"Thanks, lets hope I don't need it."

I was still worried, frustrated, and angry about the interaction earlier when I fell asleep. I know, 'do not let the sun set on your anger', but this wasn't one of those things I could simply let slide. Next time I saw him he was dead, whether I was supposed to be an angel or not. I found myself in Calistor again, my negative feelings physically emanating from me in the form of freezing cold. Damn metaphysical logic. I tried to calm down, I would hate to not be able to hold her hand just because it gave her frostbite. It didn't work very well. Just caused more worry. I didn't remember things working this way before, though I hadn't ever been this full of rage before either.

For Anndrea, things had gotten really quiet. Calypso was well...eternally pissed off after previous events, and it made her job that much more easier since she retreated to solitude. Hey maybe things were going to work out after all.
She, however, noticed Seculus's 'coldness' right away upon seeing him. Slowly and quietly, she moved behind him and place a hand on his back. Warm and very humid heat radiated from her hand, almost as if you were in the tropics.
"Tell me what's troubling you. " She spoke up.

I shivered, both from her sudden and unexpected touch and the still-dominant cold. I wanted to say 'nothing' again, but that was a blatant lie, and she'd said I could tell her these things, though I still didn't like the idea of burdening her with them. ".....I'm...worried for Terezi. And you. And the person who is heralding the source of the worry is someone I'd like to kill very much..." That caused worry in itself, that I wanted to kill anyone at all. Not for the first time, certainly, I thought to myself what a horrible angel I make.

She placed both her hands on his shoulders, slowly turned him around. "Terezi? Well i'm not entirely sure why but you have reason to be worried about her. We all do. The man from earlier? He is about as crazy as they come, surely he will have his own demise soon.As for me? I'm fine. My main concern is you, however." She gestured to the cold around her.
2015-05-19 05:35:32 -
🌀
"....sorry." It made her uncomfortable, I knew it. Unfortunately, I couldn't exactly do much about it right now. Meet his own demise? The thing was, I wanted to contribute to said demise. Just watching him die wouldn't be enough, and that was disturbing. "I'm worried about you through her, she has someone after her and you're both in danger."
2015-05-19 05:41:43 -
●
"/You're/ both in danger, not me. I'll be fine here. You, however, shouldn't have to apologize for anything. I'd be a bit concerned if you weren't worried. My only problem is that you aren't worried about yourself."
2015-05-19 05:44:42 -
🌀
"Why should I be? For the moment at least, I don't have anyone who directly wants to kill me. If I can do something about her problems and darling's, I'll try. Besides, if I even do have any issues that are capable of being solved, I certainly can't ask anyone else to solve them for me..." Worried about myself? I didn't need worrying about. They did. The others, who consistently had some life-threatening problem or relationship break that needed fixing. They were more important.

She gripped his shoulders tightly, and quickly gave him a tight hug. "/You/ worry /Me/ when you talk like that. As if you don't matter, but you do matter. You really do, especially to me."
2015-05-19 05:57:15 -
🌀
...what?
Dammit, I worried her. Once again, I was a bother.
"...but...I'm..." Not just I'm, /we're/ both meant to be the ones who do the worrying, who deal with the problems as they come up. No one's supposed to worry about us, or even know we're here. According to the system, I didn't even exist, and if I disappeared they would all get along just fine without me. I wasn't made to matter to anyone but one person, and it wasn't her. But I did, apparently. Why? I hadn't done anything to help her. I'd only caused her more trouble. And now I was making her cold. I wished I would stop doing that.

"Sssssh, you don't have to say anything." She quietly spoke. Was there ever anything but quiet with her? Well, except when she was angry, of course. The cold became worse, and she instinctively held him tighter.

Even if I'd tried, I didn't know what I /would/ say. Whatever it was would probably just worry her more. I wanted to hug her back, just to comfort her, but that would have the opposite effect at this point. So instead I lowered my arms, as far away from her as I could manage without completely pulling away, as much as I wanted to make her see why she didn't have to worry about me.

After about a moment or two, she finally looked up at him. "Please try to look on the bright side of things, for me?" She reached up and moved some hair out of his face.
2015-05-19 06:31:26 -
🌀
Be positive? That was...not a thing I could feasibly do under these circumstances. "...I'll try, so you won't worry, but I really can't guarantee anything." That wasn't a lie.

"You doing your best is all I could ever ask for. I assume you know this already, however." She rested her head on his shoulder.

Ah. Uh. Her hair smelled like rain. That was extremely distracting. "...y-yes." I felt the cold fade a little at the admittedly pleasant sensation and breathed a small sigh of relief for her, at which the smell filled my head again. I lifted my hands to her back and hugged her in return.

She smiled once the coldness faded slightly. She never cared for the cold, either way. Just his warmth was enough. However, it was cut short when he was the one to go fuzzy. What? She let go. What? That's not supposed to happen to him. What was going on. "Seculus..." Was all she was able to get out before he vanished completely, her voice now laced with a large amount of worry.
Terezi knew exactly what was going on. She sat in her room as Tassek and Seculus slept, thinking over possible ideas until she came to one.
Honestly, it was the only positive situation she could think of. Anything else would end up causing unnecessary bloodshed, and she couldn't put anyone she cared about in danger.
She finished cleaning her knife, and stuck it inside the waistband of her pants before putting a clean t-shirt on over the top of her, covering the hilt as well as her. Terezi had just finished showering no less than ten minutes prior. That time is what made her finally come to this decision.
Tassek would be heart broken for sure. Seculus? Maybe he could help him get over it. Maybe they'd even be better off without her.
All she knew is that she couldn't stay.
She grabbed her hoodie from the dresser and pulled it over her, pulling the hood up and over her head.
The hunters would find out quick she wasn't there anymore and would follow her, making Tassek and everyone else safe.
Socks and shoes. She laced and tied her shoes tightly.
Tassek would probably forget she ever existed, and love once more. It was for the best anyway.
Quiet, now. Here comes the hard part. She quietly moved into the living room and over to the skylight window she owned, pushing the curtains aside to reveal a door.
She turned the handle and moved outside without even bothering to close the door. Slowly, she climbed down her balcony, and reached the streets before taking off.
Goodbye, Everyone. She was so sorry it came to this.

"Anndrea?!" I tried to grab her hand, but she faded to mist, along with my surroundings. What was happening? I wandered around the empty place, searching and calling out until my voice grew hoarse and the cold was unbearable. I woke up shaking like a leaf just as the door opened and darling came in, yawning.
Tassek had had a pleasantly homework-free day at school and had stopped by the video store for a new movie on the way back. He'd ended up browsing for a good half-hour before picking something he was sure Terezi would like. When he got home to see Seculus waking up on the couch, he yawned and said "What's up? Is Terezi sewing?" He pushed himself off the couch and went over to Tassek without answering the question, ice-chip eyes panicked. He grabbed his shoulders. His hands were shaking. "Darling, did you see her on the way out, or even someone who looked like her at all?" "I just asked you if she was sewing, why would I if I'd seen here? What's wrong?" "Th-they're gone. She's gone. I...oh God."
What the other vampire had said. Her bad lie. She knew exactly who they were, and apparently decided the solution was to leave entirely. I whimpered and put my hands to my head, entangling my long fingers in my mess of hair. "This is my fault, I could have forced her to explain, I could have kept her from leaving, oh God, oh God...." "Explain what? What the hell are you talking about?!" "Da...Tassek, she left, I don't know where she's gone, but she left, and not just for an errand or a meal." "You're saying...she ran away?"

6 months. Six months since she has been on the run. Six fucking months since she has been in this city. This entire time she had been all over the country and back, and now she has ended up back here.
Well not entirely by choice, some things happened along the way. Anndrea stood by her side as they walked down the empty street. Yeah, she was human now. If the pony tailed midnight hair wasn't a dead giveaway of who she was, the sports bra and capri pants would. Surprisingly enough, she was quite strong as well for a human. Terezi learned that quick.
Terezi's hoodie hung on her arm. Normally, she would of given the just too small hoodie to Anndrea to have on these cold nights, but currently she needed it. Terezi was trying to stop the bleeding to a wound, and kept the cloth pressed to her. They had been attacked some time ago, and now they both needed a place to sleep. Terezi kept her knife hidden just under the hoodiem gripped tightly in her hand in case they were attacked here as well.
It wasn't Terezi's idea to come back to New York City, but with some realization and convincing, Anndrea was able to persuade her. They both needed sleep and shade, and New York was the only place to provide it.
"How much further?" Terezi asked Anndrea, who was mostly leading them to somewhere. Terezi currently wasn't fit to make any rational decisions currently, so Anndrea was put in charge. They better hurry, though, the sun would be up soon.
"Not too far, I am trying to hurry."

Tassek was on the way back to his place from the library. Seculus was still at work, so he'd have the place to himself. He wasn't sure if that was good or not. Despite all the people, old friends, enemies, and alliances, who'd been gathering around him to help find Terezi, he'd been terribly lonely without her. He could tell that Seculus and Cale were too, though the former he wondered about. He'd finally cut his hair, and it was short in the back with the everpresent swoop over one eye, a little more refined than the untouched rocker style. He'd stopped caring what he wore, and was currently adorned in some kind of band t-shirt he'd gotten at the thrift store, sweats, and a tattered green jacket. He kept his phone in his pocket at all times now, in hopes of receiving news from one of the others about her whereabouts.
He walked down the street, eyes on the ground. He'd stopped being able to appreciate the bright neon lights. But then, over the monotonous din of the crowd, he heard a familiar voice that raised his hopes along with his head. It surely wasn't, how many times had he thought he'd come across her only to find it was a stranger?
No. It was her. He saw her face. And he began running towards her, a smile spreading across his face for the first time in months.

Suddendly, she heard running. They heard running. Oh shit. Had they found her already? Fuck fuck. No it's cool. It's cool. Calm down. She didn't sense any vampires so she was okay, just calm down. Okay maybe if she turned around-
Oh shit, it was him. They found her already, and now the male was coming for the kill. She made a pained animal like whine before stumbling backwards and she tried to pull the knife out from her hoodie.
Anndrea immediately caught Terezi upon looking at the shorter male moving towards them both. "Terezi, calm down! It's just Tassek. Don't over work yourself, please!" Her voice sounded desperate.
Upon hearing his name she dropped the knife.

The smile disappeared and he stopped in his tracks when she made the pained noise. "T-Ter....Terezi?" The other girl had said her name. And his. So it must be her. But how did she know him on sight? She was back, /she was back/. He started feeling a bit dizzy. This was all too overwhelming. Oh no, not again, not now!

Anndrea took a few steps forward, noticing that he was looking slightly confused as well as well...dizzy. She put her hands up in a surrendering gesture. "It's Anndrea. Just please, don't cause a panic. I'll explain everything. Terezi needs sleep, and quick."
Terezi shakingly pressed the hoodie to her wound a bit harder. Fuck NO. "I'm not going Anndrea. You can, but I won't. I'm not risking it."

Anndrea. That name sounded familiar. Oh, right, Terezi's angel...what was she doing here? He nodded and hesitantly went over to Terezi, hugging her tight and holding the fabric to the wound for her. "Please, don't go again, come on, you can get some rest...."

Terezi shook her head. "No, I don't want to go."
Anndrea wlaked over and slowly picked up the knife. "Just pick her up yourself. She won't say yes, and can't really fight back right now."
