"...Do /any/ of us even fully know, Cale?" Ivory spoke up. "Because even Lance seems to know only so much."
I don't want to hear him scream anymore.

"Well, more of what the fuck was going on, because all I knew at the time was that he somehow watched you as a teenager."
Of course you do, you love it and it doesn't sound like drowning cats. More along the lines of a crow with a bad rash.
I'm not even sure how to respond to that comparison.
Can birds get rashes?
....let me check.

"Like I said, memories have to run out eventually."
"She does have a point, but something must be done before it gets worse."
I can shoot him in the throat and hope I get his vocal cords destroyed.
2015-07-20 07:08:55 -
🌀
"And like I said before, this is twenty years worth of memories we're talking about."
It won't really matter if it does since he'll be dead either way.
I agree, don't do that. I'd rather keep my entire body in one piece if it's all the same to you. Also they can't, though bird mites are a possibility.
I never said I didn't want her to. By all means, and pistol-whip him while you're at it.
...no. No, no, no.
2015-07-20 07:12:40 -

"I know."
"Which is why we work on finding a more permanent cure."
Yes. Yes! YES!
Wait Lucinda-
DON'T TOUCH ME!
AH! OUCH!
2015-07-20 07:20:11 -
🌀
"So we can't fix it, separating them isn't permanent, and the idiots who committed the crime only know as much as we do. This is just fabulous."
For the love of God, would you PUT DOWN THE GUN?!
That's like asking you to put down your lung.
No it's not, I don't know where you learned biology but it must've been taught by a quack! Are you alright??
2015-07-20 07:25:58 -
●
"It's not...ideal, and it's not safe to fucking jump right in without thinking."
Yes. I'm fine. It's just my shoulder.
2015-07-20 07:29:21 -
🌀
"You say that like I don't know. Of course I don't want to screw things up further."
Just your shoulder. There's no 'just' about that, especially at close range. Can you move your arm?
2015-07-20 07:31:31 -
●
"Then why are you trying to argue with Ivory."
...Yes.
Oh, please. Give me a break. He's /fine./
2015-07-20 07:33:18 -
🌀
"I'm not /trying/, she started it!"
Wow, childish much?
If you put any more bullets in him, he definitely won't be! Even if they aren't in lethal areas, he'll bleed out or suffer permanent muscle damage!
2015-07-20 07:37:16 -
●
"And I'm ending it."
Then I'll be the only one here. Sounds like a good idea :].
2015-07-20 07:39:51 -
🌀
"...whatever. Do /you/ have a better idea then?"
In theory, until you get very lonely and/or Ivory throws herself off of a building in despair. You also would no longer have anyone to blame for your every little annoyance.
2015-07-20 07:42:54 -
●
"Currently, no. I've been trying to figure things out before coming up with a plan."
That is the /point/. Wow, for a nerd you are a fucking moron.
2015-07-20 07:45:28 -
🌀
"Since you're supposedly the one who knows most, that's not exactly comforting."
...no I'm not....
Eh, you kind of are.
....So you'd prefer to start all over and abandon 'Madison' along with this relationship you've been trying to build between Ivory and Zane?
2015-07-20 07:50:09 -
●
"Exactly. Which is why I'm being cautious."
Eh, it's fun and all, but shit happens sometimes.
2015-07-20 07:52:20 -
🌀
"Fine, whatever. You be cautious, I'll try to take some kind of action, even if it only takes me half a step or so in the right direction."
And so he went to talk to Zane about it. Understandably, the victim in question was worried to hear that not only was the angel who'd spoken to Ivory partially responsible, but the problem was also being made progressively worse by their continued exposure to each other. However, he still insisted on seeing her. Of course he did. Goddammit. He seemed to be under the impression that neither of them could possibly see anything worse than they already had. In the meantime, myself and my associate made our acquaintance with the infamous Madison. Beckett as well, but to a lesser extent.
It's about time, really.
No one appreciates what you've done, and the same amount of people understand how you did it or how to fix it.
You say that like I didn't know or actually care.
I can get behind that.
As for you, I think you're trying way to hard to be apathetic.
The problem with that accusation is that you're implying the act of not caring takes conscious effort, meaning caring, thereby canceling out the apathy in question.
Does he ever shut up?
No he doesn't, and I'm not trying. It totally comes naturally.
I'm sure. Anyways, did you /want/ something or are you just here to criticize me and pretend you're cool?
I know she said to give it a few minutes, but I still think he's a douche. How the hell is Zane so innocent?
I may have to agree with you on that account, unfortunately.
That's what I thought. Alright, I'm done here.

Ah, another evening at the library. This time for research. Her laptop didn't have word on and it, and her paper on sociology was due within the week. Thankfully, she had mostly everything written down, and was just rewriting it onto the computer. Though...she was missing a source. Fuck. She kept an eye on her bag as she stood up and headed to the encyclopedias.

Kinsley had decided that since Cale didn't have anything else to do, his night was much better spent at the library. Yes, /maybe/ researching the current issue a bit, but mostly he just really wanted to. Before he'd been getting by with his encyclopedias and making Cale ask Zane to pick things up from the library when he went out during the day, but obviously the latter wasn't happening anymore, so the responsibility fell to him.
He'd never really liked how long Cale's hair was, really, it took too much effort to keep clean and wasn't even particularly stylish, so he tucked it under a ski cap and went out. When he got to the library his first stop was the encyclopedias, of course. He had to see if a new edition had been put out yet. On the way he stopped by a bronze plaque placed upon a column next to the aisle containing the satisfyingly large amount of encyclopedias. Some kind of memorial, for the...2004 shooting? Something about it tugged at him, and he puzzled over it for a moment. Had Cale heard about it somewhere before? No, that was before he'd become an angel. Maybe an expose in the news commemorating it. Yes, that must be it.

S...S...S...Ah, here it is. She grabbed the book off the shelf. She clutched the book in her hands as she walked back to her seat. At that moment, her phone buzzed. Ah, what do you want Raven? She pulled out her phone and began to read the text. Ah, noting too big. Just that she needs to walk home soon.
As she was typing out a reply, she became glued to the technology's screen. Without noticing, she then bumped into someone, her phone falling to the floor with the encyclopedia. "Shit! Sorry!" she spoke quietly upon realizing her mistake.
2015-07-20 09:04:24 -

He jumped a little, turning to look at who'd bumped into him. "No, it's entirely fine. I should have been paying more attention myself." He knelt down and picked up the phone and encyclopedia, noting the brand. Brittanica. 2010. No, it hadn't been updated. Too bad.
2015-07-20 09:08:57 -

Once he picked up the encyclopedia, she took it from him. "Thanks. I get a bit sucked into my phone sometimes. Guess the blame is 50/50, huh?" She hit send on the text, which she had just finished when she knocked into...uhm..she didn't recognize this person.

He straightened back up and glanced momentarily at the memorial again before turning his attention to her. No, he definitely didn't know her, but he hadn't expected to. "That sounds potentially painful if taken literally, but the majority of this generation has the same problem so I don't blame you quite as much."
2015-07-20 09:24:56 -
●
"Everyone has a small problem with it. What was it, 300 years ago people were complaining about how students preferred you use paper?"
2015-07-20 09:28:42 -
🌀
"Paper has definitely been around much, much longer than three hundred years. Counting papyrus, it's been in use for millennia, though I don't doubt that dedicated tablet-users had their fair share of complaints."
2015-07-20 09:33:22 -
●
"Tablets are terrible. I could never use one. Though the internet has been grateful at making sure I don't have to carry fifty of these around me at all times. " She held up the encyclopedia.
