Madison smirked a little. Seculus smiled hesitantly, tugging his wrist out of Madison's grip to raise it of his own volition. They couldn't see either of them very well, though, through the tears welling up again in their eyes.

...I had to make up for making Ivory feel bad...by ignoring her....and not being able to help more with Ren. It...did feel nice on my end, too, to have a family....it never really occurred to me as something I could have, or even needed. The whole 'uncle' and 'daughter' thing was more of a joke, but now it's...... I took her to the park. We haven't been able to go outside, but....I can protect her from Bill, right? Can I....?

Ivory needed a break. The stress of what happened previously really got to her. At least Seculus was interacting with her now. He surprised her with a visit to the park, something they haven't done in a long time. She held his hand, fingers intertwined with his.

....I wonder if the ducks are still around....no, i didn't see them. I held her hand tightly back. Ren still hadn't...said they'd feed on Madison....but...that could wait until when they got hungry again, at least for now. It was so dark here....I wish we could come during the day.
