I kissed her back, lightly and carefully. She tasted like sugar. As sweet as she is.

A moment later, she pulled away, small smile still on her face.

I placed my hand on hers, smiling softly. "...I won't let you get hurt. Let's go home. To Lance or my place?"

"As much as I want to see Madison, I don't want him to indirectly be involved. So for now, Lance."

"Alright. Let's go, then." I got up, threw away our wrappers, and Nestor waved to us as we left, slightly red. Was he watching? Oh well. I kept a firm grip on her hand.

She exited with him, and kept close as well. Just to be safe.

Seculus took her home, and remained there for a while. Holding her. Cuddling her. Kissing her. It was the most relaxed she felt in days. Though it became a problem when she didn't realized she accidentally fell asleep in his embrace during a movie. She awoke feeling stone below her, then quickly realized she was in the last place she wanted to be. Her more elegant attire was replaced with some sort of gown, and her hair was a tangled mess. She opened her eyes and realized that she was in a cell of some sort. Above her, she could hear footsteps, and it sounded like they were coming towards her.

It was all very interesting. This place. How had it become like this? Whatever the answer was, he wasn't complaining. He had much more power here than the ability to make piles his own height out of lighters. And he'd taken full advantage of it immediately. Now, after weeks of work and waiting, he had the little queen in his basement. Exactly where he wanted her. He stepped down the stairs for a visit, torch lit, and having traded his rope for a short sword. He placed the torch in a stand on the wall and looked at her from outside the bars. "Good morning."

She stood up and placed her hands around the bars. "Where's Ren?" She snapped coldly. "Where are they? What's the point of this? Why am I here?"

"Woah, woah, too many questions, little missy. One at a time. I didn't bring them, there's no point in that. They'd just get out. I don't know, and I don't care. And to teach you a lesson to both of those."

●
"We'll see about that." Her hands started to freeze the bars she gripped.

"Good idea, make the bars sticky and cold along with hard. This is what happens when you cross me. See now? If you just had let me punish Clarenz and be on my way, this never would've had to happen." He tapped the tip of his sword on the bars just above her hand.

She removed one of her hands and grabbed the sword, freezing that next. "And you should have learned to let things go." The ice quickly trailed down the sword.

He pulled it back and it cut a slit along her hand. The corner of his mouth twitched upward. "I can't do that. I can't be a doormat. If I just let you get away with that, you'd do it again. And again."

She twitched slightly, blood dripped onto the stone ground. "You can't stop me from doing /shit./" She drew her hand back.

"Yeah I can. For a little while, I bet I stopped you from thinking. Did you see an old friend recently?"

It hit her. "/You./" She lunged forward to try and grab him, but he was out of her reach, even with her body pressed to the bars. "/You did this./"

He didn't move, or so much as flinch. "Didn't expect that much from me, huh? Thought I was /docile/? Incompetent? I told him to tell you it was me. Looks like he didn't come through on his side of the deal. But it doesn't matter too much. It's almost more fun to get to see the look on your face."
2016-01-25 08:53:45 -
●
"I swear to /God/, If /I/ don't kill you, Lance surely will."
2016-01-25 08:55:44 -
🌀
"Nah. What he doesn't know can't hurt me." He tapped the frost off the metal on the wall. "And what you can't tell him, he doesn't know."

"I'll eventually wake up."

.........I put Ivory in mortal danger? It's my fault?......it's my fault.......he didn't come back. Are they both dead? Is it my fault?.....of course it is. It's all my.......Ish nervously shifted as I tried not to break down over the course of an hour, then gave me a pat on the back and just went to Seculus's room to sleep. I don't blame him......I don't deserve to have people care about me, I just get them killed..........
When I was alone once again, I was out of tears I'd held back, and I just sat on the couch and stared at the door until I fell asleep. He didn't come back.
I woke up somewhere strange.....in the forest. Alone. For a minute I panicked, until I remembered I didn't have to. I didn't need anyone else now. Lucky for me. Now that I didn't have anyone. I stood up and walked away from the trees, back to the castle, for no reason other than it was nicer there. It was probably empty now. I closed my eyes--I knew the route by heart, and I didn't want to see it--but then I tripped over a body in the front hall with a clatter of wood on diamonds. It groaned, sounding familiar. I opened my eyes and rolled over to look. Oh...right. Ren. I guess they'd be safe. They sat up and froze, whimpering. There was blood on their forehead. "......hey. What happened?" I asked. "Madi?? Where's--oh /nooo/....Ivory's--" "....she's probably dead.....it's my fault......" "Dead?? No, she just got home with Seculus, I meant her soul, it was here too last time!" I stared at them a second, and rubbed at my eyes when I felt a tear fall down my face. .....she's alive. They're both alive. They probably hate me, but they're alive, I didn't get them killed.... "Madi...? You okay...." "Yeah, I'm.......whatever. Where's her soul?" "That's what I wanted to know, Beckett attacked us, knocked me out, I didn't see what happened to her. Did he..../take/ her?" I sat up and stared at them. "Beckett /attacked/? I need to find him. I need to find him right now." "I'm going too, he's not taking my Iv--!" They tried jumping to their feet, but shouted in pain and swayed, falling to the ground again and thumping the back of their head. They disappeared. .....probably not in much state to help right now, anyways. It's up to me. Maybe I can...make up for this. Or if nothing else, make sure she's safe, that or heal her if he's done her any harm. After I'm done chopping him in half, of course.
The forest would take too long to check, the village was first, as much as I hated it. I had my axe out the whole time I charged through the streets, scaring a bubble of space around me. I questioned a few people about his whereabouts and was eventually, after some screams and asking where my master was, was directed towards a place in the back, darker parts of town. I was feeling heavier and heavier as the search progressed, but upon seeing his front door, all that weight went to my axe, which was still patterned with dark, dried blood from Lucinda's mouth. I tested it. Locked. So I chopped it down.
Beckett looked up curiously. "Somebody's home." There were pounding footsteps on the stairs. The visitor tripped and ended up at the bottom in a pile of limbs and twisted joints before regaining his feet, weapon, and rage-filled stance.
I meant to do that.
