"Okay." Ren caught some of the snow on their tongue.

Once her hair looked black and not gray once more, she sat back down.

He put his arms back around her. The door opened again and Madison returned, now with a few jackets and carrying a snow shovel. "....are you planning on cleaning the patio?" Seculus asked. Without a word, he walked over to them, scooped up some snow, and dumped it on their heads.

"Be as cold as I am, dammit!" "MA--" Some snow got into Seculus's mouth and he stopped being able to protest.

"We're dead!" Ivory reached over and brushed the snow off of Seculus. "If you get Seculus sick I swear."

"He can't get sick from cold, it goes against all logic." "...you don't know that." He spit out some more snow.

Ren shook their head and both hair and snow puffed out around it.

Ivory took Seculus's hand. "Here, stand up, let me help get the rest of the snow off."

"...okay." He pulled himself up and used his other hand to lower the jacket and brush snow off his front.

"I--" He was going to reassure her, but instead his foot slid and he went down.

He fell into a drift back-first with a small "oof".

She fell on her side, facing him. The two of them sank a foot or two into the snow. Ivory couldn't help but giggle. "Told you to be careful."

He shivered a bit, still clutching her hand. "I w-was." Madison came over to help them up, holding out the shovel.

"You're cold." She pulled him a bit closer out of instinct. "Come on, lets get you inside."

"...okay." He grabbed the snow shovel and used it to sit up, pulling her up with him.

For once, Ivory was right. Seculus was curled up under his covers with a bottle of water and a fever. He grabbed his phone and blearily entered Ivory's number. No sense in getting Madison sick too...
