He whined and closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep. Jake manages to fall asleep after a bit, sleeping peacefully. He'd be sore when he woke up, trying to move with a pained groan.

Dirk had gotten him home, putting him in the cage while he was moving around. When he heard the groan he pulled him out and lay down with him.

He breathed slowly, resting his head on his arms. "Please don't be angry." The smaller male mumbled. He hoped that Dirk wasn't too angry at him.

"You ran away from me Jake" he stated, still rubbin his hand gently on his side. "I thought we understood. Why did you run?"

"I.. I don't know..." He looks away, looking down at the floor. "I just left... I thought he would bring me back! But he didn't, and he made me.. He made me..." Jake sniffles and he rubs his nose, whining at the strain in his muscles.

"I-it won't." He promises, his eyes feel heavy, letting them fall shut. He probably has a black eye, at least one. From what he saw he's covered in bruises, dark splotches all over his arms, legs, chest and stomach. "Did you- kill him?" Jake questions, eyes fluttering open again.

The heat would actually worsen the bruises, but he was also still punishing him a bit. This is what he got for running away. He drew a Luke warm bath before slipping Jake into it, "there we go, not too hot?"
