He heard the clicking that went on for a good five minutes and his shoulders slumped. Or maybe he was just making excuses to avoid him. He thought he had a chance to be his friend....or maybe it was to keep out whoever beat him up. Yeah, that was probably...it....

It took some effort for Zane to find an angel he knew who was willing to let him feed, but eventually he did, and the bruising was gone. He refused to go see Ivory again until that was done. He didn't need to worry her with that. Though...he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to see her again either if she was sleeping. It hurt. Was she talking to anyone yet? He knocked on the door.
