The second Ren arrived at home, they curled up in a ball on their chair and called Ivory. The phone rang. They waited.

Zane and Ivory had just made it to the hotel room when her phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out of her pocket and checked the caller ID. Ren was calling her? That wasn't like them. "One second, Zane." She spoke. "I have to take this." She answered the phone and put it up to her ear. "Hello?"

"Ivory? Ivory are you okay? Are you in the car? When will you be back? I miss you already...."

She didn't know. That was even /worse/ than a few weeks. They felt tears prick their eyes, but it didn't show in their voice. "Please...please come back soon. Be safe. If anyone hurts you while you're there, I'm going after you. That includes Zane."

They hung up and hugged the phone to their chest, face pressed against the armrest. Please come back. Without her, they were still so alone. ....at least Phantez was still around. Him and some of his weird friends. They might be a nice distraction.

He sorted out their things while she talked on the phone, and when that was done, he moved towards the bathroom. When she lowered the phone, he paused and said "You should get comfortable, since we do not know how long we will be here. I am going to take a shower." Then he disappeared into the bathroom and closed the door behind him, not bothering to lock it.

She set her phone on the nightstand. "Will do." She sat down on the bed once he left the room, and slipped off her shoes. Next, she leaned back onto the bed, staring at the ceiling for a moment. Things were...a bit hectic. Her thoughts alone were exhausting to deal with. Maybe she should just- she was out like a light.

Fifteen minutes or so later, after he'd stood under the hot, running water, trying to empty his head and wash away the sweat, not to mention figure out how to make the water actually hit his head and not the back of his neck, the door opened releasing a cloud of steam as Zane came out, wearing a gray t-shirt, sweats, and rubbing his hair with a towel. He stopped when he saw Ivory asleep on the bed and smiled to himself. Setting aside the towel, he approached her and crouched by her side, brushing aside her hair to kiss her on the ear. Then he moved his kisses to her cheek, nose, and finally lips, tipping her chin up with his fingers.

"Mmnnn..." She groaned in her sleep, finally waking up as her kissed her. Her eyes fluttered open for a moment before she closed them again, returning the kiss. After a few moments, she pulled away. "Did I fall asleep?" She asked tiredly, still somewhat waking up.
