Oh. Well, typing on one of these wasn't exactly my forte, but I appreciated the gesture. I smiled faintly again, set it and the mug down and reached for the bowl of broth, spooning some into my mouth and sputtering a little. She wasn't kidding about it being spicy.

I took a sip of tea to wash it down. Illegals who babysat her. What? Eating like this, I managed to down the broth fairly quickly, good thing too, because I really was very hungry.

I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted her to now, since it seemed mean to have her cook for me and then kick her out, even if I'd originally protested.
