After they left the park, they went to the beach. Ah, the ocean. He didn't get to go and actually swim that often. He loved it. The second they reached the empty shore, he pulled off his shirt, shoes, and socks, wading into the high tide.

Ivory, however, was used to the beach by now. However, it was more of enjoying it from afar she was used to. She slipped off her heels, and moved into the water, only making it a few feet in before the water came up to her thighs.

She smiled as she watched him. Ivory was fine here, just admiring the scene. It was nice. This was nice. it was perfect. So perfect.

For a minute or so he just kind of sat on the ocean floor, crosslegged, watching the fish dart past as his hair floated in a snowy halo around his head. Then he crept his way back towards Ivory and jumped up with a shout. He tugged off her coat, tossed it over onto the dry sand, and pulled her in after him.

With a giggled squeal, Zane made her jump in surprise. Before she could react, her jacket was pulled off and thrown to shore, and then she was pulled into the water. With a splash, her body hit the water, clothes and hair immediately becoming dampened. The ends of her hair slightly moved with the current, sprawling out around her.

He pulled her down to sit on the bottom with him and pointed out the fish swimming curiously around them, all different colors.

She smiled as he pointed out each little fish. The moon illuminated the cool ocean around them. Her pale hand eventually found his, her scarred arms contrasting against his as she held it.

He would gladly live down here. Why hadn't any vampire ever thought of that? It'd be easy. They didn't have to breathe, and they certainly didn't need fresh water. He held her tiny fingers gently, and with his other hand picked up a starfish, holding it out.

She reached out and took the starfish with her other hand. Aw, it was cute. She giggled happily.

Little bubbles floated up from her mouth and that made him laugh too, with just one big bubble. The starfish's limbs curled in.

The starfish curled around her hand. Gently, she set it back down and it proceeded to stick to the ocean floor once more. This was amazing. She felt like a mermaid down here.

Once they were above water again, Ivory wiped the remains of her makeup off her face. Sea water and makeup never usually mixed, or any form of water, for that matter.
