He started pulling the paper off, quite excited to see what she got him this time, while Ren moved over and pet the wing mufflers protruding from Seculus's back. He didn't notice, the sensation being numbed through the fabric. Madison pulled off his jacket and let out his own wings with a stretch.

It was another photograph, but one of Seculus and Ivory sitting on a park bench, cuddling and smiling at the camera. He couldn't remember when it was taken, but he'd found it on his phone and thought it'd be nice. The photo was settled in a detailed oval frame covered in intertwined roses in faded scarlet.
