They squeezed her tighter, then went and curled up on top of her bed.

She moved to the bed, sitting down next to them. "Here, I'll sit with you until you fall asleep."

They reached for her hand. "Thank you, Ivory. I'm glad you're okay."

She took theirs. "And now I'm going to make sure you're okay."

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm...okay. Just tired." They let their hair fall over their face and tucked their other hand under their head, closing their eyes.

They smiled and after a minute, their breathing slowed and they untensed. They didn't let go of her hand, though.

As they fell asleep. She felt an urge. A desire. A need. Something about Ren made her want to be closer, and closer. Just a small bite wouldn't hurt-

She immediately let go of Ren's hand and pushed herself away. The same familiar feeling as the first time came back. At least now she could control it. Until morning at the least. When she could talk to Lance face to face about it. For now though, she sat at the other end of the bed, keeping her distance.

Eventually, their hand tightened, and half-asleep, Ren noticed hers was missing. There was a moment of panic and they blinked blearily at the room. Oh. Why was she over there?
