He was very aware of how much Cale disliked Tassek, so he figured telling him exactly what would be a pretty bad idea. "....just relationship problems." And naturally, Cale interpreted this in the most twisted fashion possible. Relationship problems? Had she started dating the kid already, and now they were having a fight? Not only did that mean they had been spending enough time together for that to happen, but /they were dating at all/. Someone needed to die.

Yes, it sure would, wouldn't it? He put back a slightly creepy card that suggested that the sender might be stalking the receiver and picked up another. However, when he opened it, it started playing some love song at what has to be the loudest volume capable of a tiny speaker inside a cardstock valentine. He jolted, slammed it closed, and ducked his now red face in embarrassment, putting it back on the shelf and trying to use said shelf as a shield from the line of view of other customers.

Almost immediately, Terezi heard the sound of the card. Annoying, she must say. Those cards with sound were more annoying than screaming children. Though, it did give Terezi the cover she needed to surprise him. Not enough to put him to sleep, however. That she did not want. She stood behind him before she spoke. "You know you always stuck out like a sore thumb to me."
