She looked for the right apartment number. Eventually she stumbled across it, but the door was unlocked and for the most part it seemed abandoned. "Helloooo? Anyone home?" The door to the neighboring apartment clicked open and an identical blonde head poked out. "Sorry, she's not home right now, can I take a --" Ren's smile froze on their face and their eyes emptied of expression as they stared at her. Slowly, she pulled back from the doorway and stared back, her smile gone entirely. Well shit. Looked like those chances were better than expected.

Her caution was well-advised, because the second she moved towards them, they exploded. Not literally, of course. "SHUT UP! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" They stumbled backwards against their doorframe, hands outstretched behind them. The fake smile had vanished to be replaced by bitter anger and hate.

While this was going on, Dameien was stirred awake. Yelling? The fuck. Was the Ren? He never heard Ren yell before. He got out of the bed and followed the noise. He saw Ren almost immediately. Were they...crying? He moved forward quickly, placing one hand on Ren's shoulder before stepping forward.

"Get the fuck out now before I slit your throat." An angel? What the hell?

At Dameien's touch, Ren relaxed the slightest bit, lowering their hands from their ears to their neck. They mumbled something nigh incomprehensible under their breath. The gist was somewhere between "I never needed you" and "What is all this about /need/?"
