She immediately understood. After all, she had days like that too. She stood up from her chair, but kept a hold on his hand. She led him onto her bed, and pulled the covers over the two of them. "Then stay in bed with me. It might help. We don't even have to talk if you don't want to."

Since Ivory had missed him last time, he went to her after work and took her for a walk under the moon. He held her hand as they passed under streetlights, smiling softly and a bit nervously. He couldn't get what that woman had said out of his head. How many other men did he have to worry about?

When Zane showed up at the shop, she immediately agreed to take a walk with him. Without a second thought. Fingers entwined with his, she kept close to him. Unaware of the thoughts that were in Zane's mind.

He was a bit distracted, and so it took him a second to notice a cat with its collar stuck on a piece of trash sticking out of the drain. It mewed pitifully, but when he instinctively approached it to help, it hissed and his face fell. "....oh. Right."

She noticed the cat right away, then squeezed Zane's hand for reassurance when it hissed at him. "It's okay, I got this." She let go of his and, and moved over to the cat, and slipped the collar off the trash.

It mewed happily and started to claw its way up her pants leg. "Hmm? Oh. The animal thing? It's something I've been able to do very recent, actually."

The cat managed to make its way onto her shoulder in this small amount of time. "Of course." She gently took the cat into her hands, and held it out a bit for him to pet.

He hesitantly reached a hand out, and when it wasn't bitten off, he stroked the cat's head and back. A smile grew on his face as it purred softly.
