He walked slowly, the size of his belly pretty impressive at this point. The pregnancy was going well. "You know how I feel about such language. Besides, you should be responsible and prevent reproducing until you and John are ready."

He got to the door and led Karkat to the omega clinic and signed them both in before sitting down in the waiting room. There were a few alphas and betas sitting next to their partners, but besides that it was pure omegas.

It was another 15 minutes until Kankri was called. Karkat's appointment wasn't for another half hour. "Want to see? They're just doing some ultrasounds."

"Yeah." He stood, holding his belly as he was led to the room. Karkat followed and he couldn't help but feel comfort at having his brother there. The doctor had him dress in a hospital gown behind a curtain(no need to traumatize the brother with nudity after all), and lay down on the examining table. The woman seeing to him rubbed the blue goop he had grown to hate on his rounded tummy and started up the machine.

Kankri was nervous, watching as the blurry form of his child came into view. He smiled as the doctor explained what they were seeing, and let out a gasp of joy when he learned it was a baby girl.

"Feferi. I want to name her Feferi..."

Karkat smiled, though he was curious how they worked out the gender from only a little blob on a greyscale screen. Modern day technology. Pfft. "..I bet she'll be gorgeous. She'll get it from me. I'll be the best uncle."

After a while another nurse came to get Karkat, it was time for his appointment.

Karkat didn't say anything, but waved Kankri off before he went to his appointment, looking somewhat nervous as he didn't have his brother with him. Maybe Kankri would come in at some point.

She led him into a separate room, handing him a hospital gown. "Alright then Mr.Vantas, if you could just change for your exam the doctor will be right with you." She smiled before leaving, giving Karkat some privacy to change.

He blinked, and quickly changed into the gown, clearing his throat as he lurked around the corner, almost afraid. Jesus. Would it hurt? He'd had enough pain for the time being, thanks.

An elder omega came into the room, the doctor no doubt. He was clearly past the age of mating, but smelled mated. No doubt he had given birth at some point. He gave Karkat a warm smile.

"So Mr.Karkat, this your first visit?" Of course it was, it was a rhetoric question. He watched Karkat fidget on the bedding. "Now then, for your exam we'll be examining your insides and seeing just how far you've developed so we can get you on the right kind of suppressants."

He put on a pair of latex gloves and situated himself between Karkat's legs. "Move closer to the edge, this might be a bit uncomfortable but it won't really hurt."

Karkat nodded anyway, listening along with him. He slid down the table, and did as he was told, though he frowned a little as he remembered the mention of suppressants. "I... I don't want to take the suppressants. It was my brother's idea, and he can't talk because /he's/ pregnant. I know he's only looking out for me, but it's just not something I want to do. It's my body, after all."

"Hm..." He spread Karkats legs a bit looking between them before placing them on stirups attached to the table. Gently, he squeezed Karkats small balls. "Well, feels like they've finished changing from testes to ovaries so you are fertile."

The doctors hand moved down to examine a soft spot of flesh further down. "Though the birth cannal isn't done forming yet. Don't worry about the blood when it does though, that's normal."

He reached for a metal device and lathered it with lube and slowly pushes it into Karkats ass. When it was all the way in, he spread it, leaving Karkats entrance gaping wide open. He then took a qtip and rubbed a random wall, taking a small tissue sample. He then cranked the device again and now the top opened up, letting the doctor go in further. He took what looked like a stick with a flared tip and stuck it in. Once it was he removed the metal device and started moving the probe. It took photos which were being displayed on a screen in the same room.

"All the organs are there and in the right spot, and your womb is almost done forming." He pointed to a gap in the organs wall. "Might take another month or so..."

He took a few more photos and pulled the device out and handed Karkat some tissues. "We can talk about your pill opotions or even a shot when you get cleaned up and such." He pulled his gloves off and tossed them.

"I'll be back in 10."

Karkat made a few noises as he was examined, fists clenched. Though he did stare in wonder at the screen. Jesus. The human body was amazing. And horribly painful. So he nodded, and sighed, taking the tissues gratefully to mop himself up. Then, he waited. He wasn't sure what for, but he didn't complain as he watched the doctor leave. Maybe it was the results from that swab. Fuck. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, sitting up and unable to get the uncomfortable feeling out his rear.
