aradia told you what her mom does for 'heroes'? She can do the same, no one would know except her though." She sighed, folding her legs as she sat Indian style on the counter, "But you being an orc, even if you're half there means..." She trails off grinning before tapping her fan to Latula's head energy flowing through it, time to wake up the latent potential of Earth within her, "Feel the Earth drawing into you, don't deny it now, let it fill you. Let it empower you, let it lend you its strength and might. Each blow of the hammer a testament to the might of the Earth, each weapon a gleaming example of its bounty. Feel the Wild Lands and rejoice! For as long as your feet are on this planet you're not alone."
2015-03-08 06:21:24 -
●
The blacksmith blinked several times before picking up the hammer and tapping it lightly to the girl's head, "Yer the one that didn't answer my question, ya dolt of a queen, my question was about me moms." she pointed out before pausing a moment and heading into the back, coming out with star metal, some gold and what looked like platinum, setting them down on the bench before looking at the small queen, picking up a tap measure and wrapping it around the queen's head, writing down the lengths before starting to scribble out on a piece of paper a beautiful crown with several gems inlaid onto it, placing the quill down with a huff before pointing to the sketch, "You answer my question, I make you dat, we square?"
2015-03-08 06:27:26 -
🌀
She groaned, "The answer is you're a direct descendant to two of the six original monsters, the first dragon and the first mimic. Short version is yes you are related to that dragon distantly but were probably found and cared for." She slows her breathing, "The long answer is she's not your mother directly, you're related to her and all dragons and mimics and somewhere along the way, one of your ancestors produced a male human that then went on to mate itn an orc that resulted in you. Also you're welcome, as for what? Close your eyes for a second and tense up." She grinned, if the girl did so? She'd begin to feel the power and resolute nature of the earth well up in her body, her skin tougher than armor, her muscles more taut than before as the force of the Earth flowed through her.
2015-03-08 06:33:36 -
●
The Orc sadly, wasn't too spiritual, so she didn't expect much before her eyes snapped open as she felt the power flow through her, looking at her muscles before tensing them... Only for her eyes to go wide in shock as she shattered the handle of her hammer, her jaw practically dropping before looking at the kitsune. "... I take it dat's just da beginning, Little Queen?" she asked, clearly shocked, leaving Feferi giggling to herself as the orc went into the back of the shop, picking out another hammer and a chisel, moving to the meteor and resuming her tapping away, "I know what I'm doing with the base of this one den... The previous one's that fell, da one you b'oke, Ma'am Fefe'i, it lacked i's core, co's you shattered it, were too rough... So I need to be careful with these next few, slow and careful to get to the base, where the strongest, but most brittle bits reside... I get dos, I can make myself a legendary hammer to make these items for you ladies..." She revealed, Feferi gave a nod before turning to Roxanne.
"Shall I leave you here with Miss Latula? She will no doubt approve of any help you can provide."
2015-03-08 06:39:12 -
🌀
Roxanne herself sighed, waving Feferi off as she took a moment to tap at the meteor, her ear against it as she hrmed, she marked it with a tail grabbing a chisel, she pressed it where her tail once was and pounded it open cracking it clean in half to expose the core, "I take it this makes things easier then?" She giggles, "One thing you learn over time with Earth is how to find sweet spots, places ready to give in with enough pressure, even the planet has them! You get used to it, there's just a slight tone difference where the layers are overlapping, ready to burst." She sat back down waiting for the orc to get to work on her hammer, "The core is safe because the exterior acts as a sort of platemail for it, it can be jostled by blows yes, but if you can get just one clean split in it, it doesn't have the time to form cracks." She pauses, "Don't try it on the planet, it'll crack and push apart killing everyone."
2015-03-08 06:46:40 -
●
"I doubt I could git the power to, Little Queen." she informed, grunting as she took the core in hand, placing her foot on the meteorite and kicking off, pulling the piece clean from within, giving a nod of satisfaction while she placed it onto the bench, taking her chisel and hammer before preparing the slam it down as Feferi left, leaving the two to bond, smiling to herself at the image of the union, tiny kitsune demigoddess and a half orc demigoddess? It was cute, that was for sure, but she had no doubt that Roxanne was going to be ACHING from it later.
Heading out to the fields once more, Feferi took up her fighting stance, the blade slung over her back as she took in deep breaths before moving a hand to take hold of it's hilt, feeling it, trying to get used to its length before she brought the fluidity of the water and the flow of the wind to her arm, allowing her to draw the blade, giving to slashes in front of her, only to open her eyes and smirk as she saw a cone effect in front of her, far beyond the reach of the blade, leaving the smell of freshly cut grass in the air.

Roxanne continued to watch, "Careful check for sweetspots on that too, we don't want it cracking from accidentally hitting one!" She warned, "But yes, while we're out I'll make sure Feferi stops in the Southern continent, no elementals there but she ought to see the kind of indoctrination god subjects her people to." She hops back on the counter, kicking her legs out like a child might. "Give her an idea of the world around her to. You have to have noticed it yourself, she's far too naive as a ruler. She made a place for everyone, and it's noble yes, but she really needs to get out and see who might come knocking on her door for conquest. Size them up, get allies from within to help sabotage any plans against her. She has two spy networks but she hasn't even asked about any goings-on." She sighs shaking her head, "I know you adore her but even you have to admit her worldview is woefully narrow as it stands. Hopefully our field trip around the world can fix that. Might even take her to a few of the tartarus gates!" She giggled, the tartarus gates had cropped up after the town that coexistence had been achieved in fell deep dark unexplained holes leading to dungeons. "We have a year to train then two years respite minimum before God can make a move."

Latula shook her head as she heard the explanation from the small queen. "She ain't naive, little queen, just worried, careful, trusting of her people to do what they think is right and then inform her of situations she should know about." she explained, "She hasn't asked you, because she feels that you haven't felt a need to tell her about anything that's going on, she's trusting you to be her advisor, to advise her of what's going on in the world, as she trusts Porrim to do, as she trusts your kin to do if a problem with their money comes up." she explained with a smile, "Her key trait is trust in her family... And you're part of that now, and she knows better than most that Family stick together when the going gets tough, and as long as you prove she can trust you, she will." she explained before striking the spot she placed her chisel at with a smirk, looking at the very core of the core, gesturing to it for the kitsune, lifting it up and showing it, "See, the middle, it supports it all, it has so much pressure on it, but around it, there is the inner circle, the group that supports it and lowers the stress on the middle." she explained before setting it down on the bench again, patting the Kitsune's head, "You are her inner circle... Don't underestimate her, she will make her choices when you offer them to her."

She sighed leaning back, "That's the problem. She needs to take initiative as a leader. Trust is great and all, but a leader needs to utilize their spy network at their leisure not the other way around!" She sighed lightly, "This isn't how a leader should act when they get new abilities and lifespan. She's going to be around a long time, probably longer than VIII over in the town! She can be trusting and all but she needs to learn how to utilize what she has too. Just because I've heard nothing doesn't mean there is nothing, foxes are harder to sneak into cities and harpies are kill on sight down South. I had to seal myself FURTHER to get into Aradia's town I had to ditch my ears and tails!" She hmphs, hugging her tails close, damn racist human Southerners.

She gave a shrug at that, "I know what theyre like down der... Had my fair share of run ins before I was able teh git a boat o'er here." she explained, pulling up her fur singlet to gesture to a scar that ran from her left side to her right at her waist, "Nasty bastards thought it was funny too." she muttered before taking the first half of the core, carrying it over to the kiln and placing it within a small bucket-like piece to melt it down before she cleaned it of impurities. "You need to teach 'er... She be too worried o' being like 'er mother."
2015-03-08 07:44:36 -

She sighed, "Hoping to avoid that responsibility, hopefully seeing other governmental structures will teach her. Going to make sure she stops in every major city and village to get a feel for them, not the people but the rulers, she ought to see the places she'll get reports about." She sighs, "Dreading Succubus Village though, the Purple Sabbath is coming up. Any girl there with the potential bathed in the purple light? Gets turned into a succubus themselves." She sighed laying back, "Which is why male adventurers flock there to 'save' the girls with 'no ulterior motives whatsoever'." She shook her head disgusted, honestly no shame among the lot of them, "Might take her to the Monster Lord castle to offer haven to the occupants, in three years? You can bet that'll be the first place god hits." She looked over the furnace it was going to take a while, but the humans needed weapons, even if she didn't. "So any minerals I should keep an eye out for? Remote village has to have some shortages." She looked over the scar whistling, "Want me to burn a house or two? Give me the names and I'm sure I can keep Feferi occupied long enough to slip away for an hour." Foxes really were tricky girls weren't they? "No wounds on me but..." She pulled her robe off, showing off the intricate tattoos down her arms to her tiny tits, "Monster Lord's Honor Guard. Four of us total, back when VIII was younger the five of us fought to be the new monster lord. She won, so the others follow her now. Me? It's my job to take care of them."

"Little queen, those who caused this are dead, took me as a pitiful pale slave who looked a bit sickly... I showed 'em with a quick tug before throwin' 'eir spines int' da river ne'rby while day watched... One tried ta speak, only a death rattle came out." she explained with a smirk before taking the small bucket with a pair of tongs, pulling it out and placing it on the work bench for a moment as she picked up another one, placing it down before placing another bucket, this one with a mesh at the bottom, on top before pouring the molten mix into it at a slow pace. "The hard, brittle stuff is a perf'ct centa, 'cause it gives the blade or hammer backbone to lean into, somethin' I learned east." she explained before picking up the first bucket again, this time, setting it to the side before taking the mesh bucket, flipping it upside down with the tongs and banging it upside down, only small pieces of dirt falling out. Once more, she picked up the bucket with the new purer mix in it before sliding it into the furnace once more, before moving over to the meteorite once again, this time running a hand over it slowly, "Bu' give the ma'am a break... She's new to a lo' o' dis." she explained, "She'll learn from you." Turning around, the orc smiled before moving closer and ruffling the small blonde's hair with a smile, "Yer mature for one with a young 'ppearance, little Queen... Might fall for ya if yer not careful." she murmured in a quiet, though gravely voice before returning to the meteorite.

She snickered pulling her top back on, "Careful who you call little dear. I've been in this game longer than you've been alive." She chided, "She's new to this yes but the bad part is that she's not going to have a lot of time to work, she's viewed as fair by her people, but fair isn't enough to stop bribes to well placed individuals to start plots for usurpation, to stop people from forging claims." She sighed lightly, "I miss the old way when we settled land disputes by duels. Grew kingdoms through spectator sport, it was pretty funny actually. Ever seen someone realizing how badly they screwed up after they threw the first punch?" She snickered, "That being said kingdoms are already fabricating claims but we can't officially do anything until they declare War." She sighed, "Which I'd have to tell Feferi and wait for her response, without name and stature we have two choices, wait or assassinate."

The orc gave a nod as she picked up a spare hammer and began to tap away gently at the various other points on the meteor, seeking for a piece that bounced and flexed with ease, that being the real base as the orc had an idea, a small test that she'd have to try in her hammer to make sure it worked properly, lest she be wrong about this when she made a sword for this young lady, as she would, to say thanks and to reward her dealing with the young Ma'am. "The young Ma'am won't agree with assassination... But if you make it clear to her that it's required, detailing the reasons why, then she'll agree for her country." she explained with a grunt as she picked up the chisel and took a hit at two pieces of the meteorite, picking them out and placing them on the table with a smirk and a nod.
2015-03-08 13:15:02 -

She sighed, "That's the problem, we're looking at a year before war with an empire run by a tyrant. We have an impressive amount of forces in monsters and angels but that can be dwindled in every skirmish we have to fight, every raid we endure. It's not necessary, but it is the most efficient means of removing the problem, a forged claim is a weak claim. If the king dies after it's forged heirs don't inherit." She opened her fan, "And one thing rulers don't tolerate is those who operate without casus belli." She chuckles, "So the more we kill off, the longer they have to wait for a justifiable war. Unless they have resolute proof that we sent the killer, they don't have a casus belli, which prevents war and casualty." She fanned herself lightly, "Like I said, I've been playing this game a long, LONG time."

She thought about it before sighing as she considered the options that were in front of her, "I don't preten' ta be smart, in fact, I ain't, the only thing I know is forging, and even then, there are those that are my peers that know better, but the thing I do know is that li'l Ma'am does what needs to be done, she just trusts you to help her along the way... Most rulers get taught how to rule as they grow up, but Li'l Ma'am was the second child, she was taught how to get the attention and marry off." She explained, "So you need to teach her now." she explained as she picked out another four buckets from the back room, and another two straining buckets, placing them each into two of the buckets before placing two of the chunks of ore into the buckets, before finaly pushing them into the forge, letting them melt. Turning around though, the orc placed the tongs down before adjusting her gloves... Only to take one off and flick the Kitsune's forehead, "Stop assuming that people can learn quickly, Little Queen." she scolded, adjusting her speech slowly, as if she was trying to sound more... formal in front of the woman, "Li'l Ma'am is young 'n' na've, thing is, she fell into this position, she ain't a natural like 'er sister, nor'd she have a master like I did for forgin', instea', she got you to show her the ropes."
2015-03-08 13:31:11 -
🌀
She sighed taking the flick, "I know she can't learn fast, that's the problem with how things are going. We don't have a lot of time and I have to take her element hunting and ally gathering for the year." She sighed, "Between swordsmanship, diplomacy, and element training, I'm not sure when I can fit in teaching her the ways of a ruler." Her eyes grew irritated, fan opening a frown on her face. "This is going to be a rough year... at least she's already more survivable thanks to Aradia." She ponders, "Well she gets attention well, publicity is a strength, the sooner we establish a name for this barony the better. We'll need to expand of course, perhaps become a fledgeling county." She hrmed, "Feferi has her mother's land by birthright if Meenah's the same Meenah she's related to. Being digested and assimilated into a slime is probably a severe disqualification for inheritance."

The orc gave a nod before going into her home, coming out a few seconds later with a chair which she placed down to the side of the bench to watch the forge without saying anything for a while. "... 'f you're 's good 's dey say, Little Queen, I think you'll pull 't off." she said in a sure tone, smiling to herself as she did so, surprised that she'd been talking this much to a stranger, having been more of one that would simply listen, giving the occasional nod or shake instead of an actual answer, but this girl? she was someting special, but perhaps it was just the common element between them. "'s for da minerals, ''ll git you a list when I've 'ad time to think."

She nodded, taking a moment to watch her, "So then, you trust me already? You know foxes are tricksters right?" She quirked a brow, "I could be lying you know!" She was testing for a reaction, she wasn't lying of course, there was no benefit to her for doing so. She fanned herself again, watching the girl carefully, "So what do you plan to do with that newfound element of yours? Aside from forging I mean. We do have a war coming, do you plan to get involved?" She hrmed, the half orc would be fine among humans but angels? Probably not.

"Why trick a smith? No poin'." She said simply as she watched the forge, not even questioning if the litle queen was in fact trying to trick her, as there was little reason to it all in Latula's logic. "My element? Forgin's the best I do, I ain't much o' a fighter des days." she murmured before shaking her head, "Nah, ''ll forge blades and 'ammers and maces, but I ain' fightin'." she said with rather sure of herself nod.
