Good! He was distracted. She could get his face now. She readied her fist and punched him in the nose, hard. Before he could grab her again, she shoved him out of the way and onto the ground before taking off towards home as fast as she could.

He fell to the ground, tears welling up in his eyes from the pain. Goddammit. Now she knew his name. And he was /still/ starving.
Congratulations, nerd, she actually took your advice, now would you COME OUT ALREADY???
Kinsley had been there when Madison got out. Seemingly, all he had done was yell at his other, though said other had also mentioned something about him being abnormally sympathetic. He wasn't sure which of those two had triggered it for him, but he certainly hadn't meant to /hit/ Ferrell. He woke up on a nearby fire escape and sat up with a groan from his headache.
At first he couldn't tell that there was much of a difference, since his wings weren't all that noticeable to begin with, but when he looked around and realized just how many.../surroundings/ he had, and that none of them were in an alleyway, he realized what must have happened. The first thing he did was a quick once-over. Right, glasses, hoodie, shirt, pants, shoes, all there. At least he wasn't naked. Oh...his wings were gone, though. And he'd been looking forward to those growing. He got to his knees and peered over the edge of the fire escape, trying to get his bearings, and saw a dark shape flash past faster than thought. That said, his thoughts took a second to catch up before he realized who it was and began desperately fumbling with the ladder, trying to get it to roll down as quickly as possible. When it did, it was surprisingly clatter-free. That couldn't be right. He lifted a hand to his ear -- yes, his hearing aids were still there. He must have come out with them turned off. Kinsley didn't have time to deal with that right now, though, so he scrambled down to the sidewalk and ran after her, shouting in what could've been any voice from outside to megaphone for all he knew, "RAYNE!!"

The only thing heard for the longest time were the thud of her boots. Her mind was in a panic, her heart beating as fast as ever. Get home. Get home. It was the only thing on her mind. She heard the sound of movement. Then someone calling her. She didn't recognize it. Keep going. Don't look back. She moved faster. Home is close. Home is close.

"PLeAsE....RAyNE, COME baCK!!! IT'S ME!!" He was panting and tears had started to well up in his eyes, and he was now waving his arms, trying to get her attention.

They were following her now? Shit! If there was anytime she wished she was a vampire. It was now. She'd scream out to Raven, begging for his. No. Even now was not the time for that. Get home. Get home. Just a few more blocks, if they're still following her when she gets home, Raven will take care of them. Adrenaline was the only thing keeping her going right now.

Was she moving faster? She was. He was scaring her. How could he make her....? Hold on, how was she still running that fast, after this amount of time and after exerting herself in a fight? He took a deep breath and called at the top of his lungs, "IF YOU KEEP USING ADRENALINE AS A SOURCE OF FUEL FOR RUNNING, THERE MAY BE DETRIMENTAL EFFECTS TO YOUR MEMORY CENTER AND PAIN RESPONSE, ESPECIALLY AS IT'S COLD OUT AND YOU AREN'T IN PARTICULARLY WARM CLOTHES, MEANING YOU MAY EXPERIENCE NUMBNESS AND DUE TO THAT FALL DOWN. SO BY THAT REASONING, ALONG WITH THE FACT THAT I'M REALLY TRYING TO TALK TO YOU AND AM SIMULTANEOUSLY VERY WORRIED FOR YOUR WELL-BEING, COULD YOU PLEASE STOP??" His speech was slightly slurred due to him not being able to hear what he sounded like, but he was sure it got the point across.

Wait... the way he talked. Was that? No! Nonononono! She wasn't falling for this again. He was doing this to trick her! She just covered her ears and ducked her head. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screamed out, her vocal cords cracking from her pitch. She was close enough to home. That more than likely sparked Raven's attention as well.
She quickly found the front door to her house, key already ready. She jammed it into the lock and quickly let herself inside. Quickly closing the door behind her, she pressed her back against it, panting. Her body trembled from weakness, and she could barely keep herself standing. She slid down to the floor, trying to catch her breath.

He couldn't hear her, but he could tell by her motions that she wasn't at all inclined to stop, much less turn around and talk to him. His run slowed to a jog, then a stumble, and he fell to his knees, legs feeling like jelly and too tired to go any further. The tears had dripped past his glasses and down his cheeks, and he was hiccuping and sobbing quietly. He'd ruined /everything/. And now he didn't even have anywhere to go.
Raven looked up from the video game he was playing and ran over to the door. "Holy crap, what happened??"

That's when it hit her. When it /all/ hit her. Tears streamed down her face. "Kinsely...Kinsley tricked me." She choked out through her tears. "He tried to kill me...he...he...He pretended like he didn't even know who I was."
2015-07-27 08:01:32 -
🌀
"Tried to.../kill/ you?!" He went and got a box of tissues, then came back, placing it on her lap and hugging her. "It's okay. I'll make sure he pays for what he did."
Once his legs had stopped being immovable, dead weight, he'd gotten shakily to his feet and slowly moved towards the door she'd gone in, taking off his hearing aids to turn on on the way. But he stopped there. She hated him. She thought he'd lied to her and tried to kill her. Well, at least one of those was true. He /had/ lied to her, if indirectly. He'd let her believe he was who she thought he was, a dark-skinned vampire named Kinsley who spent most of his time in the library and would never hurt her.

"...I...I..." She couldn't make out a sentence. Instead she just held tightly onto the box of tissues. Her tears mostly did the talking anyway. How hurt she was. How scared he was. How she thought she was going to die.

....well, he had nothing /else/ to lose. Putting his hearing aids back on, almost dropping one with his shaky hands, he reached over slowly and knocked on the door.
There was a knock at the door they were sitting against, and he gave it a wide-eyed stare before looking at Rayne for her take. Was it that Kinsley guy? If it was, he would kill him for making her cry like this.

A knock. So he did follow her. He was here? Couldn't he sense that there was a vampire here now? She started crying harder now. "That's....that's probably him. He...he was following me."
2015-07-27 08:19:16 -

Now he could hear her. He could hear her sobbing through the wood. Oh God. What had he done?
"....should I open the door?" Even if it was him, he wouldn't do it without her say-so.

"I want him to go away! He hurt me!" She shouted through her tears.

He felt a terrible ache in his chest at those words. He rested his head and palms against the door and cried.
Now Raven could hear crying from the other side of the door, too. What the hell was /wrong/ with this guy?! He reached up and made sure it was locked. "You heard her. GO AWAY."
2015-07-27 08:24:18 -

Rayne heard the tears. What the /fuck/?! How heartless was this guy. She stood up and retreated to her room, not wanting to heard anymore of this.

.....she was gone. And Raven would kill him if he hung around. So, still crying, he turned and left, heading towards a nearby park. He very well couldn't live with Cale and Zane, especially with Madison already taking up the one-person allotment they had for food supply. He'd figure something out. Maybe. Or maybe he could just let himself waste away before he met a gruesome demise at Raven's hands...or possibly his teeth.

For Lance and Ivory, it was just a normal, slow day. For once neither Zane or Ren came over to demand for Ivory's attention, and Cale seemed to be keeping to himself as always. Currently, Ivory was in her room watching a movie on her laptop, and Lance had just sent out a couple who ordered a dress. Finally, Terezi was sewing for him again, which meant one less worry off his chest.

The next day, he finally realized what a terrible idea it was to try and live in a public park. Not only were there more experienced homeless people vying for resources, but cops didn't seem to like loiterers either. So he went to the only other place he could think of. Lance might hate him, but as long as he had food and shelter, he didn't care. He didn't really care if anyone hated him anymore. He deserved to be hated for what an idiot he'd been. The slightly thickset, average-looking boy of equally average height slowly entered the shop, gelled hair a mess. He didn't look up at Lance, just kept his eyes on the floor with the ceiling lights rendering his glasses opaque.

Right away, he sensed the other angels presence. He looked up from the dresses he was currently hanging up. He looked over. No partner. "Can I help you with something?" Lance asked curiously.

"I'm....Kinsley. Due to some....unforeseen circumstances, I....um....could I stay here for a bit?"

Kinsley. Well...the name sounded familiar. "Tell me more about a certain Fox, and I might."

A certain fox? "They're generally red, black, and white, with bushy tails, and....wait, nevermind." Ah. A certain Fox. "Cale's currently trying to find a meal, I'm not sure if he's yet succeeded. He also needs to find a job, and has been spending the last week or so punching pillows in place of Madison's face."

"So you're the new angel. I see you did your job a little /too/ well. Welcome to the land of the living, and I'm sure you know Ivory quite well already." Lance looked from the dresses with a warm smile.
