She wasn't sure as to why, but this bite was different. It was more...quiet? Terezi really couldn't describe it herself. Was it because she actually legitimately cared about Tassek or that it was because she was close to either. Either way, it wasn't something Terezi was used to.
Terezi's hands slowly moved to around his waist to get a good grip. Sure, even her instincts were trying to be gentle. Not really, she was just only weak, but she was going to pretend this was the case.
After she had taken what she needed, she immediately let go and pulled away, not wanting to hurt him anymore than she needed too.

When she was finished, he straightened up and absently touched the slightly bleeding marks. He felt a little light-headed, but other than that, it didn't really hurt. Cale was watching out of his peripheral vision. So she'd finally done it. Granted, it was a desperate situation, but still. Why was she holding him like that, though?

She looked at him with a weak smile on her face. She was okay, right? Though, she didn't feel okay. Not exactly dying, but dizzy. Maybe she could just walk it-
The world went to black as the last thing she was herself falling forward and more than likely fainting.

He caught her, surprised. It seemed the roles were suddenly reversed. He sat there with her leaning on him, a little flustered and trying to figure out if he was capable of carrying her, while Cale and an exhausted Zane dragged themselves past him. Cale gave him that 'I've got my eye on you' gesture before they disappeared down the stairwell. Weird, but okay. Tassek managed to get to his feet while supporting Terezi and pulled her back into her apartment to lay her on the couch. He noticed the movie was still there. Maybe they could watch it later.

While it wasn't normal for vampires to sleep, one would do it mostly for healing. This was probably something Terezi, desperately needed. Though with her sleep, came with memory before Tassek was even a mere thought in her mind.
A black haired maiden crawled through a second story bedroom window. No real reason other than for the element of surprise. The sound of a piano playing could be heard as she entered the home, obviously coming from inside. It was by far one of her favorite tunes, and he knew it. She crept across the room and stood by the door, peering down the hall.
"Je sais que vous Γͺtes lΓ , Terezi." The male called down from the first floor. The piano didn't cease.
"Aw, Spyders." Terezi frowned as she moved down the hall and down the stairs in their shared home. " Pourquoi gΓ’cher la surprise?"
"Parce que ce ne est pas une surprise." The platinum blonde male smiled from the piano. "Venez , asseyez-vous ."
Terezi quickly came to the area where the piano was and did as she was told. Spyders looked over at her, but frowned once he saw the bruise on her arm.
"Quelqu'un vous a fait mal ?" He asked.
She nodded.
"Ensuite, je dois prendre soin d'eux ." He stopped playing. The dream ended with him and Terezi exiting their home.
She woke in a pitch black room, groaning as she pulled herself out of her slumber.

Tassek was sleeping on the other couch. It looked like he'd fallen asleep watching her. He'd turned off the lights when they came in, figuring that when she woke up it would hurt her head.
He was dreaming too, though his was less of a flashback and more of a fantasy. He was on a white horse, charging a dragon with a...baseball bat?

Terezi rubbed her eyes and slowly got up from the couch. Once noticing that he was asleep, she especially didn't didn't want to wake him. She pulled off her hoodie and placed it over him for a substitute blanket, and headed for the bathroom.
Once there, she checked herself out in the mirror. The black eyes were still as horrible as ever, and arms were still covered in scratches and bruises, they were getting visibly better. She moved both her wrists, nope, neither one of them broken anymore.
Looks like she would be just fine.

Cale and Zane arrived home and Zane immediately passed out on the couch. Cale stayed up, though, and paced around the room. Spyders was on the loose and pissed as ever. He would definitely come back to cause more trouble. But that wasn't what bothered him. Terezi had bitten the guy because he'd begged her to. Normally, she was too stubborn to even stoop to listening to that. Was he special? Did she /like/ him? It wasn't fucking fair, she'd known him for what, two months? She'd known Cale for centuries. He'd have to try harder.

Once Terezi was done assessing her bruises, she returned to the darkened living. Did she still feel weak? Absolutely, but not as scared as before. In fact, a part of her was actually grateful for Tassek getting help. Though, she was still upset about the fact she had to worry him. She sat down on the couch she was sleeping on, waiting for him to wake.

He mumbled in his sleep but, after a minute, blinked his eyes open wearily. "....rezi? You..okay?" Was this her hoodie? He didn't think she ever took it off.

Her gaze immediately went to him once she heard her name. "Yeah, I'm fine. For real this time. Are you?" That was a dumb question to ask, of course he's fine.

Tassek sat up and touched the bite marks, which had already stopped bleeding. "...yeah. I think so." They didn't hurt or anything, which was kind of odd. "...I'm....I'm sorry I drove you to that. I know you wanted me to leave you alone..."

" I should be the one apologizing." She looked down at the floor. "I'm sorry for you having to see me like that...I didn't think things would get that bad."

"No, it's not your fault, it was that Spyders guy." He still had no idea what that whole deal was about, honestly. "Sorry I.....uh....broke down." How embarrassing. How was he supposed to protect her when he started sobbing every time she was hurt or on the verge of death?
Oh, sweet darling, you beat yourself up too much.

"No, don't apologize for something like that." She stood up and moved herself next to him. "Don't you ever apologize for your feelings, okay? You have every reason to express those emotions."

He didn't say anything. She was just trying to keep him from crying again. Wimp.
While his subconscious and that monologuing little voice in the back of his head had a fistfight (I won), he noticed how close she'd come. She seemed sincere... "It's not 'expressing', I overreact and cause problems for everyone..." If he didn't have narcolepsy this wouldn't be as much of a problem. The combination was an unfortunate one.

She went quiet for a few moments. God, she was just making things worse. Why couldn't she just make things better for them? "...I don't think you were overreacting." She quietly responded, as if she feared for what he was going to say. "And I've never seen you as a problem. You're way more than that to me."
2015-04-16 23:49:12 -
π
....huh?
It took him a minute to comprehend that statement.
And when he did, he still had no idea how to respond.
"I....vhat? You......v-vhat?"
Well, at least she got him to stop talking trash about himself.

Look at what you did, Terezi! You embarrassed him. Though if it was any consultation, she'd be blushing right now if she could."Well-I" She stuttered, trying to find the words to respond. "I mean, you're like my closest friend, and if there was anyone who I would to see me in my darkest hour. It'd be you...because I know you'd try your best to help me."
Maybe she thought of him as more than a close friend?
Wait, what? No. Where'd that come from.

The monologuing voice is disappointed. Tassek was too, a little, but he couldn't tell that was what he was feeling. To him it was just a confusing gnawing sensation in the pit of his stomach. It made him happy, though, or happier, to know that she hadn't found all of his attempted helping /completely/ useless. "I guess...I feel the same. I mean, you've been helping me out literally since the second ve met, and..." ...you're my only friend. He noticed the movie still sitting on the couch and reached over to pick it up. "Do you vant...I mean, do you want to watch it yet? Now that the whole ordeal's finally over?" He smiled sheepishly.

Terezi's gaze went to the movie. Yes, please. Lets change the subject of terezi's feelings. She was making a fool out of herself. " Yes. I'd like that." She smiled.

He set up the old film in the DVD and returned to the couch with the remote, setting the hoodie aside. The idea of making popcorn came to mind, but that seemed a little dumb considering she couldn't eat it and anyway, it was her kitchen. So he just sat and watched the old thready 'horror' flick with her, chuckling at the stupid vampire stereotypes.

Tassek was leaving one of his tutor sessions in the library, walking through the courtyard. Everything was still coated in white, though it was the thinner, slippier kind now, resulting more from sleet than puffy flakes. Still very pretty, however, and to some, quite romantic. These were the circumstances the day Li-Zhee "Lizzy" Huang decided to take the anime route and offer her true love a letter confessing her feelings. The true love in question was almost to the street when she approached him, both arms thrust in front of her with her head ducked in the most kawaii fashion she could pull off. She'd picked out her outfit special for this day, a cream knit shawl over a pretty red dress that matched her blush. For extra effect.
Unfortunately, most of this effort was wasted as the object of her affections simply refused to turn around. "Tassek!" she called after him. Nearly slipping on the icy path, he looked back at her in her odd pose and blinked. "Uh...yeah? Did you have a question?" Oh, he couldn't have set himself up better. She approached him, and glancing away for a little sheepish touch, pressed the heart-stamped envelope into his sweater-clad chest. "Yes...will you please read this? And when you have done so, be my boyfriend?" The completely straightforward request caught him off guard, especially with the image she'd been projecting in preparation for this day. "Wait...I'm sorry, but you must have...what?" She smiled at him, sweet with just a little seduction hidden behind it, and trod away. She'd have his answer soon. Her number was at the bottom of the letter.

Terezi was doing better now that Spyders had left her alone. The bruises and cuts were fully healed by now, and she able to actually look like she just came out of a horror move. Though, something slightly troubled her. It wasn't worth mentioning of course, but it stayed in the back of her mind. Empty, was the best way to put it. Like she did something wrong and now a piece of her was missing. The feeling wasn't getting worse over time, so she figured it was just nothing.
Currently, she was working on yet another dress. She was a bit backed up on taking orders for the shop that bought from her, but she was getting them done as quick as she could.

That entire encounter had been more puzzling than an octagonal Rubic's Cube, so he figured that he may as well go to the person who could help him best figure it out. He also brought a bag of fabric to make it seem like he wasn't just showing up so she could help him with his problems again. Face still red for several reasons, mostly from reading and rereading the letter, he knocked on Terezi's door.
